      Hey, i wanna ask if you could possibly do a breakdown of the Constitution-III as a Class?
      I’m asking because I noticed some Troubling Flaws in the design i think need to be addressed, mainly the Lack of any weapons on her ventral Stardrive Section, there’s a Blindspot the Sixe of a Defiant-Class Ship there, and that’s not an exaggeration, as Size-Wise the Constitution-III is Similar in Size to Starfleet’s old Ambassador-Class of Starship, that’s not the Only Blindspot but is the most prevalent.
      Even a Nova-Class Ship, a Vessel Captain Janeway said was designed for Planetary Research is Better Armed than the Connie-III, and would probably definitely have an advantage over it in a fight.
      And you think that’s my only concern, don’t worry, it gets worse, that Blindspot is where her most Critical Systems are located, mainly her Antimatter Pod and Warp Core Egress points, It’s like the same guy that Designed the Death Star Also designed the Connie-III and the more i look at it, the more i feel like she’s not ready.
      I’ve pointed it out to others before, some have shared similar concerns, while others got mad at me, and others straight up laughed it off.

      @emperorofscelnar8443 Год назад +2

      Refitting the Enterprise D into a Ross Class and all you have to do is change one letter to a G that would have been much better, besides the only thing that is original of the Enterprise D was its Dorsal section, I bet the ventral section of the saucer had to be completely rebuilt because it collided with Viridian III and skimmed along the surface taking out alien trees along the way, so I imagine that the ventral section had to be completely rebuilt while the dorsal section of the saucer looked mostly intact, not to mention the original stardrive of the Enterprise D was turned into a radioactive metallic vapour cloud above Viridian III and was replaced by the USS Syracuse’s stardrive section. Besides completely rebuilding a ship only to put in a museum seems wasteful, it is a waste of materials to do so, if your planning on rebuilding a ship put it back into service first for like 10 or 20 years then put it in a museum. I think not only should they have rebuilt the saucer section of the Enterprise D but also refit it into a Ross Class, the same can be said about the stardrive section of the Syracuse which they should have not only renamed it the Enterprise but change one letter from a D to a G, that is what would have honoured Picard. Putting the Enterprise D back into service with just one letter change would have been much better.

    • @emperorofscelnar8443
      @emperorofscelnar8443 Год назад +2

      Plus having the Enterprise G with pieces of the old Enterprise D would have been a perfect homage to the original Enterprise D in a way and like I said all you have to do is change one letter and that’s it, so building a Ross Class using parts from the Enterprise D would have been better.

    In the final episode, I loved all of it, until the second I saw they renamed the Titan-A the Enterprise-G.
    This isn't some random ship like the Sao Paulo. This is a ship with a good enough history and lineage to maintain the name and registry. This rechristening was a massive spit in the face of Titan and my biggest qualm of season 3 of picard.

    Personally, I feel like the G was a big snub. Not just to the legacy of the Titan, which obviously done enough to earn a Legacy registry not even the Excelsior or Defiant had done, but to the Enterprise legacy itself. The Constitution III is kind of treated like an old worn out relic. Shaw stating the engines were 20 years old. The Enterprise F got barely got screen time to canonize the Odyssey class and was treated like it was a failure because it was immediately decommissioned after the incident it seemed like. After that, the name Enterprise bumped the Titan A, ticked up to G, and it's no longer the flagship that it had been since the original 1701.
    Sorry, but while I like the design, Enterprise should've stayed with the D being rebuild as the Galaxy X Dreadnaught under Captain or Admiral Riker's command. Would've been a nice tie in to All Good Things and left the Titan A to forge her own legacy under captain seven.

    Is this really the ship you would send on the most important flagship missions, up against Romulan Warbirds, etc etc? I have no clue why they'd name this ship Enterprise. The Titan had made a name for itself!

      They did have an entire year in which to install upgrades and new systems whilst they were repairing the damage it sustained throughout the season (would be curious to see if they repaired the cloaking device too and made that a permanent feature) so it might not be quite so much the weak, recycled ship she started off as.

    I greatly enjoyed this criticism. I legitimately believed that we would pan over the Titan towards another area of the space dock to see a brand new ship called the Enterprise G, which would’ve been fine by me (and personally I would’ve preferred that). I skipped both Seasons 1 & 2 of Picard and stopped watching Discovery after Season 2, I haven’t gone anywhere near Prodigy or Lower Decks, but I have seen Strange New Worlds. New Trek if anything divided the fanbase, but now it seems to be trying to mend that relationship. At first, I thought it was too little too late, but then Strange New Worlds came out, and I have my criticisms of the show, but none have to do with the writing, at least for the most part. Then I watched Picard Season 3, and I am hopeful of Star Treks' future. And isn’t that, Treks’ ultimate mission? Not to take away our fear of the future, but to reassure us that there is indeed hope? Because one day WE ALL will be in space, the final frontier, voyaging on starships not limited to the Enterprise, on continuing missions, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no one has gone before!

      I think the productions just had to adjust to all sorts of executive meddling and demands for “modernisation” (in narrative, not just sets), until the market response let the writers just tell more of the story they wanted to tell in the first place.
      Prodigy is excellent, and I actually think Disco S4 is pretty strong. It’s still got some pacing issues but far less-so, and doesn’t have anywhere near the level of distractedness as even S3, let alone the first two which were absolutely all over the place.

    The Titan being renamed Enterprise was a slap in the face of its accomplishments and namesake. It should’ve remained the Titan. And it’s kinda lame that the Enterprise F was already being early decommissioning for some kind of system wide issue.
    Overall Picard S3 was solid minus some nitpicks. But the way names are slapped on anything and vessels being tossed out before their time was lame.
    There was Sovereign Class ships running around left and right. So those obviously have some mettle between their legs. Which begs the question: why the shorter lifespans of Starfleet vessels anymore compared to past ones?

    80102 should have been retired along with the D after the events of Picard s3e10. For whatever reason, the producers decided to gloss over the F because they wanted their own Enterprise. So if they absolutely HAD to make a G, it should have been a Ross class 1701-G Flagship. Would have been a nice bonus to see a Yorktown or Vesta Class 80102-B, to be the explorer hero ship of ST: Legacy.

In a season that used its fanservice premise mostly well and to the benefit of the plot, making the Titan the new Enterprise was just gratuitous so they could use their clever line about names mattering. If they make Star Trek: Legacy (And really, I would actually like to see what they'd do with it if they did), it didn't need to be aboard an Enterprise. Really, we have our adventures of the Enterprise going already with Strange New Worlds. They should have just let the Titan be the Titan.

    How on earth did we come, from the ships looking more and more like there were at least some industrial artists/stylists involved in the development of the product (or maybe - the engineers themselves had not skipped those classes at the academy, and had some basic "taste" for the appearance...?) - to just "hehehe, let's re-make a constitution, just 150 years later"?
    I mean - nothing against the Connie, but it's just like re-starting the production line of a Ford Model T, or some Mercedes from the 30s - sure, as a vintage, low series curiousity - why not? I guess the Titan "Legacy" you speak of is relatively unknown, especially among casual fans, but having said that, that legacy can and will continue in the future, possibly with a new ship, but Titan earned the name Enterprise not because of her size, but because of her exploits, which though controversial, in many ways saved Starfleet. Not to mention she was apparently the only Starfleet vessel in the entire fleet that incorporated a working cloaking device.

      @@Arms26 Riker only took command for a brief period while Shaw was incapacitated. As soon as Shaw was able he resumed command.
      And a legacy is any registration that gets reused, as opposed to the name being reused with a new number. The best example is Riker’s Titan, which reused the name of the TOS era Titan, but had a new registration number. Yet Shaw’s Titan reused the number of Riker’s, and got the “A”. That’s a legacy. From what we’ve seen, Titan, Voyager and Enterprise are the only active legacies. We don’t even know if Excelsior was a legacy or just a reused name.
      We don’t yet know what Riker’s Titan did to earn a legacy, just that it did. And severing that is a grave disservice. And Titan wasn’t commissioned with a cloaking device. They purloined it from the Bounty at the museum. So that’s a complete non-point. As for “earning” the name Enterprise….that’s not a thing. Except for the A, each Enterprise was a new commission. The name isn’t bequeathed to existing ships based upon exploits. And again, had Titan not been an A in its own right, it wouldn’t be such a big deal. But they chose to honor the Enterprise’s legacy by stripping the existing Titan legacy. There’s no getting around that. It’s a big faux pas by naval tradition

      @@jamesd5842 most of what Titan achieved was under Riker or Sevens command. Legacy is in a name, not a registry number. The registry number compliments the Name.

      @@jamesd5842 I mean the same could be said for the Titan. No one knows what she ever did to deserve a legacy but she just has one. I'd disagree with that. A ship is deserving of a legacy through achievement, not through mere existence. Surely Excelsiors legacy is through her involvement in the battle of Khitomer and also being prototype of a class which is one of the longest serving and reliable Starfleet classes ever conceived.

    That ship is ugly. It doest't look like a 25 century vesel but more like a late 23 or early 24 century. And it's too small and to little majestic to be a Federation flagship.

    I utterly hated the G the F had a history and was a key part of STO. These writters have no respect for games but love destroying everything connected to it. STO was once all we had for post-nemesis content . This sucks.

    Lore Reloaded poor baby! Grow up they are making Constitution Class variants even into the 32nd century. And as for the name change, suck it up. Said and done it was the crew of the Enterprise that saved the Federation not the Titan. So the Federation and Starfleet chose the recognize that fact period.
