MCGamerCZ: This is a pretty saucy trait on Octavia. Passive: Instant magazine reload on alt fire kill. 20% of the time. Oh, and on a headshot kill. Me, a Console Tenno: Just kick me in the shins and poke me in the eye why don't you?
@@TwoPenny_ It doesn't help that the alt fire is a charge and instant fire rather than charge and fire on release. Fire on release would make it so much better. Not to mention it being a mode switch because I had to bind the alt fire mechanic to a stick click.
@@Mhw-kq6fy my alt fire is also bonded to the stick click, I think that’s what the default setting is for me. I learn lowering my sensitivity and using my movement more for aiming helps as well
I def feel the fire rate thing sometimes , esp with smaller mag weapons. It feels like shit to spend more time reloading than I do shooting, even tho your dps is higher. Its why I am a big creeping bullseye enjoyer over scope mods at times. Makes some weapons just feel better to fire due to the lower fire rate
I think the best way to describe it, at least for me, is that fire rate is generally fine in most cases but depending on the gun the recoil can make it feel really awful. Trumna (Prime) is a good example, I love the gun, but if you have nothing to reduce the recoil, there is no reason to run fire rate mods on it. In the same regard, you also remove a lot of the "weight" and "feeling" the weapon has which definitely leans more towards subjectivity since some people do or dont care and rather or rather not opt into higher DPS. There is also a few other factors as well, such as ammo economy on some guns being too horrible to leverage fire rate, like the DPS increase is nice but you are more likely to waste ammo by continuing to fire at the end of killing an enemy. As well as it overall depending on what weapon it is since some weapons dont need fire rate and can naturally invest into bane mods, DOTs/Armor Strip, or both. I think fire rate is one of those things where using it heavily depends on the weapon and loadout, it's not an "end all, be all"... but like that can be said for any mod at that point.
I like to run Primary Plated Rounds for the arcane on high magazine high fire rate weapons. It works very well. I use it on my Gotva Prime with blast damage and Nautilus Prime with Cordon to group the enemies and watch it shred!
I have a riven for the Twin Vipers, with +86% fire rate, so I stacked up fire rate for the lols and I can barely touch the trigger and I have to reload 😂
Primary frostbite can proc from other sources than the gun it is on. So a companion with cold damage and shivering contagion can proc it. That makes it easier to build and keep the 40 stacks.
I definitely agree with some weapons feeling way better with lower fire rate. I also just appreciate that you experiment with builds and love weapons for the feel of the them and their uniqueness that they offer, versus many other youtubers doing just meta things and "BIG DAMAGE RED CRITS" stuff. YOU make the game and other weapons feel comfy and fun with your amazing videos. Thank you!
Tip: you can stack Primary Frostbite through your companion. So if you run a cold weapon on your companion with Shivering Contagion, you will have even less ramp up with Frost Bite
I love how one of the major importance in whatever loadout you display is "comfort". I sadly find my comfort when I see my enemies die in the matter of a nano second.
Fire rate absolutely matters for how a weapon feels to me. The problem is that more bullets down range means more damage in a shorter time, so it's very much a balancing act. I love running Primed Shred for that reason. 55% fire rate is *_usually_* low enough to where it still feels good to use (compared to something like Vile Acceleration's 90%, for example), while still bumping the DPS a bit, and the Punch Through is nice on _most_ things as well. The main problems with it are mod Capacity, and weapons that explode on hit losing their functionality. Not all on-hit explosives do though. Trumna for example, the bullet will pierce through, but the first hit will trigger the explosion (although it loses it's visuals, as the bullet will *_look_* like it explodes on the wall behind, but the damage is dealt around the first enemy hit)
I absolutely love these weapon in the circuit, and get the decree that increases your fire rate as you make damage the ramp up feels like a mini gun it feels so cool.
4:02 - 4:18 I actively go for lower fire rates. There's ammo economy and also, the sound. Some guns just sound better when they go, brrr rrr rrr rrr rrrt, rather then, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt PS: This is why I wish you could opt out of Wisp's Haste Mote like you can with Volt's Speed, or Limbo's Banish (roll backwards while aiming to do a flip). Alas I just keep getting called an old man instead and have to keep putting up with all the kids making me go on rollercoasters to fast for my brain. Well anyhow. Now that I have certainly been exiled from every Ork warband ever; yes, there is such a thing as enough dakka.
Try akjagara. By the way, for moa boys we have more options instead of helstrum novadays. For example tazikor is chaining beam novadays and i love cold with shivering contagion on that stuf
Comfy weapons are always the best weapons, love when a weapon feels good to use, usually from good sound sfx and weapon handling! Thanks for the helpful video MC!
I never got over Tenoras spool up time, but more fire rate could fix it I guess.. as far as bullet hoses go I like kuva hind is my top pick usually... Or crit build Phenmor with incarnon turned on, that is just pure and unfiltered joy for me.
If you want to feel this weapon like an actual minigun put punch through and reduce the accuracy with heavy calliber mod, it will tear everything in its way and not just shooting them one by one
I agree with you: fire rate do matter, but personally I almost never mod for it unless it is an *extreme* case (like the dual toxocyst). Even my opticor I would rather have creeping bullseye than firerate...but I almost never use it xD
combine this weapon with gauss and some lucky rolls in the circuit and you can get a free A-10 Warthog! you really get that BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTT feeling
some weapons definitely feel worse with more fire rate, been faffing about with the acceltra prime lately and it bugs me to no end when I get a wisp in the mission lol, especially when they minmax their fire rate because you run out of ammo in about half a second. Tenora prime is great though, I should use it more often.
Yeah, the way the game is now - with rampant nuking warframes and weapons - it's nice to see basic ballistics getting a bit of love. I'm rather fond of the Gotva myself.
Could you try Pyrana prime with arcane pistoleer or energized munition? The ghost Pyrana buff + infinite megazine is really good. And Pyrana prime just looks and feels really good
Hey man can you try out the stradavar weapon again. i made this build using serration, vital sense, point strike, bladed rounds, speed trigger, vigilante fervor, and galvanized chamber if you can can you possibly show me some better builds for the weapon!?
High fire rate is something i hate, i prefer a bit lower dps but a much better feeling of slower fire rate and a better controlled weapon. The fast BRRRRR only feels good on mesa :P
@Arimayne fair point after the semi auto changes burston is more full auto like now But just as a base without triggering incarnon at all soma with the state bump is better than tennora

Lol I felt that I play on console too. Not being able to head shot as easy makes it so much harder to use setups on guns that requires headshots

the closest thing we have to a minigun, imo. Just wish it had like five more barrels

Arch guns?
guys none of those have a spinning barrel

I like slowing the fire rate for the feel of some weapons. The Trumna and the Quellor feel better with slow, chunky fire rates.

"Some things need lower fire rate"
Yeaaah, dont look at my 48 RPM dual cestra. 120 to 0 ammo in 3 seconds on continuous trigger hold.
My Afuris made it to 54 fire rate. Whole clip gone in 1.3 seconds. Lol
Can you revisit vitrica? Last vid was 4 years ago and I think you can have some fun with new mods and arcanes
"can MOAs use ramparts" 😂
I love you!
trumna needs to have a medium firerate, if it burns through the magazine then it feels like it doesn't hit as hard lmao
A personal favorite weapon
Any chance you can take a look at the primary gaze kitgun? The beam is absolutely gorgeous and I REALLY want it to work
I'd love to see your take on the alternox, I feel like it could be funny with some multiplicative CO shenanigans

Me yesterday: man the tenora seems fun.... Wonder if i should buy it-
This video the next day confirming my purchase
I hope you mean you're buying the prime
I understand the fire rate issue all too well. Something like the Arca Plasmor needs to be a slow, chonky weapon that hits like a freight train.
Did you ever do an updated build on the Supra Vandal? I got this thing in the circuit yesterday and it felt like a blast from the past.

Baza prime next?
I second this. Baza used to be my favorite weapon early game but I can't get Baza Prime to be very good in high level content.

Can we see a Blast Exergis?
I get that feeling of fire rate not feeling “right” on some weapons hope de makes a chunky slow high damage lmg esque primary in 1999
