I was blessed to see them live in 1999 in Vienna where I lived back then! They were my favorite band and it was absolutely fabulous🫠 A small, nearly familiar concert with about 300 - 500 people, and I stand about 10 meters away from her… I will never forget her first words and the flirty smile she had on her beautiful face, when she asked: „do you like the way I’m dressed today?“ She is gorgeous💖

I think they rocked the house down, one of their better performances as far as sound goes. Garbage is quite unique. I have a great amount of respect they all put their time and effort into the songwriting,.. Shirley got lucky meeting these songwriters as so did they , they took a chance and chance did them well as Shirley became their lead frontwoman, A great band and concert. thanks for posting this :)

Love it how she used to be "pissed off" and a little more "vengeful" in her ad-libs/outro's in the beginning of their career; however, nothing wrong at all being "happy" now. I've seen 'em 4 times and wish they'd come back close to me in Columbia, SC!!! Fantastic performance of Dumb and Push It (using the "quiet" chorus...original concept). Thanks for posting this...very well done!
with this live performance ,,one of their best in my opinion ,, i realised ,,that at that point in their career (1998) while other bands were breaking up due to infighting , drug overdoses ,contract disputes and an asortment of other record industry woes and ailments garbage kept right on trucking and releasing really good albums even with 2012s lp not your kind of people they are a reminder to myself and every fan of theirs that in order to stay in the music bizz you have to evolve adapt and keep digging to keep making music that in my opinion will be their lasting legacy + I think Butch Vig was a genious for starting his own band kind of like going one day in a studio with some massively famous band and going ,,man fuck this shit ,,,,,the rest is history my friends
Shirley singing "You can touch me if you want" or "Pour your misery down on me" is still giving me goosebumps after more than 20 years. I wish I had been there because this place is not very far from here (I live in Germany). But firstly, I was only 16 years old in 1998 (maybe a bit too young to travel to a festival on my own, the Loreley rock is about 200 kilometres away from my hometown) and actually, I started to fall in love with Garbage one or two years later.

Nothing better than a great rock band, with a strong beat and melody, and beautiful Shirley Manson fronting them. Damned great performance.

Steve on the keys with the old spooky movie thing was great. Duke's guitar worked right into that minor key. Man oh man that was good.
