bro your smart asf, i literally just now cut off the rubber grip edges off the brake and came across your video and found out you can remove the break rubber and wanted to just throw it all out, but i stuck with my plan of supergluing the brake on😭
If your school allows it, I'd highly suggest you take Co-op for mechanics. It's how I first started out and got my first experience in the field. It's a very labourous trade that definitely isn't fancy by any means. You really have to have a passion for learning how things (automobiles in particular) work and are taken apart/put back together. If you think being a mechanic means working on cool cars and tackling engine swaps, etc. then you're definitely going to need a reality check haha. I'm not saying this is what you're assuming by any means, it's just the best way to get an idea of what being a daily tech is like, is to get out there somehow and get some true experience. If you have that passion and drive to learn how cars work and break, then being a tech can be a very rewarding career. Take what I say with a grain of salt though, as this is just based on my limited experience in the field as well. I'm constantly in a limbo myself of whether or not I want to give my 100% to pursue the trade. It's great that you're asking around though, and I wish you the best of luck.

My foot just slipped on the petal after being a rainy day and here I am looking up a video 😭
I want to become a mechanic after high school, how would you describe it? Do you enjoy it?
