I have seen Garbage many times and watched tons of their shows online, this one was NOT the strongest. They are always my favorite but I think the sparser crowd and lower energy being all weren't fans of Garbage probably had a lot to do with it. Shirley is human and she feeds of the energy. So that would be normal for anyone. In this case, Shirley is the consummate pro and barely let it show and gave it a 100% go go go... love Garbage!
True that, I don't know if it was how the stage was set up. but it looked like they were playing to a 600 or less crowd, yet I loved the performances of Empty and Special. At the end of Empty, she does this gesture, that she just gave this amazing vocal performance, even while going down the stage, and walking up and down the barricade. Also, there was this balcony on one side of the stage, that you would think, is the best spot of the show, yet the people there looked so bored and entitled, what a waste!. Which garbage concert on youtube do you think is the best? I have been trying to find their best show

Thanks for posting this. Garbage is one of my favorite bands of all time, and I loved Manson's little speech about the music industry, and dumbing down of popular art, except her targeting tits and butts, thought that was a bit disingenuous, a not true low blow (and that point is the theme of one of the songs they played on their set) as she certainly has played that card with great sophistication in her great - and sexy - miniskirt style and stage presence in the past. (Speaking of style, was not a fan of her asymmetrical 70's throwback dress, She can definitely do better than that....)
Beachball rant reminds me of Aimee Mann describing herself as "music for folding blankets to" because outdoor concert goers in Portland, Oregon, more focused on how long it's going to take to get their cars out of the parking lot than just being there, enjoying the music. I'll be the fan in black, last one to leave, no beachball.

Sound mix was off. Started off OK, then they turned down Shirley's vocals around 42:40 for some reason. They fussed around with it after that but couldn't get it right. Maybe it was an equipment failure.
