You are your own master.
Thanks master shi! All the best from lima, peru! All the best!
24:30 I love this part. I once read about this from the manga Vagabond and a monk in the manga by the name Takuan Soho said these things in chapter 257:
"We suffer the most in this world when we lack a connection to the heavens. If there is a higher purpose in life you just have to let it be. You just have to accept it for what it is."
"Then the doors opened up. All these doors that were shut suddenly opened wide... This was true freedom... And it was completely different from my previous notion of what that was..."
"All our individual paths... They've been preordained by the heavens. And its for that very reason that we are free. As long as we release ourselves, our very essence, up to the heavens."
My explanation: Everyone has their own destiny given to them by the heavens. No matter how much you try to fight against this destiny you will only suffer. Because it is as if you are trying to swim against the current of a river. Only when you surrender yourself to the heavens and stop fighting against the current is when you finally let life run through you. Only then will you be free and at peace.
very nicely said
Very much in the vein of LAO TZU and his writings in a book titled The Tao Of Power. The long and short of what you've said summarized as: WALKING THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE.
Thank you Shifu Yi....you consistently widen my lense.⚡️✨️🪷
thanks a lot to you all, it was great a talk to listen.🙏
Thank you, Master. Listening to you is becoming more and more interesting. Some of the things you said I've alredy heard from you. But I begin to look at many of these things from a different angle, from a different point of view, and find different meanings in them. Thank you. Sinctrely.
3:20 What is the meaning of life
5:28 How do you overcome fear
12:38 How to stop overthinking
34:48 How to overcome ego
42:47 What happens when we die
53:40 Why help others
59:24 How do we find peace
Personal --> 57:40 Witnessing people's growth. Yep, count me there too Master. So grateful... 🙏🤗🤗🤗 💖✨
Great interview thank you Master Shi Heng Yi and to the Mulligan Brothers
My take on the ego is this:
It is our self image in a social setting, and it is a narrow view of who we are that usually does not take "unconscious" aspects into account.
I usually picture identifying solely with the ego as letting my right foot control my entire life. It is a very unbalanced experience.
At the same time, you do not want to chop off your right foot to correct the unbalance.
You want to zoom out and realize that your ego is one aspect of you, just like a cloud in the sky that is your whole being.
This Is Amazing, Thanks Guys And Master Shi Heng Yi 🌸💕🌸
Over 3 years ago I saw your Ted Talk. From that day forward I started to practice and invest time into Shaolin. I can never thank you enough. It changed my life. Peace. 1:02:08

This should have way more views. Life changing advice 🔥
Sifu Shi Heng Yi 🙏 Buddha Bless You
Thank you for sharing these great words. I love the insights about night and day being the same time, and the realisation that despite 50 different reasons for jealousy, the feeling remains the same. Anger is anger, joy is joy. Good to reflect on. Thanks again. I pray that I and others are guided toward the truth, whatever belief we have.
I need to hear this ❤
Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you, as always, for the wisdom and the inspiration :)
I especially liked Master's personal example of that fleeting moment of profound happiness and fulfillment, while receiving pure joy without any expectations, on the top of the mountain in Tailand... I vividly imagined all the details of his journey there, and the stunning view he saw when he got there - it must have been AMAZING!
I think it's was such a wonderful, picturesque examplification of his teachings :)
(But I won't mention any details of this story here, to encourage other viewers to see the whole interview till the end - it's really WORTH IT!)
I've started to practise with the Shaolin Online videos AGAIN (after a longer break) and I already feel better, after just TWO days... It will never cease to amaze me how fast the positive change comes whenever I do those exercises: right movement, right breathing, right motivation and mindset!
The energy is REAL, it instantly pours into me and radiates out of me, whenever I LET IT FLOW through me!
The difference betweeen how I feel when I do practise regularly and when I don't is so huge that it feels nearly infnite... So even though "life gets in the way" (or maybe it's just me, and my excuses, and my laziness) and something always makes me stop doing those exercises after a while - I always come back to them again.
I hope that this time I will be more consistent and practise much longer... or better yet - that I'll never stop. I also finally want to master the Buddhist Qi Gong course that I bought from Shaolin Online site some time ago - it's so beautiful and graceful, both the form itself and the mantra accompanying it...
I just feel so GRATEFUL that I discovered some wonderful buddhist masters to learn from, in the seemingly chaotic wilderness of the Internet, together with Master Shi Heng Yi and his generous teachings - here on RUclips at first, an then on the external sties too...
And I'm grateful to the Mulligan Brothers (and sisters!) for those interviews too - they are the icing on the cake to enrich my understanding of the physical exercises.
So THANK YOU! :)
Inspiring
Thanks ❤️
He has a lot of wisdom
r.a.i.n is great, thx 🙏🦉
This is great about identification and lack it, and form and formlessness...thanks 🦉🙏
I think women don't have to learn pain tolerance... 🙂

That intro was so deep .
ขอบคุณมากค่ะ
Nonidentification refers to the concept that all phenomenon we perceive by the aggregate of our senses is impermanent and “empty” of substance. This is summarized by the Heart Sutra.
🙏❤️
In this moment, right now, I feel I have filled up my cup with wisdom some more, from the generosity of Master Shi Heng Yi.
I feel happiness in the chance that he himself shall see my comment, and smile to himself, knowing that what is being transmitted is indeed being received. Thank you for helping me to grow. 🙏🏻

What happens when we die refer to Autobiography of a yogi by Parahamsa Yogananda 44:22 it gives a good description. Much love ❤to all.
💝🙏
You got to ask the master,is there sign in the monastery that the one is coming soon?
Our culture is spoiled and wants instant answers so having one answer is not it. It’s an individual thing. One size doesn’t fit all. 😊
I suggest Eckhart Tolle words about the Ego.

Objects in motion stay in motion in the same direction and speed until acted upon by an unbalanced force; the meaning of life is to manipulate matter.
Motion is already form of balance especially air and oxitio oxygen from what we cook minerals that help to have rain medicine for bungang araw suncrest
It can manipulate when you cook poison food so could vin ulat
Much bass. Surround makes him muffled

Okay so basically "There is no point, but try tricking yourself into thinking there is one"
Because our personal reality is created by our personality which is why it’s called personality = personal reality.
Our personality is created by how/what we think
How/what we think creates how we feel
How what we feel creates how we act and behave
Therefore if we start thinking about what our own meaning for life is or what kind of life we want for ourselves to ourselves personally then we’ll start to feel that then we’ll start to behave in a way that we know our meaning or we already have that life we want.
The mind believes everything it’s told, it doesn’t know what’s true or false so if you think negatively you start to feel negative then act negatively same goes with thinking positive.
@@djflipgthank you for this!!! Hope youre doing well! 👊🏾
