    Had my tefal Jamie pan for almost 8 years now and it's still a brilliant pan. looking a bit ropey these days but it does the job still. Love the recipe too, crispy fish skin is a wonderful thing! Monkfish would be good in this too I reckon. A bit expensive but it's a tasty fish 🐟🐟🐟

    Glad that more and more chipotle flavored products are coming to the UK. One of my favourite spicy flavors and have missed it dearly since I left the states many years ago.

    • @ahpadt
      @ahpadt 7 лет назад

      Drezzek01 they sell dried chipotle paste and seeds/flakes at sainsburys. Together with fried pork mince and onion, the paste is wicked.

    • @Sigfried83
      @Sigfried83 7 лет назад +2

      Drezzek01 you can do your own chipotles. Get fresh red jalapeños, smoked them and then dry them in the sun. boom

    • @Drezzek01
      @Drezzek01 7 лет назад +1

      Iv made chipotle several times on my parents smoker, they have a giant oil drum style smoker grill and it does a good job of it.

      Andres Garza How long should I dry them out in the sun?

    • @Sigfried83
      @Sigfried83 7 лет назад +1

      Professor Kit it depends on where you live I guess. usually take 2-3 days using a cheese cloth hanging on the porch of your house with direct sunshine, but jefe you are gonna uses your sensorial senses to determine it. Dry chipotles have a spongy flesh in the inside

    You need to leave the jalapeño's seeds in to get that hot, spicy flavor, instead of using hot sauce. When we make sauces, we use only the vegetables and don't add hot sauce, and we get some spicy stuff.

    couple of questions:
    1. I often see people go into teflon pans with metal cutlery, while I learned to never do that to prevent scratching the coating. is there anything to it? or are modern teflon pans just better than they were 20 years ago?
    2. how do you eat these? it doesn't look like you can roll them up when they're this heaped with food :D

    • @dianebejarano7317
      @dianebejarano7317 3 года назад

      A taco is folded in half with filling in the middle. A burrito is rolled. However we say anything in a tortilla is some kind of taco. So my mom made us scrabled eggs and bacon and rolled them up burrito style and said come and get your egg tacos. Heh heh Breakfast of champions.

      Andres Garza I was gonna say that, little details here and there, I like my tortillas to puff up. But the kiwi salsa gave me an idea...have you tried mango salsa? It's like poco de gallo, but with cubed mango...that could work with kiwi as well!!!

    • @Sigfried83
      @Sigfried83 7 лет назад +4

      Frank Pichardo actually another way to make a creamy tomatillo salsa verde is adding grill zuchinni to the blend. We used that sauce on every taco a la canasta.

    You want the heat from the jalapeno buuuuuut you removed the seeds, so, how's that work?
    Chipotle answered my question I think.
    Chunkily is my favourite way to chop things, also, getting my first Santoku this week I think, very excited.
    This is just my opinion, but I think for that amount of ingredient, I'd make bigger tortillas. Looks pretty great though.

    HI. I'm a Korean. your big fan :D . I purchased 'Everyday Super Food Korean Edition'. I tried to make it, but it is hard to get the ingredients like (rucola, time) in Korea, and it seems that the beginner is too hard to cook. How do i become skilled enough to perfect what came out of a cookbook?

    • @aliki.mp3
      @aliki.mp3 7 лет назад +1

      Weird that you can't find thyme and rucola in Korea, no Italian restaurants? You could always grow your own thyme and rucola, you can find seeds online.

    • @dcgangj
      @dcgangj 7 лет назад

      David Smolders Yes it is hard to find an Italian restaurant in Korea T_T. Thyme can be purchased in a small number of markets, but most people do not even know what Lucola is :(

    • @jessnoack
      @jessnoack 7 лет назад +1

      Are you able to find dried herbs? They will last a lot longer than the fresh ones and will still taste really good, you just need to use slightly less of them. If you can't find rucola (rocket/arugula) then you can always use some spinach and add a little more pepper (as rucola has a peppery taste). Like someone else has said, you can definitely swap out ingredients to options that are easier for you to get. Good luck!

      Yes but i never made without lard, bacon grease, vegetable or shortening or veg oil and salt. And most people use baking powder. Mom did not so i dont. And i knead forever until it is elasticky. Thats why i dont make flour tortillas very often. I think people will be making rocks or glue with flour and water. I want to try but i will add salt. I thought he made corn. Corn you just add water and salt. Press and cook.
