    Tony and Vince relationship seems like that of an abusive relationship. He keeps fucking Tony up and Tony keeps going back for more thinking it'll be different next time.🤔

    I worked at the Hersheypark Arena at this time, where Saba Simba debuted. Hours before the event, Tony was practicing stepping in the ring with the mask and everything on.

    Tony brought up good points on how Vince treats his talent. That's why he had major heat with the Ultimate Warrior because Jim was smart with his money and was prepared to live without wrestling and Vince hated him for it.

      The Saba Simba gimmick got over and Vince didn't like it. smh

    • @NightWarriorAlive
      @NightWarriorAlive 5 лет назад +2

      Yeah, lots of info on how WWE treats talent. Paul Orndorff could have altered his life for the better by doing the Rambo movie. Hogan does the Right Guard commercial, which gets shown during the Super Bowl. Roddy Piper and Terry Funk went and got their own movie deals. Tony uses his wrestling money to go to school, buy a home and invest in a gym.... CLICK.
      On the other hand, I get where Vince is coming from. If some of these wrestlers become mega-superstars then any one of them can "write their own ticket" and ask for all sorts of money- which would effect WWE's bottom line.

    • @D2Kprime
      @D2Kprime 5 лет назад +1

      Truth be told, that's why most guys hated the Warrior. From the beginning he treated the business as a job and not his passion, but he worked hard at his craft and putting on the best show for the fans. That's why Andre liked him. Brock Lesnar deals with the same crap today. He gets criticized relentlessly for only showing up a few times a year, however those same critics if they were offered the money that he is to do their jobs 10 nights a year they ain't gonna turn it down.

      I don't know if it happened or not, but I am surprised if there wasn't a storyline involving Saba Simba and Kamala, working as allies or adversaries. Racial stereotypes seems to be a theme in pro wrestling.

    The Muhammad Hassan thing was legit out of WWE's hands, unfortunately, so it's unfair to throw the blame on Vince. SmackDown was taped on Tuesday and finalized on Wednesday. The London attack happened on Thursday morning, and UPN made the decision that day to go ahead and air the show with a warning. Sponsors were PISSED, threatened to pull their adverts, and UPN pinned the blame on WWE, so WWE had no choice but to "kill" the character, which they did two weeks later at SummerSlam. And they didn't try to cut off Undertaker's head, that's ridiculous. They just stomped him to the ground and Hassan got a few shots in.

      I would wonder how a Jim Ross grill would have done. He does seem to know quite a bit of grilling, and would love to see a conversation about good ol' JR and George Foreman on that topic as well as sports in general. I think Flintstones vitamins might be a more appropriate thing for Hogan to endorse, or maybe some gym franchise, since he was talking say your prayers, take your vitamins and training. Since there is probably no big money endorsements for him in terms of religion, perhaps he could earn money endorsing vitamins and gyms, even though that may prove difficult in a pandemic and lockdowns being in effect.

Maybe WWWF/WWF/WWE PEDs for those who use them might be another endorsement, since Hogan took them, and maybe McMahon still does. There are plenty of athletes who still do, amateur and professional, so the market is there.
