I use 3x ts3000 in 4x8 and my last grow i only have 2x ts3000 new modell and it give me on 10 plants 1850gram.
So its gives 2++gram per watt.
I love them, think they are badass.
In the factory we use 1000watt 301b led draws 890watt from the wall but dont get the same high ppfd like these small very very efficient lights. . .
    Highly recommended. . .

Its a good light, Mars is on the right track. The issue isn't the ppfd, its the heat. They run hot. And for that much money you can get an HLG or a RapidLED. Good light but people need to know there are much better options. Thank you for the review though, I own an sp250 and its a very good light. The Mean Well drivers are rated at 240W each. Meaning 480W total. With a specified efficiency of 93% they should pull about 520W (www.meanwell.com/Upload/PDF/ELG-240/ELG-240-SPEC.PDF).
Has anyone figured out where did these 629W from the wall came from?
I have a hard time believing the MeanWell drivers have been used beyond their specs. However this would leave the measuring unit showing 629W to be faulty. Alternatively this may be an indication knock-off MeanWell divers.
    Anyway, I'm just curious.

I dont even think they have ELG in that region. So 2 ELG 240 will set you back 105-110eu, while a HLG 480-48 is 150-160eu. Pretty much same efficiency. Here in the 220-230v region the ELG 240-48 even reaches 94% efficiency once it reaches 60% load.

It pulls 469 from the wall and if you go 100% prepare for the result - 600.

WHO RUNS THEIR LIGHT AT FULL BRIGHTNESS?

    • @MysticGrower
      @MysticGrower 3 года назад

I do since I don't use dimmable drivers... My DIY LED light pulls 1400w from the wall and is still working great 4 years later.

The light has good par for the money but they put off so much heat. I still prefer fans on my lights. I prefer California light works. I owned the tsl2000 it got to hot

How hot? I grow in my cold room of a basement and I deal with Canadian winter. I run a heater in the room because with the current 2 mars 480w's plus buddy's China light (lol) my tent is only about 22°c, (71°-72°F) without a heater. And I get down to 15°c with the lights off Soni need heat

@@shawnalexander1305 you'll be ok, if it gets that hot, relocate the drivers outside of the tent. It's the reason why Mars made 10ft power cords

Reflective tents increase par readings by around 15% I believe. It would be awesome if you did the same video but with a black piece of paper on the floor of the tent instead. It’d be a lot more accurate and helpful as it mimics how a plants canopy would receive the light.

There still is no videos on factory height with dimmer at very specific ranges (hint hint) for example: what is the PPFD output at 18’’ with the dimmer set on 20% pulling only 100W from the wall, why are these questions not being asked? And if so why is there absolutely ZERO input or knowledge on the case being explained? Maybe I need to use this light for an entire grow cycle but I don’t want to pull 450W at 36’’ for seedlings for a month it’s just wasted energy in my eyes but I have a dimmer knob with no clear idea of wtf it’s real value is at particular height other then 100%, feel free to nerd out on this and get back to me 🙏😇🥳

You should add the pars at different % of strength.

Yo what kind of light should I buy then. My mars 480w are working far better than the "1000w" watt light my buddy gave me so that's why I've been looking into mars for an upgrade, is there a better light, at or around $600 I should go with?

These are hot spot lights at 18 in this light was almost 1,300 par at center that's way to much you'll need co2 but the light par drops so fast towards the edges it's veg numbers that's why companies are making the bar lights the spread is even over the whole canopy.i have a 300 watt bar fixture at 18 inches I'm at 850 to 900 over the canopy, you should aim for a even light spread over the canopy there's nothing wrong with these lights but after a few years of doing it you'll start to notice that you can do better the more you educate yourself about what you're doing.oh yeah the light was on sale for 200 bucks
