Anthony Padilla and Mykie, Sykkuno (very known meeting one because Corpse also made a tik-tok with him), Dave (Boyinaband), Emma Langevin, to name what we know.
The illness isn't just the GERD that causes him pain, he also has fibromyalgia which went undiagnosed for a long time because doctors refused to believe him when he would bring it up because they said he was too young to have it. It causes him a lot of pain and neurological problems which make his everyday life very difficult. He has talked about how it is hard for him to stream for long periods of time because of the pain it causes him in his arms and hands, the brightness of the screen is hard on his eyes so he wears eye patches when he's streaming... he has a lot of physical issues which he has been very open about and discussed on top of all of the mental issues.
He's not quite diagnosed with fibromyalgia as the docs still don't actually know what's happening to him but fibro is the closest thing they've come to thus far :)
Fibromyalgia is hard to diagnose because it's kinda then end of the line when they cannot do anymore tests because all is done and still they cannot find any source for the pain so they must atleast at that point assume that it's psychosomatic. Your brain is misfiring that there is pain to alert you about something being wrong in some part when it shouldn't and your nervous system manifests it as pain. It can just happen or be stress related for example. It's really hard one for doctors because there is a lot of people who come and say they have pain to get prescription meds and because then doctors have to book for really expensive tests and nothing is showing (well I live in Finland so you might have to fight a bit to get into some tests if something isn't obviously shown to be wrong because goverment pays most of it so doctors cannot just willynilly but everyone who wants into every test to them but in USA if you or your health insurance pays it I wouldn't think it's hard to get tested since the hospital just gets money for it).
But anyway fibro kinda can also kinda mean multiple things in a sense that they might have/cannot just find the source of the cause even tho there might be one but it's just something tricky or something we cannot see yet with what we got in todays medical indrusty.
But just saying to itterate that it's not easy one for the doctors so I wouldn't put blame on them too much even tho there is some without any sense of anything (one time I could have very easily have a blood cloth and amputated arm because these idiot doctors left this tight bandage under the cast and it was there foe two months). In fibros case doctors have to make the call pretty much on beleaving or not the patient to helo and to prescripe pain meds (they cannot do much else really) which are already the third biggest killer in the states so. Even tho again.. they get more money from refills and getting hooked but if you have any beleave in hippocratic oath then you won't just hand them out like candy.
My voice is not as deep as his but mine is quite deep from a 13 year old i very positive i have gerd
@@tranqdelerion8536 Gerd doesn't necessarily make your voice deep but in the right conditions it does. Plenty of people have a deep voice and nothing is wrong. Unless you have other issues with your throat I wouldn't worry about it.

A lot of people do want a face reveal and bug him about it, but tbh those aren’t his core fans. We don’t want him to reveal his face or his name if it won’t make him happier or comfortable. He could keep all that info to himself forever and as a fan I wouldn’t mind at all.

Yeah the come up is real considering he dropped out of school at 12 and has pretty much been estranged from his family since 15 (?) if I remember correctly. Doesn't leave his house, has said he hates his face so much to the point that he's cut it up before. The fact that he still pushes forward and continues to put himself out there even a little.
Well, it's easy to put yourself out there when you don't show your face. Not saying he doesn't struggle, but uploading onto YT isn't a difficult thing. Regardless.

I just wanna say I like all the pausing you do because you actually look at each part and appreciate it all. I hate when people talk over the song while it's playing. It always makes me feel like they're not really listening.

Too true; pausing to analyze the lyrics is actually a great tool to help you understand. It takes your brain a few seconds to fully translate sound into recognizable words, and you see this a lot with Knox's breakdowns: he'll pause, address the last line, and then remember a bar from just before that one. Knox also catches a lot of stuff that most people miss, like a double meaning, and that's what makes all the stop-and-go real fun.

I'm trying to say I have agoraphobia, but I get really anxious in public. I actually end up lying (yea I'm a crappy person) because I don't want to feel embarrassed, or I just shut up and don't interact with people. It's led me to not having many friends, or even questioning if the friends I have are even real. I can feel when people talk this kinda thing.

I thought the person was going to start crying the more he repeated the line . His music is just so In your face telling you I’m not okay I have problems and I’m not okay and am not going to magically be okay or pretend I’m fine just because you want me to be ..especially in cabin fever I would definitely like to hear what Knox thinks of his other songs.

Honestly the deep dive you did on this one is impressive. It puts so much more perspective into what may have been going through Corpse’ mind while making the song.
This is my favorite song of all time. I love his more intense songs, but his lofi stuff is my absolute favorite. He’s so real with his lyrics and he doesn’t sugar coat anything, which I really appreciate.

I just realized that the reverbed part in the breakdown where Corpse says "this is the last one you get," he means those long "oooooohs" reverbing in the breakdown, the ones with the higher pitch. That's him doing them. He does one more, like he says, and coughs afterward lol. I was never sure what that was about before.
It always blows my mind that I can have listened to a song like this or any of Blackpink's 100 times + and still learn so much from watching Knox's reactions. Great job. As always.

I actually really felt this song, during quarantine, I developed Tourettes and finally got diagnosed with anxiety, which was probably for the best because after a few times going to my neurologist, she discussed with me and my mom that if I had gone on with my life without treating my anxiety I would’ve become agoraphobic, and I wasn’t to shocked about it.
(I’m sorry that was long, I know most of you don’t care but I thought it was a good recognition to the song)

This is one of the most intelligent and empathetic reactions and analyses I've ever watched. You brought your own emotions to a song that exposes such emotions and really let it sit in the room with you as you listened, letting it speak to you rather than over it. I’m glad people are showing Corpse some love, a lot of people were really harsh about him in Daywalker, but the man has talent. I can’t wait to see what you end up reacting to by him next! Corpse refers to himself as chronically ill not just because of his GERD, but because he suffers from other chronic health issues as including Fibromyalgia and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome; this causes compression of spaces between the collar bone and thoracic ribs causing severe numbness in the affected area; he’s said (interview with Anthony Padilla) the worst he’s ever been he had to crawl to his door to get groceries outside because he was in so much pain, but he couldn’t even eat cereal because both his arms went completely dead numb, which sometimes still happens, causing him to leave streams early. He doesn’t talk a as bout it much because he doesn’t want to ‘make a big deal about it’.
He’s glad physical disabilities get more awareness because of him but doesn’t really want people feeling sorry for him and stuff. He also has anxiety and depression, and some sort of chronic eye condition (possibly photophobia? I don’t think he’s ever named it) where lights, especially reading off computers or staring at bright lights will make one of his eyes super inflamed and blurry to the point where he has to wear an eyepatch over one eye in order to reduce eye strain.
So basically eye issues, chronic pain, widespread body numbness, gastric/throat issues, insomnia and mental health stuff. This is what he’s referring to when he says illness controls his life, why he’s ‘living on borrowed time’, and why he sees his RUclips career as something that will likely end against his desires one day when he just physically can’t do it anymore (he had to stop his horror narration because reading off a screen & trying to edit hours of footage solo was too strenuous). He dropped out of school when he was 12 because of it, iirc, and avoids leaving home unless he absolutely has to, even before COVID.
