Great review. Love how you discussed your angle as a user and why explaining that angle is important. Massively appreciated the aside about different groups (gender, race, etc.) and how certain products have to meaningfully address those differences for an accessible product! It's something important to talk about.
As far as lying in bed, you can also point a projector at the ceiling. It works surprisingly well with little pocket projectors if you have a white ceiling without too much texture.
that is what I do,. I got this inexpensive projector from Aliexpress and I have it pointing to my bedroom ceiling. If you connect it to external speakers, it works pretty well.
THANK YOU! I bought an 8bitdo Ultimate controller after many RUclips recommendations, and thought it felt very cheap and tacky, especially the triggers like you highlighted. I thought I was just being too particular, so it's nice to hear someone else say the same! Nice review, keep it up Marisa :)
It was interesting to hear your different viewpoints on several topics with respect to this device. As a business man traveling often, this display option is very liberating, especially not having to look down at the monitor all the time.
Thank you for watching! I can see how they'd be so useful for you, that's super awesome - I hope eventually they can get lighter and more adjustable :D
I like your break down and points made. One that was missed I saw on another review was people that have long commutes seem to really like having a larger display on the train or during flights
The fit and comfort thing reminded me a lot of why I love the little mini handhelds that have been coming out. People are reviewing them as one handed devices but as a girl with small hands they just feel like... what gameboys are supposed to feel like for me lmao
Yesss. I wish more reviewers were objective about fit. I try to phrase it more like "if you have large hands / if you have small hands" Also when folks say the Gameboy line is too small it's extra funny to me since they were literally made for children 💀
What a great review, just found your channel and will be staying! :). Really appreciated the talk at the end about accessibility. I've got a bad back and really can't sit up very easily and be comfortable. I've got a set of these on order and honestly i think they are going to help alot with being able to play the switch or even use my computer. Appreciate the effort you took to make the video! :)
First honest review. I have a pair coming Friday and I’m concerned mostly about the comfort. The first gen ones were hard on the ears. Bummed to hear that this is still a problem. Glad they have a good refund policy ☹️
@@yourcoolunclemarisa lol no big head so both sides get dinged with this problem 😄. If it works well otherwise I’m looking at some little modifications comfort wise to try to help. I did the same thing with my quest three and it worked out great.

"The biggest advantage of the Pro XR glasses over the Viture One is light output. Viture says it raised the perceived brightness from 500 nits to 1,000 nits, which puts the glasses in line with the levels required to adequately view lots of high dynamic range (HDR) content. For comparison, the Rokid Max glasses go up to just 600 nits." Does this mean the Pro XR is recognised as a HDR capable display when connected to a windows PC?
Hey! I tried to test this for you but my computer doesn't have a display port so I couldn't connect it. So I tried the dock. And it still was not detected by my PC. Hopefully someone else can answer your question TT_TT
Great review! I know it's a bit personal, but would you mind mentioning your prescription? It would give an idea to what range of prescriptions are covered by the glasses. If not that's totally okay too
Appreciate the review, picked out some good details other videos missed. They don't seem to list actual dimensions anywhere, I'd be interested to know how wide they are (or how wide your head is? lol). I thought they looked too narrow on most reviewers, but like you said, a lot of one type of person, and I've got a pretty small head too.
From inner joint to joint on the arms, it's 13cm. From edge to edge of the glasses, it's about 14.5cm. And between the ends of the arms is 12cm. I hope that helps!
I loved your points about companies needing to do better for wearable tech. One size fits all just doesn't work. I have really shitty vision (Congenital cataract, nystagmus and glaucoma. I'm not legally blind, but my vision is bad enough to prevent me from being able to drive) and no company provide lenses that fit my prescriptions. I have to wear glasses inside of VR headsets and I'd be unable to wear this. My lenses are very thick, expensive and limit the kind of frames I can feasibly buy. I had a Valve Index, but I had to wear glasses inside of it, which not only was it slightly uncomfortable, but it put stress on the bridge of the glasses and ultimately lead to them breaking. Although inclusivity in fit isn't limited to the tech industry, sadly. Buying footwear (socks or shoes) as a trans woman with large feet (US size would be a woman's 13 or a man's 11.5, if the chart I'm looking at is right) is also very frustrating. I wish companies wouldn't base their fits on "statistical averages" but would also consider people who fall outside of the common ranges.
Thank you for sharing - I've seen custom lens places that don't even have options for astigmatism so I can see how nuts it would be for anything beyond. You're also absolutely correct - we have a long way to go with inclusivity as a WHOLE but that's such a bigger topic. Funny enough - my mom always had trouble finding shoes for my brother because even men's shoes didn't go large enough @_@ Hoping for a better future - and thank you for being here!
@@yourcoolunclemarisa I’ve been thinking of buying glasses like these for personal use so I can edit videos or watch TV away from home, for example while camping, and you’ve given me a couple of things to think about. For clarity’s sake I also found your experiences of size and weight of this product really enlightening.
I think this is the best review of tech I've seen in a long time. Really really appreciate you talking a lot about the whole 'there isn't just one body size' thing. I feel like a majority of people who review tech stuff or really stuff in general are the 'average straight white male' that never have issues with sizing of things. I got small hands and smallish head, so I imagine I would have similar issues. My only gripe is that I realized you talked about sizing issues, but then don't give a frame of reference xD Would've been great (albeit /kinda/ weird i suppose) to know the circumference of your head, so that we know what 'small head' means.
As someone who is cursed to wear glasses I always liked the idea of "spacial displays" growing up but it just seems so impractical. And that's coming from someone who has a folding phone
Glad Viture sent you these because otherwise I would have never found your channel (RUclips's algos suck!) and it looks like your content fits my interests! I was actually pretty interested in these (small space enjoyer, here) because they're basically pocketable large tech (if that makes sense?). Like I don't have the room to have a really large TV like this (or the cash), but these let me do that and in any room I want to be in. But your criticisms are totally valid and not ones I thought about. Definitely gives me a lot to think about before dropping that kind of cash... I swear I'm not a techbro or at least not the bad kind? :)
That's a totally valid want! They do sell them on Amazon, so you can always return them without hassle if they don't fit well. Also thanks so much for being here, I'm glad you found me too

@@Valkron11 Oh yay, I'm glad they're a good fit! I hadn't thought about the brightness but I can absolutely see it being way too bright in a dark environment 🥲
