I’m green with envy seeing that beautiful import copy of Purple Passages. Such a fantastic album and has much sentimental value to me. I got my first copy when I was a teenager. Many happy memories!

I was blessed enough to see Hawkwind on the Levitation tour, with Ginger Baker. The only time i saw him play live. What a drummer!

Music by the fireside is worth grabbing just for the cover. Entertaining video. I always discover new music through your videos.

Powerage, my favourite AC/DC album! I bought a copy of it at my local record store. The owner told me it was the second copy he sold that day!
I've been on a huge thrash metal binge, as well as wading deeper into black and death metal. Ive completly fallen in love with Entombed's Left Hand Path, just fantastic death metal that isnt just noise.
Im curious Phil, have you heard Slayer's first album, Show No Mercy? Its VERY Influenced by the NWOBHM, and you can hear it. It sounds like Judas Priest from hell!

You're a busy man! Love all of your episodes, and I'm very much looking forward to your discussion on Never Say Die! I know it's a much derided album, but I've always loved it. Thank you, sir!

Thanks for the preview of what’s coming and what you’re listening to now. Yes please to the Delaney and Bonnie with EC box set, which is legendary. Good to see AC/DC, the Ox, and Zeppelin coming soon. Who needs sleep. Keep ‘em coming thanks.

Don't know how you produce so much quality output here on YT! I definitely never run out of videos to watch where you're concerned
I especially enjoy your deluxe CD/LP overviews...these are usually items I can't afford, but your recommendations always lead me to the music material on Spotify or elsewhere
also like that you cover Euro-Brit-centric artists...material that was not so popular here in the US...educational!
    😎✅

Love your comment on buying an album because of the cover. I did exactly that with Back On The Hunt by The Hunt. Looked like far eastern prog, in fact Canadian blues rock with excellent covers. Got me into The Hunt and I have all 3 albums - an eclectic band! Great work, mate👏

Hi Phil, I've just bought the new Richard Thompson album Ship to Shore. It is fantastic, firstly I just bought the CD which I love so much that I ended up getting the vinyl as well. I usually don't get both but apart from the great music the cover & artwork look fantastic! Keep on spinning 😊

Nice one Phil - someone finally mentions Steve Steven’s of Billy Idol fame - he is a great guitarist- the 12inch version of Flesh for Fantasy has some of my favourite guitar work ever - what a riff - can be found on Vital Idol🎉

@@NowSpinningMagazine ooo didn’t know he did a solo album ! Nice one Phil- I did try and model my hair on Billy Idol in the 80’s before falling for the curse of the mullet 😛

Look forward to the Delaney and Bonnie box set review. It covers four sizzling shows of rock n' soul from their '69 tour of the UK. It can be seen as the period that took Clapton in a new direction away from the bombast of Cream. Believe Dave Mason is mixed up here somewhere as well. Delaney and Bonnie always played with great musicians and it must have felt like a lifesaver for Clapton not being forced into the limelight. Didn't think you could get this box set anymore but glad you got a copy. Enjoy!

Phew!. Here's a treasure from the 70's I never knew about...heard a track by American band Looking Glass on Radio Caroline. Streamed both albums and if you like The Doobie Brothers, CSNY, America, Bread etc check them out!. Streamed the first album and waited for the quality to dip but it didn't, 2nd album the same. A great find, why weren't they bigger news?. They also have a tenuous link to Starz!

Where do you find the time to listen to all of that?? Yow! So much music! Will you be reviewing the Hiroshi Yoshimura album? I really love Japanese ambient and avant jazz music from the 70s and 80s, some of it is really out there and wild to listen to! Is that an original 1986 pressing? I was curious, so I pulled it up on Discogs and saw someone is asking for a whopping $600 for it (coughPASScough), but ALITA recently re-pressed it also on green vinyl for a much more reasonable $25 USD, since they do a lot of Japanese re-presses. (Of course it's out of print again on their website--doh! 😅) I have some of their city pop/disco compilations. That looks like a beautiful copy! ❤‍🔥🕉🕊

Quite a fine mix Phil... wondering if you have heard of these three very obscure but unique albums: 1) Three Man Army "A Third of a Lifetime" 2) Pavlov's Dog "Pampered Menial" 3) Bang "Mother/Bow to the King" cheers, Pat
