I LOVE this Grand Cherokee. Looks amazing. I have one myself that's relatively clean, it's got some rust and rot in the common spots but the frame is good and solid and I wanna do some light modifying to it. Not quite as much as this but something similar with the roof rack and slightly bigger wheels on a 2 inch lift. Just something to hit some fun trails and mud without breaking anything Haha.
Awesome work, thank you for sharing this and being an inspiration for my new project WJ. Mine is more of a rescue that I'm looking to give a second life. Seeing what you've done makes me feel so good about this mission.
Mines a 2000 wj, switched from a 99 Cherokee lifted.. Quadratec is where I just ordered my zone lift with nitro shocks.. $1454.00 new 16 /265 mud tires!! Hopefully no rubbing..
o m f g ! ! ! this is pretty much how i envisioned my JGC to look like.!!! Just bigger wheels, front and rear bumper guard rails? and a different color. CLICKED THE LIKE BUTTON! HEHE
2001 jeep grand Cherokee laredo 4x4 inline 6, 4.0 242 wj pretty clean for a michigan vehicle. Just a little bit of rust on one door. Passenger rear door. I got 400,000 miles on mine.
You should pull off the plastic rocker cover and check for rust. I have an 04 as well, currently doing rocker work. Im in Maryland so we are both in the salt belt.
The car is cool. I am off-loading with the same wj as you in Korea Very nice to meet you I'm purchasing parts from eBay. Please give me information about the front shackle and wheels of your car. Please enjoy jeep life ~
Hey man I’m seeing this in 2023 and you have a very nice build but I was wondering how you mounted those front lights on the bumper I’m looking to do the same just don’t know how, thanks in advance
Nice jeep congrats man thats the way i wanted mine to look when i had it mines the roof rack but everything else over all nice jeep like the color too good job
4.7? I couldn't figure out where to put my CB so I just got one of the "everything on the mic" versions. Really wanted a standard one. Mines a daily driver so putting it there and trying to use the passenger seat just won't work. Perfect stance, great looking rig
I only payed $1000 for my 2000 Jeep WJ Laredo because the guy couldn't find a parasitic battery problem, which I painstakingly resolved. (Chrysler!). These jeeps are a lot of machine for a little scratch.
just bought my 2000 Grand cherokee and new to the whole jeep crew. I do wanna make mine look like yours. If i were to run the same wheels/tires size on a 3 inch lift will the tires rub? or do i need to run a 4 inch lift? thanks
You have a recall on your jeep for that hitch. jeep dealership will replace it w/ the factory mopar hitch integrated into your rear bumper so long as you havent' had it in for any recalls so far...just fyi.
Lol i have 02 wj with alot of rust comtemplating getting another without the rust. I had the v8 loved it, considering getting the 4.0 though it would probably easier to maintain? How does it take off with those beefy tires?
Super nice 4x4 WJ!! I’m contemplating on buying one of these for a daily/hunting vehicle but I’m afraid of the reliability, I’ve had bad experience with Jeep in the past and I can’t make up my mind 😔
Jeep. Just empty every pocket Cheapest thing about a jeep is the owner.. I had to rebuild my headers after my wife over heated it. While it was a pain.. the set up allows the weekend warrior to wrench with just a bit of senior guidance. Being able to get out of town is worth it.
Definetly one of the slickest looking WJs Ive seen. I love that you didn't do a 6.5" lift because for a daily driver that is overkill. Also, haven't seen too many of the WJs with that dark Green, it is sharp. Im going 3" lift on my WJ here soon, didn't want to deal with drive shaft angles, even though I have the double cardon driveshaft. Did you end up selling this beast? Thanks, Tyler
Thanks! Yeah def not a common color for these wj’s. Yours Jeep is going to be bad ass too, 3inch lift looks so good and will make the already capable Jeep practically unstoppable! Yeah I sold it a long time ago, biggest mistake ever. I actually just saw it on the road last week in the town I work at; so if I ever catch the owner I’m going to offer to buy it back from him haha
@@coejbee Yeah they are fun vehicles, I had a TJ Wrangler a few vehicles ago before the WJ, i love the WJ. The only thing I liked more about the TJ was taking roof and doors off in Summer when I lived in NC. If you ever get another post a video.
Make sure yiu get a v8 if you wanna go bigger tires that are closer to 33s , also if you find a v8 get one that has the double cardan front shafts most overland models have lifted suspension and stay under 2004 since these are the last years they have solid axle
-Wheels are 15x8, 3.75 backspacing-Zero issues clearing the brakes. Idk why so many people say WJs can’t use 15 inch wheels. Maybe the V8 WJs have bigger brakes? But I’ve had 15s on multiple separate WJs & ZJs that I’ve had through the years and never had issues.
Connor James After this video i checked to see if u had others and noticed no wj. I was thinking you sold. Lol all good. But check out the pa jeep show.
@@coejbee I heard you're on 4 inches. Is that a short arm lift or long arm? How does it ride? I bought those IRO C-gussets, but due to circumstances I didn't install them. Their tech dept said I may have to grind/clearance the gussets to install on any WJ. Did you have to do that?
X Mo yeah there was some grinding. I actually bought some teraflex C gussets for my JK a few years ago, and they were just simple weld on pieces, but no where near as beefy as the IRO gussets, so I think the extra work for the IRO ones is worth it in the end
X Mo Short arms. It rode better than a stock Jeep. Stable and smooth. But I replaced every single suspension and steering component when I put the lift on, so I couldn’t tell you how it’d ride if it was installed on a worn out Jeep
The brand is Fawkes Fabrication. I purchased them directly from Fawkes Fabrication's website. That was back in 2014 though, so I'm not sure if they're still around or not. (Edit: check out HK Off-road, they sell a shack mount kit.)
When you lift a vehicle it extends everything up moving it farther away so you have to buy extenders or relocation brackets in order to have everything bolt up properly
Nope, didn't need one. Between the lower control arms and the track-bar that came w/the lift kit, the "steering geometry" practically remained unchanged from stock.
Such a clean build. I wouldn’t change a thing. Subtle modifications. Handsome truck you have there. Well done.
Im just now seeing this 2023
You don't need anything else Bro, Your jeep is perfect
I just bought a 2004 WJ. Mine is silver.
Thanks! Silver is a great color for these WJs, I hope the one you just picked up treats you well. They're definitely good Jeeps

I'm more of an xj guy but man this wj is really nice I like how it stands out but doesn't scream OFF-ROAD!!!!!

Great looking rig.
That looks like the old restaurant parking lot down below Forked River going towards Waretown.
I love the way those wheels look, so beefy!
Thanks!
Let's see an update of how it looks now

Love how you say I ts not worth it for the long arm .. i feel you 100% mild build light to mild terrain legit build !!
Very nice! Would you mind giving me a ball run on the cost of all the upgrades? I have a Grand Cherokee too and want to upgrade it.
Dude! That's badass!!! I love the fog lights, was that a kit to do that or DIY? Awesome ride, hope you still have it!!!
Nice bro, i want 4" lift but theres nothing in my country, would like to get to your stage one day, good shit bro
I think this is a really nice looking rig! If you don't like it any more donate it to a single mother!
I love it! Great green! I have an 04 special edition.

Cool Jeep! I think it needs a stubby antenna.
Looks clean tough very nice .... I just bought a 2000 JGCL JW very low mileage ... Looking to upgrade I will be using your jeep and a guide
Thanks. Congrats on the new Jeep, enjoy it!
Absolute goals !

You say it has 15 inch wheels. Mine has 16s and if you put 15s its lawful close to the brake calipers. Just wondering. Love the jeep though. Love it.
Very nice
What are the wheel specs offset? Width? I was always told 15’s didn’t fit on a wj. I have a limited v8 I might have bigger brakes I don’t know.
Awesome jeep
what drive shaft kit did you order for the front?
Nice Jeep but where’s the winch?
Yes... Update cud be nice...? 💪 I will buy one.... 🙂
Does anyone know why New Jersey is called the ‘Garden State’?
It’s because Petrochemical Refinery State couldn’t fit on the license plate.... 😎
The truck looks solid! I’m looking to buy some 15 on 33s any problems fitting the 15 on your wj? Mines is a 04 as well
Thank you
Just out of curiosity are the front Springs taller than a rear springs to make it completely level? And if so how much?
Beautiful car

Nice Jeep.....How do you like the street lock wheels? did it take a lot of weight to balance? what kind of mileage do you get?
How much all this cost you thinking about doing something similar myself ?
Are those 15x8 or 15x10 rims? I'm having trouble finding bead locks 15x8 5.5 wheels. Thanks man..
Is there any minute details I should look at when shopping for these?

Need 4” lift kit for jeep gran Cherokee Laredo 2004. Can u tell me every thing I need please???
Getting ready to trick out a 2002. Looks awesome. I think I need to redo the entire suspension. What did you start with?
No engine mods?
Nice rig👊🏻👍🏻 how well is that zone lift kit holding up? Any noticable sag in the shocks ?
I had the lift for more than 3 years before selling the Jeep, never had any sagging or sitting uneven in that time
super video.j'adore les jantes peut tu me donner la marque de tes jantes.merci.
Nice Ride! Are those 5x4.5 or 5x5 lug pattern? Do you have spacers on there?
The standard WJ lug pattern is 5x5 127mm.
Any problems with death wobble at highway speeds?
i really like that ebay hitch. can you name it? so i can hold back on buying an aftermarket back bumper?
I was hoping for an actual parts list so I can go and buy the parts myself.
parts list now in description
Connor James I looked for it, I see it now on my phone. Couldn't see it on my PC with the new RUclips changes. Cheers and beautiful WJ
Do you need to run extended brake lines on a inch lift
Like!!! Super jeep!!!
Hi, do u use spacers in wheels??
Cool built! How much backspacing the them wheels have?
3.75” backspacing
wow looks good for 146k. Mine doesnt look even close to this condition but to be honest im pretty hard on it.
Did you have any issue fitting the 15inch wheels as far as clearing the brake calipers? Whats the offset and backspacing?

@@coejbee I have the same size wheel with 30/9.5/15 tires on my 4.7v8 and they fit. Little rub on the driver side front bumper but barely
Its the back spacing
New Jersey eh? Your jeep looks familiar, have you ever been to the pa jeep show in york pa?
I have not, but I sold the Jeep over a year ago so the new owner may have been?
Connor James
After this video i checked to see if u had others and noticed no wj. I was thinking you sold. Lol all good. But check out the pa jeep show.
15x8?
What's the backspace?
Thanks man!
NICE JEEP
Connor James
The 15x8s clear the stock calipers or did you change them?
I was thinking about running 15s but heard it may not clear the calipers.
I think I heard you say "15" wheels" ?? is that correct?
Correct

4.0 or 4.7?
what is the width of those wheels?
15x8 w/ 3.75 backspacing
Do your tires rub
Where did you get the bumper?
i have the same jeep . what drive shaft thing you talking about bc i really want lift mind
When you lift a vehicle it extends everything up moving it farther away so you have to buy extenders or relocation brackets in order to have everything bolt up properly
How big is the roof rack
Does it rub with those 31”?
no
Mpg?
Where do you off-road in NJ?
I live in the northern tip of the pine barrens, so I wheel all over central and southern Jersey.
What’s the grill?
Clean i like it just bought a wj looking to have that clean look yet aggressive as well
Did you put a 4 inch pitman arm drop ?
Nope, didn't need one. Between the lower control arms and the track-bar that came w/the lift kit, the "steering geometry" practically remained unchanged from stock.
какого размера шины?
Nice wj i have a red vapor color
what offset are those wheels
Those look way bigger than 31s...
