I'm seeing a great QB but more importantly what looks like a fantastic O-line. Really hope USC can provide that for him, if so he will be an absolute stud!
People saying his oline made him great but even when he was pressured he made good decisions and had the accuracy to through into toght windows. Obviously he'll develop even further throughout his college and NFL career. Glad SC named him the starter 1 week before week 1
Where are the weaknesses? This guy airs it out like Daryle Lamonica, runs like Cam Newton and he doesn't throw a lot of picks! USC is going to be scary good in a few years.
gvalley07 he sort of reminds me of Johnny Manziel. Just has a better arm, better pocket awareness and doesn’t rely too much on his legs. I think we’ll be watching him on sundays in a few years
I'm an Ohio State fan and don't have an active interest in USC Football good or bad except when they play my Buckeyes - Manziel's skill set was tailor-made for the college game where he could elude guys and make plays with his legs outside the pocket, however the fundamental flaws were exposed when he made it to the pro's against bigger and more athletic pass rushers that he couldn't throw over or run around. I don't believe that Daniels will be as productive statistically as Manziel was but that's probably a good thing since he plays more within the confines of what's expected from a team leader at QB. Daniels does a much better job of going through his progressions and identifying the open man from within the pocket than Manziel ever did. What that means IMO is that although he may not ever win the Heisman like Manziel did, Daniels has an equally strong chance of leading a championship-contending team in college and projects better at the pro level than Manziel did as long as he stays free of injury and focuses on the knowledge that goes into attacking defenses from within the pocket. Daniels reminds me a lot more of Baker Mayfield or Garoppolo than he does of Manziel - good mechanics, accurate thrower, solid progressions, he won't blow you away with his legs but he's athletic enough to occasionally pick up a first down when the defense over-pursues.
be very cautious. this is a highlight clip. they wont have clips of him fumbling or throwing picks in this video since as I said this is a highlights reel
UGA fan here..I think UGA now with JT Daniels behind what should be another great UGA oline..with his great arm, very good accuracy and can stretch defenses and extend plays..has the ability to pick uo a first down with his legs also so he has that mobility..Although he's gonna have to keep the ball up most of the time in SEC,UGA finally, has a TRUE QB threat in the game. 😎😎💯💯
Mark my words, JT Daniels will be better than Sam Darnold. Call me crazy or say whatever you want. Seeing both play in HS, the difference is huge. JT will bring a Championship back to LA. You’ll see
Daniels looks great, however I don't think that I'm hating by saying that anybody could look good playing while being protected by his offensive line. In terms of size and pass-blocking ability, that offensive line is one of the best that I've ever seen at the high school level. It'll be interesting to see how his footwork holds up at the next level when he has to move around within the pocket in order to buy time for his receivers.
Even in this HIGHLIGHT video, you can see him moving in and around the pocket. He makes some off-platform throws and some nice throws in the face of pressure. It wasn't like he was able to just sit back there and not get touched. Although in college it he will have to consistently show that he can play in a messy pocket. It'll happen much more often than it did at Mater Dei.
If only he had the protection that his team provided in highschool. USC needs a stronger front line and an accurate center. Then he would unleash his fury!
I just had to RUclips this kid to make sure I wasn't tripping when I said no way in hell Stetson Bennett or Dwan Mathis was better than him. This video confirmed it...I just don't get what the hell is going on in practice for Kirby not to play him
Go Dawgs!!!
Those some good receivers also
Everybody at mater dei is really good
I genuinely thought this kid was going to be a generational talent, still the prettiest red zone fade I’ve ever seen from a QB at any level
USC Baby

Georgia has him on the bench

That field vision at 0:20 is ridiculous bro. Let's fkin go Mountaineers!
This young man has potential. I would like to see him react to defensive pressure. This O Line is amazing
As a buckeye, I've always like USC, and this kid is going to be really damn good. You can already see it.
Just named QB1 for USC
Mabey your boys should draft him

Clarissa Pome’e agreed this kid is a more poised Johnny manziel with more accuracy and a bigger arm

Ramkumar Vedagiri He only threw 3 picks!
Look at 2:48 and tell me the grass behind the goal post doesn't look like a madden mobile graphic so weird
Brock Vandergriff might wanna reconsider going to UGA. He’s gonna be sitting behind this dude for a minute.
Fight On!

Has to beat out D'wan Mathis first. And be cleared, medically, to play.
@@brentpatterson7249 Of course. I want Mathis to start anyways. He's come a long way since last year.
#1 overall pick 2021

Hope he shows that kind of mobility in year 2 at UGA.

damn
Jared Goff 2.0
Too bad USC's offense DOESN'T Throw down the Field like MD's Offense.
SportZfan4L1fe,
I'm pretty sure they'll adapt the offensive scheme around this young man's talents when his turn is up. Don't be a hater.
