    This is the first time I have used this power washer. I’m sure I made some mistakes. Let me know in the comments, and checkout some of my other lawn transformation videos.

    Hey Josh,
    You asked for comments, so here goes: you have the right idea for pressure washing concrete, but to help yourself out, get a turbo nozzle for cutting in edges and for brick siding/walls, it has many users to be used with a pressure washer, but it's not made to be used on any wood products, it'll tear up the wood fiber, also, if you plan on using a bleaching agent, spray water very liberally on grass and plants near where you're using the bleach unless you plan on paying to replace the affected area, as for applying bleach, no more than 25 percent bleach to water (one gallon of bleach to four gallons of water) and wear a respirator when applying bleach, if you get a client who does not want bleach on their driveway, wash the driveway going in one direction then at a 90 degree angle and rinse off

    Tip - shorter wand!😜 Real tip - use a length of Velcro to hold the trigger down. Saves on hand muscle ache and allows control of the wand in more comfortable ways.

    😄It is very ingenious to eliminate the water with the blower, I will use this idea at the next high pressure cleaning, thank you, I will save time🤗 Hello from France.

    Nice power washing job Josh. I live in central Texas on a lake. My house is built of a white stone called Austin stone. It was leased for a decade before I bought it. Never maintained & could benefit from a power washing. Homes in my area exploded in value during the pandemic. Lucky I bought it before.🍀

    Josh, so pleased you got a pressure washer. That can be both a filler and in creating good accents on places you do. Good job remembering you can use your blower to help move water. (On wood, you use low pressure, so it won't fuzz.) Don't know how much the concrete will improve if you use a bucket and broom approach to applying diluted pool chlorine.

    North side and shaded concrete (everything really) is usually the worst for the molds and things that grow and spread. East and West can develop the crud, but to way less of a degree. Looks like you did the job just fine, good choice to test your equipment at home first, and maybe some different tips for the wand or a quick connection type deal so you can rinse off and swap attachments would make life easier 👽

    Pump sprayer, gallon of clorox bleach, fill with water, spray on that concrete, let it dry. Works wonders on brightening. Also check out Muratic acid for those rusty stains from iron mix in the concrete. That washer will work wonders with the bleach on that picket fence. Good job

      Thank you, that’s what I’m hoping. Was planning on just doing some videos with it, but apparently there’s some pretty decent side money in power washing jobs.

      @@joshslawnservice I saw a video a few minutes ago of some young man cleaning peoples roofs and gutters. Evidently he’s making some decent money doing it. That wouldn’t be the job for me.. I’m afraid of heights.

  • @shanew7361

    The key to a clean wash is the rinse and making sure there isn't any dirty water leftover to dry back on the concrete. Like yourself, I have low areas on my sidewalks due to maple tree roots. Gotta love stupid ass townships and builders. I also utilize my backpack blower to remove the dirty water. What psi and gpm is your power washer? That surface cleaner is a monster, man. lol, I have the 15-inch ryobi surface cleaner, lol

    • @joshslawnservice
      @joshslawnservice  Год назад +2

      It’s 4000 psi, 4gpm. Figured I’d buy a decent one and try to make a little money with it too, besides videos. I think the casters may make them easier to move.

    • @PLS.54
      @PLS.54 Год назад

      @Shane W, If you contact code reporting for county owned roads/sidewalks and submit location/address area, they’ll usually send out a county agent to verify the problem and report it back. I did this for a street adjacent to my neighborhood where tree roots had completely heaved the street up into a mountainous terrain of asphalt. It had been like that for years. 2 weeks later the street was repaired!
