The one time Reev gets heated it’s with arsenal and his bias does show but when it’s anything else he’s definitely level headed the most out of the entire group

Also Jude has been playing as an 8 all his life at Dortmund and Madders is also playing a deep role at Spurs at times.

@@Sesh__king_ look man, both are too good to be left out of starting XI. i wont pretend I watch every England game to know how Southgate wants to play, but Maddison is having as good a season as Jude I’d say, and has been as important to Spurs as Jude has been to Madrid. Both have that special something, but Madders has that final pass, set piece treath and so much more. Neither should be left out i feel, they are different types who can complement each other id say.

I dont find personally just because colwil has played 6-8 games at lb where as he’s played the rest of his playing career at cb while Ben white has played for the past 2 years 38+ games as a rightback

Usually, I see the logic behind Tom's shouts that everybody else calls "outrageous." However, here I don't see it. Also, Reev is right, Colwil and Stones would fall into the Ben White argument, but both were in Tom's team.
Nah they wouldn’t. Ben white has played 70+ games at right back for Arsenal. Colwill has played maybe 6 at left back for Chelsea and played in a 3 at Brighton. Stones plays inverted for city last two seasons but is listed as a CB and in big games he stays at CB

Tom is absolutely spot on. Ben white has played RB for 2 years ffs. Levi Colwill has played roughly 5 games as an emergency LB for Chelsea because of injuries.
Colwill is Chelsea’s long term plan at the left sided centre half position. Possibly a future captain in the same exact position as John Terry played and wearing his number.
Also, the best choice for the RB spot is entirely down to who England are playing against. Because if it’s any team besides France, Argentina or Brazil, then Reece James should be playing there. If it’s against any of those 3 sides, then Southgate will obviously play SUPER defensively and therefore Kyle Walker should start, as he’s the best defensive fullback in the history of the premier league. It’s just that he only offers about 25% of what James offers going forward, and against any other teams, James is still brilliant defensively and brilliant in attack. There’s one flaw to speak about with Reece James, and it’s nothing on the pitch. It’s just his injury history. Aside from that, he’s the best all round fullback in world football when fit.
If it’s a choice of Theo’s mental decision to put Dunk in at CB, then obviously anyone who knows ball would have Colwill or Tomori over Lewis Fucking Dunk.
But, Tom leaving out Maddison for Eze is pretty crazy.

id much rather we start eze then bring on maddison if needed at half time, we need a balanced team not a mess of a team that we have had for the last couple decades, Tom is completely correct
I lowkey agree with most of what Tom his saying he just needs to chill pretending they're horror shouts, like i probably wouldn't have Dunc or Ben White at centre half but its not at all criminal to put them there, we're got a ridiculous team and huge amounts of talent in every position.
Stones played 16 of 32 games in CB 22/23 and Bellingham played 3 of 132 games in Dortmund as a attacking mittfielder and he is a CDM from the start of his footballyears

Theo is right about Dunk. I’m not even a Brighton fan but Dunk is quality. Offers a greater ariel threat than any other centre half, does the basics very well and puts his body on the line. Also, he has the experience behind him.
Louis had a point with the grealish shout, last euros we were all begging for him to make cameos and when he did he played well but he only got 10-15 mins. Why not give him a run of games considering that LW spot is clearly still up in the air for Southgate

People don’t rate Pickford, especially right now bc of where Everton have been the last couple seasons in the prem. Pickford has saved them from relegation numerous times and is their best player. I agree he definitely deserves to be englands #1

Tom thinks that real-life players behave like they do on Fifa when you move them to an unfamiliar position and they turn into 56 rated. As long as a player is comfortable performing the role that's expected of them the actual position on the pitch barely even matters. That's why some players can adjust to different positions very quickly if they already have the skills to fit their new role.
I agree with Tom. Trippier can play LB quite well, but for a best England 11… you don’t want a left back that every time the ball get played forward he has to turn and pass it back because he cannot cross with his left foot.
No crossing in modern football. Keep the ball on the ground and short pass your way into the box.
