The song itself ain't a 90s song. It was first recorded in March, 1958 by Eddie Cochran. A lot of Jackson's earlier hits were covers of much older songs.

@@cauzie8281 a lot of the music I listen to today is because I heard my mom and dad listen to it first 🙂 I even had a record and an 8-track player in addition to my CD player and cassettes. When MP3's became a thing, I used them and always will but I kept all my old music players. Sometimes I like to listen to things the exact way I first heard them 🙂

Actually the original isn't too far from country to begin with. It was a rockabilly song. Most of the guitar picking comes straight from country. This is a great version of the song.
