To any non-english speaker it is VERY obvious that Klopp did not mean «not in great shape» comments in a fatshaming way, hence why the danish reporter had no problem clearing the air afterwards.
The direct translation of the word shape to a language like german (or Norwegian, which I speak and is a language with many simularities to german) gives you a word that’s used to describe someones state of mind.
