@@brendan.plays.guitar Your welcome! For mics I recommend the Shure SM57 or the AKG Pro Audio C414 Instrument Condenser Mic. After looking around the web abit, most lists and even some great guitarists on youtube recommend these for recording. For amps, just go to your nearest guitar store or go websites that you can trust to find the best amp. Also, what recording software do use. (if you use one, i'm still unsure how people record their guitars for youtube.) If you don't, (which i think you don't becuase it sounds like its coming directly from the amp. {I may be wrong})
I don’t have any recording software and it is coming directly from the amp. I recorded the solo by itself with my phone and added in the audio of the backing track.
