So Independent newspapers came out with their big guns to obliterate the rights of a poorly resourced opponent who they clearly blaggarded. Four days in the high court, whilst never getting to the source of the information, seems excessive.

The real question the Courts should be asking is of itself. Namely, why had it, the Court itself, failed to apply wisdom and Justice in their
    treatment of Mr. Burke?
It might not unreasonably be seen by reasonable people that its objections to releasing teacher Burke, constitute grounds for thinking that the courts oppose the idea of people being informed of and participating in the higher moral law process.
That raises the further question for the courts of why that might be the case.
Is the court's excuse that beloved mantra of the enemies of the people, that it is forced to act contrary to justice by the strict letter of bad law made up with that intent?

  • @andrewtongue7084

Another divisive ploy on (Enoch) Burke's behalf to machinate & offset the outstanding costs he already owes the Court. He (Burke) is already too precious & entitled. The fact that the Irish Independent has printed a retraction (& apology) bears out this nonsensical drivel....indicative too that the Burke family are running out of moneys.....

The Catholic Church runs 92% of all primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Ireland. It also maintains a significant share of public and private hospitals. Its grip on wider Irish society, which lasted for generations and helped shape a two-tier state, was ultimately only loosened by the growing backlash to the child abuse it facilitated and covered up.
