I always had such clear, beautiful skin(not bragging, promise) my whole life. I loathe the random bumps, patchy skin😭😭. I now always wear long sleeves. I feel so old it makes me wanna cry some days 😭
Dry, crepey arms, dry flakey legs, spots. I think, the worst image are the girls going south. Weight lifting exercises on list to do. Thank you, Kari, for the journey. The pause is not an easy path. ❤
Thank you Kari for being an educator and a supporter for those of us that go through this horrible mess, days I’ve cried and couldn’t talk to anyone because they just didn’t understand, then I found your channel.❤ bless you and your family
Thanks for mentioning the itching in the lady bits area. I have no medical reason the outer bits should itch so much. The itching magically appears and disappears when it wants. It can drive me crazy!
Kari, it is so kind of you to help others inspite of own challenges. I really paid for it during the earlier stages of peri but touch wood, I just have a little tingling on my scalp which is pleasantly ticklish at times and occasional cramping in my hands during sleep. My complexion has always been fairly decent but I just discovered a new beauty secret which may work for some. Wet your face and neck. Rub half a teaspoon of inexpensive honey using gentle circular motions. Rinse and allow your face to dry on its own without using a towel. Cheers. 😊
There is nothing good about menopause! I am 12 yrs in and it is just awful!! Your videos make me crack up, you are amazing! Thank you for all you do ❤️🤗
The itchiness has been torture! I went to my doctor last week for a yearly physical, and he believes my issues are related to my thyroid. My thought…he’s a man who hasn’t had the privilege of menopause symptoms nor studied actual menopause symptoms, but the blood test results may “reveal” more. Repeating myself in saying you have been a Godsend, not only confirming these weird symptoms are real, but for the addition of collagen to my diet. I can’t tell you how much better my knees and joints feel. Thank you.
For itchy lady bits i have been using Honey Pot soothing wash. Its about $12 but a little goes a long way. I only use it for the outer areas not in the vagina. It really really helps. Ive been using evening primrose oil on my face and that has made a difference too.
Alllll of this! :-) I first clicked on your videos because I am in perimenopause and your video popped up in my suggestions. We look so much alike, we could be sisters and I decided to see what was common for others in perimenopause. I thought I was losing my mind with the bug biting sensation! And not loving that I have hooded eyelids, so I'm wondering how they are going to look in a few years. It gives me hope that maybe my eczema will calm down when I'm finally in post menopause. Thanks for posting this!
Acne has been the worst for me. A home-made herbal sprits using Organic Yarrow Flower, sprayed on the affected area on my face, has done wonders for me. Thank you Kari for all you do for humanity!!! Light and Love to ALL!!!💚💫🙏
The itching is INSANE and something mama never warned me about. I've very much upped my skincare routine (Prequel Skin, Naturium, and Rhode have been blessings and help tremendously with dryness) with good results, but will shamelessly advocate for a bit of Botox if one can afford it. A little between the eyes and in the forehead keeps me from looking as pissed off as I often feel. 😂
Thank you so much for talking about menopause so candidly, I can’t tell you how it’s helped me! I do have a question; has anyone heard of menopause causing bleeding after picking up or carrying something somewhat heavy?
Thanks Kari, same thing happening to me it make me feel so depressed. Wrinkle just appear and saggy skin... it's crazy.. all that you've mentioned I'm experiencing ..
Thank you so much for this video!! I have the burning numbness in my hands and feet, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. And I always feel like I have a bug or stray hair on my arms. Sheesh, there are so many unpleasant symptoms going on in this menopause phase!! At least I know I'm not dying or losing my mind.
I've also been dealing with annoying hives. Raised, pink bumps around my neck, breasts, stomach and upper legs.😡 It seems to flare up during the night while sleeping or attempting to sleep. Never had these issues before menopause.
My back has been itching for about a year. The dermatologist couldn't find anything to treat, so it's peri. You did skip alopecia as a skin symptom. Whether it's extreme or just thinning, it accelerates in menopause. I have so few hairs on my legs that I just tweeze them instead of shaving.
Thankyou for this video, i have neuropathy in my feet and arthritis it was all under control but in the last 4 months my feet really hurt and burn and ive wondered why, now i know it my be because I'm in the perimenopause stage but I'm still keep getting checked if my diabetes is under control 😊
I itch all the time!! Also, when scratching I get red marks more easily and sometimes bleed. I feel invisible bugs and it freaks me out! I also have bad rosacea flare ups which started in my mid 30s. Whenever I’m under stress or embarrassed my face will just heat up and turn bright red. It’s so embarrassing!
I have found that mixing say half a tsp of food grade bicarbonate of soda with my normal face wash on my hand and then applying really helps. After a few days of doing that once or twice a day it really minimises the acne, if not gone depending on the severity of it.
I upped my skincare routine with Prequel Skin (now available at Target, as well as online) and added the Clearly spray from Topicals (online and Sephora) and it's helped tremendously with acne, as well as dryness, itching, and enlarged pores. Also, Good Molecules pimple patches are wonderful for spot treatment and very affordable.
45 and definitely in perimenopause. Have had the itchy skin for a bit, but now the hives have started at the bra lines, underwear lines, inner thighs 😢. Hope this goes away!
I'm 54 and i have noticed i get very dry/flaky eyelids, can anyone suggest anything i can use for sensitive eyes, thanks Kari for all your helpful info xx
I think I maybe moving towards debating whether or not to take collagen. At nearly 59 my skin thinks it's in its teenage stage again and I have that Paresthesia, as I have Carpal tunnel in both of arms since the age of 37, the electric shocks and numbness are awful. Good grief what we women have to put up with 😊
