Hi Angie. I really enjoyed this video and I'm so glad that I came across it. Your video is the first one that I have came across that does both sides of the earrings at the same time, which makes sense to me. Thank God someone else feels the same way I do 😊. I couldn't figure out for the life of me, why people don't Sublimate both sides at the same time. So, I just want to say Thank You 😊. Your earrings turned out so Beautiful. I know you were disappointed in the small tiny earrings, as I would have been too. Overall, I Love all the other earrings. Great 👍🏽 Job and Video. ❤😊
Thank you so much for this video. I was struggling to get the earrings I was making to work put them aside and said I'm going to watch a video on how to. I picked yours as usual and watched and said duh I was doing it wrong. I was pressing the earring to the picture. Woke up this morning came in and pressed the picture to the earring and it worked perfectly. Again thank you so much.
Angie, You are amazing! Your videos are so helpful. I have watched most of your videos but forget to leave you a comment. I trust your advice as I navigate through learning to use my Cricut and sublimation. I want you to know how much I appreciate what you do and you do such a great job!
I actually got those same round earrings for sublimation and I used aleene's tacky glue and they turned out perfect. Thank you so much for the video. I appreciate all you do
I really can appreciate your honesty as well as your time I will be continuing to watch to get idea's for my crafting as well. Thank you so much Angie.
Hello, Miss! I make these also, but do not buy the sub blanks, instead buying wood blanks and using lamination pouches to sublimate. Works great! Thank you!
Thank you for all the information in this sublimation earrings video. I have been very happy with the MDF earrings I have made. I did not know about the metal stud ones and would like to try them. I did not know you could sublimate both sides at once.
Thank you for this video, Angie!! I love the mdf earrings 😍 can't wait to try them out. Especially appreciate that you showed the failed ones as well... so helpful. I appreciate your tutorials and efforts !!
Thank you for this video! I'm getting ready to try some earrings and keychains soon so it was nice to see the different materials. I am also going to be trying acrylic blanks as well. That gives them more of a transparent look though and I'm not sure if that's what I want yet! I used to make jewelry with metal trays and glass. Boy was that frustrating to get right! It all had to do with using the right paper, right ink so it wouldn't smear or run, and then using just enough of the right glue under the glass so it would cover the whole thing smoothly, but not ooze over, and if there were any air pockets it would leave a spot that almost looked like glitter, but not as nice! I ended up gluing my glass onto the image first, letting it dry, then trimming it and gluing it into the trays! It's all about trial and error and experimenting!! Part of the "fun" creative process, that can be SO frustrating at times! 😂 Thank you for sharing not only your successes but also your "fails"! At least we know we're not alone!!
Thankyou for the tutorial ! I was wondering how you did the hole for the sublimation paper please and can I use infusable vinyl instead as I don’t have a printer? Thankyou
I keep reading the reviews on the Gorilla gel super glue and way too many people say it ruins the ink like in this video. Either that or the bottle won't squeeze out the glue, it's chunky or dried out inside, or it dries out before they can use it a second time. What brand super glue did you use?
Angie. I was wondering if you could go over how to make the shapes for the earrings to sublimate. I am struggling with the football, narrow pointy football, and cross etc.. i bought them from amazon. I don't know how to make the shapes .. thank you
@@AngieHolden Thanks so much! Gonna try my first sublimation project with infusible ink transfer sheets & my new mini. So excited! 😎 Thanks for your guidance. Live your videos. I always learn so much!
Angie, I tape my earrings to hold in place. Sublimation is beautiful, but I see an indention on the earring where I had tape over paper. Any idea what I can do? Thks!! Love your videos!
I’ve noticed with some of the MDF blanks, there is a sticky residue left over from the protective backing. How could that issue be solved? What could it be cleaned with, if anything?
Love you videos! They have helped me so much in my learning to sublimate. I do have a question I have been doing the MDF earring and Christmas ornaments but doing one side at a time and using heat tape to hold the design but when I lifted the heat tape off (the already finished side) it lifted my design right off the piece. :( Do you have any suggestions?
I was just reading all those same reviews you mention. I'm a beginner at sublimation. I wonder if adding a layer of Mod Podge over the printed design would help. I usually hate the brush marks it leaves but the layer of glue might just hide that. Any chance you might test that theory in a new video?
So I know you said at the end of the video that you got faux leather that you supposedly can sublimate on, but that turned out to be a fail. But have you found a different faux leather that does work to sub on? I have tried mdf earrings. But I like the look of faux leather earrings better. I’d love to be able to sub directly on the earring blank that’s faux leather instead of subbing on vinyl, then applying the vinyl to the faux leather.
They look like mood rings from back in the day 😉. How do you handle jewelry glue so well? I used dangle sublimation shells sold as earrings and they worked well. I used infusible ink pens on them. Thanks for another fun video.
The Faux leather ones do NOT claim to be used for sublimation, but rather they are heat transfers using Dark transfers from a non-sublimation ink jet. From what I've been reading. They show a video about the heat transfer application.
UGH! Amazon blanks can be SO FRUSTRATING! I would say it was the quality of the coating that was added to them. I chipped one of the earrings but it was totally MY fault as I did it with the pliers.
I thought I saw in one of your videos that you aren’t supposed to put heat resistant tape over the back of the sublimation paper/ink as it stops it from sublimating correctly. Is that not the case?
It should NOT stop it from sublimating. There are cases were it can leave a mark but I generally don't worry about it. You may have seen that for Infusible Ink? They do say that for that product.
These are a lot of work for the studs just my opinion. I do not get the sublimation studs. This is the simpler way- (everything I purchase for the stud earrings I purchase off of Amazon.)I get the regular studs that come with the dome, and the backs only, no sublimation metal circles. These are way cheaper without the little metal circle. Instead of sublimation I use glossy sticker paper, with super glue gel. I use my regular printer to print on the sticker paper. Glossy photo setting on printer. I use my Cricut to print then cut the sticker paper. Stick the sticker to the earring. Then glue them with super glue gel. Then clamp them down till dry. I find that if you do not clamp them down even when using jewelry glue they tend to get bubbles. You don't even notice till the next day when they dry that the bubbles appear. Just to let you know the super glue gel does not run the ink when using your regular printer, and glossy sticker paper. No warming up my heat press. This way of doing the earrings save so much more time. I guess if you love sublimation, or do not have a regular printer, this video would be an option for the sublimation lover. But I have to be a time saver.

Thank you for another great video with useful information as always.
Glad it was helpful!
I had an extra piece of self stick lamination that I tried on my stud earrings. It failed. I have diamond glaze on order and hope it works

In my keychain video, I have acrylic blanks if you want to get an idea of what they look like. I am sure earrings would be similar.
@@AngieHolden Excellent thank you! I'll have to go back and watch it again, it's been a while!!
great teaching video
Glad you think so!
@@AngieHolden you are welcome honey
G morning could I use the wooden earrings from Hobby Lobby? Love your videos thank you
No. The earrings need to have a sublimation coating on them.
Thank you for shat
Love your videos! Do you use a mask when you sublimate for the fumes? If so which one do you recommend? Thank you in advance!
I just open a window in my space.
Thankyou for the tutorial ! I was wondering how you did the hole for the sublimation paper please and can I use infusable vinyl instead as I don’t have a printer? Thankyou
With sublimation, you don't have to worry about the hole. Only the ink transfers. You can use Infusible Ink in this same way.
@@AngieHolden Thankyou so much Angie x
can you used a regular iron for this project please let me know soon thanks
You probably can. It is tricky but possible.
i use the studd earrings all the time the best thing i found to use is the gel super glue and it works amazingly
Good to know!

If I wanted to sublimate on just basswood, I would have to place a coating first?
Correct. You can see some ideas here: ruclips.net/video/BBwtVhFPtHQ/видео.html
I just tried some mdf sub and I must didn’t heat long enough but you are using infusion ink correct
These are all sublimation prints that I printed with a sublimation printer and sublimation ink. You can use Infusible Ink though.
❤new suscribers here love you video thank you ❤️
Angie. I was wondering if you could go over how to make the shapes for the earrings to sublimate. I am struggling with the football, narrow pointy football, and cross etc.. i bought them from amazon. I don't know how to make the shapes .. thank you
I just sublimated the entire thing. It doesn't matter if you go over the edge. Your print can be way bigger than the earring itself.
Where do you buy the decorative sublimation paper? Or do you make it yourself and if so how
I just printed sheets with my sublimation printer that were a design. You can buy sheets like this various places however!
I don't have a sublimation printer, can you purchase already printed paper somewhere? I would love to start making earrings.
Yes! You can do Infusible Ink or you can print your own custom things here: ruclips.net/video/bw5l_DWGNqk/видео.html
Could I use the mini easy press on high for this?
Yes you could.
I have never had this issue. Sounds like maybe the blank itself. You can try different earrings or use a sublimation adhesive spray instead of tape.
Hi! Have you ever used raw wood for sublimating earrings?
You would need some sort of coating on them in order for sublimation to work properly.
Did you try UV resin over the studs before the glass piece?
I did not. I think that would work though!
After submitting, do you use something to spray or coat the earrings with to help protect them from scratches
No need!
What size is the Easy Press you are using in this video? I am looking for a smaller one, but bigger than the mini. Thank you for your videos!!
Try this: ruclips.net/video/ympWnw8Kk_4/видео.html
I’ve noticed with some of the MDF blanks, there is a sticky residue left over from the protective backing. How could that issue be solved? What could it be cleaned with, if anything?
I would clean it with rubbing alcohol if that is the case.
How do you size them for the earring blanks with a design on them???
You can measure your blanks with a ruler and resize before printing. I just used full sheets of print.
Boo! Can you try an adhesive spray instead of the tape?
@@AngieHolden I will give that a try. Can you recommend one? I've never used it before.
Have you ever used glitter HTV on the backs of the MDF earrings instead of sublimation?
I have not!
Hi, thank you for your helpful videos! New subscriber 😊
Did you use heat tape for these? And what brand do you recommend to use ?Thanks !

@@AngieHolden 😁
Where did you get the printed paper?
I printed it on my sublimation printer.
I love this! It's nice knowing we all make mistakes 😂 How did you cutout the extra paper in the earring that had the cut outs in them?
You don't have to! It just has nothing to sublimate to there.
@@AngieHolden oh yeah! I had a brain fart 🤣

They said sublimation at the time of this video.
I’m confused, I thought when you put heat resist tape on you sublimation 😢print it won’t print on were the tape is , help please
If you were to put tape between the surface and the print, it wouldn't transfer.
@@AngieHolden so if i just tape the image to the item its ok, but if the tape gets on the item im sublimating it will not work
