- As the world sees the largest pro-Palestine protests on record, the interest in owning a keffiyeh is skyrocketing. Hirbawi is the last known factory making keffiyehs in Palestine. So how is that changing Hirbawi and the meaning behind the keffiyeh?

Been wearing Keffiyeh daily my whole life, as a nod of support for the Palestinian people. Have four from the Hirbawi factory that I wear proudly since a few years back. I hope to be able to visit the factory at some point at a free Palestine.
Born in Haifa to a Palestinian mother and a Greek father I placed my order from the Hirbawi Factory for the Black and White and Haifa Keffiyeh they are on back order. I hope everyone stays safe. Justice for Palestinians is world wide!
I know this comment is 5 months late but I want to give you a piece of advise; keep at lest 2 in good conditions, preferably new, because pretty soon, the originals made in Hebron by the hand of the Palestinians, will be worth a lot of money, mark my words. That's how the western mentality works, they cherish symbols don't matter from what culture, as long it have meaning. The Palestinian Scarf have become very popular among the young people of the Western societies as a symbol of rebellion against the politicians for what their are doing relating to Palestine/Israel matter. The stores can't have enough for the demand, so the Chinese are making good money with their imitation and probably not even paying for the rights to use the design. the Anti Defamation League of America, run by an Americam J, wants the scarf to be considered as a terrorist symbol equated with the swastika. The backlash already came, the scarf is more popular and in June 1, the Catholic Cardinal of Jerusalem, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, inaugurated a new Caritas Center in the Palestinian village Taybeh, wearing the Scarf on his shoulders as a protective cloak, and the image went around in the news. Now you know, pass it on to others. You can see the video on Christian Media Center RUclips site.

@dustinwilliams6371 yep, ordered early Nov, arrived early Jan, though had email saying the batch was shipped to German warehouse a little before that, so some folk would have gotten theirs around the 7 week mark,they had a lot to get through, add in Christmas hols/ post. Maybe 6 weeks is possible

Is the money Hirbawi makes, going to them and Palestine or Israel, that's the big question. Because the factory is in Hebron not in Gaza or the West Bank. So who gets the money and what is it used for. If it is used to fight Israel then i get it, but if it finances israel AGAINST THE WILL OF THE hIRBAWI FACTORY OWNERS, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE FORCED INTO IT BY THE COLONIZERS, then i have a huge problem with it.

Why are you explaining the problems between Palestinians and Israelis as as decades of Israel’s “genocidal intent.“ I think that is so simplistic. Fear and a long history of persecution and displacement from the lands in which Jews lived and were citizens has made it necessary for Jews to feel desperate about having their own land. The land had belonged to the Britsh who gave it to the UN which in 1948 allocated part of it to the Jews and part to the palestinians (most of whom were actually Jordanians living in Palestine.)
The jews agreed to partician the landJews and arabs living in Palestine but the surrounding Arab states the Palestinians to reject this two state solution leave because they did not want to recognize Israel’s right to exist. The problem is that the UN and the British left land to the Jews without caring to consider the consequences to both Arabs and Jews. Why wasn’t the UN blamed?
