    Fenom, you got it. Roy passed before the making this video. Hence the rocking chair with just a guitar on it and his photo in the background. I love both of the albums these superstars made, and still have both of the CDs. Handle Me With Care is a great song and you can see Roy in all his glory on that one. Peace out, gentlemen!

    The Traveling WIlbury's are an amazing amount of talent! They were wonderful and well loved.

  • @loudom3217

    A little background on the Wilbury's name. The name started when George Harrison was making his "Cloud Nine" album which was co-produced by Jeff Lynn. During the recording there were some playing mistakes made and the "joke" by Jeff Lynn was "Don't worry we'll bury it" (in the mix). The we'll bury it was the inspiration for George Harrison when naming the band The Traveling Wilbury's a play on we'll bury it. One other thing of note, in the video you hear Roy Orbison singing but during his vocal section you only see his guitar on a rocking chair, that's because Roy Orbison had died of a heart attack just before the album was released and this video was made.

    Squirrel! Hey Corey, it just hit me right now, funnily enough in your prerecorded intro thing: you have this real teacher energy! I love it. I can just see you teaching reading to like, idk, mid-elementary kids. Am I trippin'?
    I myself was all of 10 or 11 years old when this song came out and I quite liked it, even though the only voice I fully recognized was Tom Petty at the time. Then I learned of the late, great Roy Orbison not long *after* this, IIRC, because "You Got It" came in hot and I loved that one. Ahh, memories.

    Jeff Lynne was also the band's producer. George Harrison was listed as co-producer, but that was more or less just a title for the ex-Beatle, Jeff did all the heavy lifting in the studio, pulling many all-nighters producing the tracks, and Wow'ing his bandmates with what he'd done in the wee hours when they came in the next day.

    Voltron indeed!! 🥹
    I remember when 'Handle With Care' came out as the lead single, caught it at work, a TV station in Toronto, couldn't believe it! All five were in that video, George Harrison also led off that song. Learned and performed it. They all led feature numbers. Roy's 'You Got It' is well worth your time. Anything you can find of how this happened, came together, is also rewarding viewing.

    What an amazing group of talented artists. Only Jeff and Bob left. If you haven't gone down the Roy Orbison rabbit hole, you definitely need to check him out. Look for Running Scared from the Black and White concert. Talk about talent...the artists playing behind him are top level. Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, and singing background is KD Land, Bonnie Raitt, JD Souther...

  • @beckygrant2258
    @beckygrant2258 День назад

    George Harrison started in this song. And Roy Orbison, who was heavily involved in this album, passed away suddenly before they made this music video. So, you notice they had a picture of him during the part where he was singing lead. But they did have his guitar ricking in the rocking chair. Did you notice that? Bob Dylan only sang backup vocals on this song. The song, Handle with Care…which was a hit….is the first song on this album…which won a Grammy. And this group put this album out before anyone knew who the Traveling Wilbury’s were! They all took on pseudo-names with their last names, on the album, all being Wilbury. All songwriters, all great musicians, each in their own right. The ultimate super-group!

    It’s a bit moving watching this now that almost all of them have died. I think Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan are the only surviving members of the group. They were all popular music legends to one degree or another but we are all mortal beings, fallible and with limited time on the planet. The image of them “traveling” on the train can be seen as how we all travel through time, from our beginnings to our endings, and singing that, “It’s all right,” is a reassurance that even though our lives are finite, that’s ok too and as it should be. It reinforces that we should try to be decent human beings and kind to each other while we are here because we will not always be and we can change nothing once we are gone.
