- Weir Farm National Historic Site is located in Ridgefield and Wilton, Connecticut. It commemorates the life and work of American impressionist painter J. Alden Weir and other artists who stayed at the site or lived there (wikipedia).
My daughter and I visited this site in the Spring of 2018.

The only national unit dedicated to painting. That is interesting! The grounds beautiful and peaceful so I could see how you would be able to pump out tons of paintings from there. I liked the Buffalo paintings those we're cool.
After watching the video footage I took (back in May - lol!) it did remind me how peaceful that place way. It was a fun day!

Do you remember how long that walk to the lake is? I'm looking to stop by during a road trip and I know the fam wont be up for a walk longer than 15-20 minutes each way.
