    Kim, when you said "fussy cutting," all the years of quilting came back to me. Because I couldn't find my cloudy template plastic, I thoroughly washed a clear lid from a take-out restaurant. I cut out the plastic to fit the earring blank; used the clear plastic to center the design; and then traced around it on the sublimation paper. If you'd like a photo, I have one for you.

      @@KimByers They turned out as close to perfect as this method can get. The best part is how confident I felt even before I peeled off the paper.

    After you flip the uploaded image, do you still mirror when printing? Thanks for a very informative session,

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  2 года назад

      Hey Johanna! You only need to flip the image in Canva, and mirror image in Cricut Design Space. They are really the same thing soo you're only doing it once depending on what system you're using. Thanks so much for watching and great question! 💕

    I don’t have a sublimation printer right now so I purchase my designs on Etsy but is there any way I can purchase smaller designs or bigger designs other than the 1.8?

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  6 месяцев назад

      Hey Shamika! I've used a pattern and printed out the image and then cut around it to get my design. And if you use a free service like Canva.com you can increase and decrease the size of a vector image. They even have tons of free ones. (The images marked with a crown are part of their paid program, but tons are free.) Thanks for crafting with me and best of luck with your projects! 💕

    I’m wanting to purchase some really cute designs on Etsy. How would I go about sizing the design to fit the earrings? I’m a newbie.

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  2 года назад +1

      Hey Heather! I would bring my design into Cricut Design Space or into Canva and then resize it there. I believe I go over Canva in this video. I have another for Cricut Design Space if you use that software: ruclips.net/video/nbOTbdnJKks/видео.html Thanks so much for watching and happy crafting!! 💕

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  2 года назад

      Hey Debra! To be safe I would protect the back with butcher or parchment paper and allow the tape to hold it in place. As for heat, I used 400 for these. Thanks so much for watching and happy crafting!! 💕

    I’m so confused on how to size these.

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  Год назад

      I go over design in the video, but my best advice is to measure your earring, go into Canva, use the CIRCLE shape and resize it to the size of your earring. Then move your pattern or design onto that circle and size it down until it looks how you would like it to. Finally delete the circle and print. I hope that's clear. Best! 💕

    What do you recommend for shifting? I heat tape them, however I am still struggling with the image shifting once i closed down the heat press on them.

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  Год назад

      Hey Tiffany! Earrings are tough because they are so very small. Have you considered preparing your design and then taping them flat to another sheet of paper to secure them from moving/shifting? Or, if you're selling them and you need them to be perfect I might look into shrink paper and a heat gun to secure the design before pressing. Not sure if that would work, but it's a thought. Hope your next batch are perfect! 💕

    We bought the small teardrop wooden earrings off of Amazon, used A-Sub sublimation paper (125G) they recommended when you buy the earrings, but we still are not getting them to work. Our earrings turn yellow and nothing sticks to it. Can someone help?

    • @KimByers
      @KimByers  2 года назад

      Hey Dawn! Did you remove the clear covering? If it's still on the earring the color won't stick to it and it will heat up and turn yellow. I hope you figure it out and can start making lots of fun earrings! Thanks so much for watching! 💕
