Very informative plus the GDR test. You just earned a new subscriber 👌🏾
Did you not notice the rear view camera continually opening and closing as you slow down below 20 mph then speed up again? According to MB this is down to it having to go through a calibration sequence every time the car is started and it can’t be switched off. It is quite noisy and very annoying and MB won’t do anything about it. Other new MB models coming out also have this noisy camera calibration built in.
Headlines in 2025: Mercedes to discontinue the A-class in the South African Market due to plummeting sales. Unjustifiably overpriced.
Not only in south Africa but globally Mercedes wants to go up market in terms of luxury and the A-class does not cut the bill since most prefer suv
I wanna get a second hand one having roughly 60 to 80K miles there, do you think it's worthy of my money with a budget of R400K?
Nice review, but it also comes a bit to personal favor right? If you drive a car daily and like the brand and 'status' that comes with it, I don't find it strange that some people tend to spend some extra.
If you just need a car that brings you from A to B, then you can score a Dacia for example.
Prices of these A200 car (new) with options are around 103.5k rand. in Europe, I bought mine from june 23 with 9.000km for 69k rand and I can pick it up in two weeks, I am really excited :)
There’s a costumer out there for every car 👍🏼
I find this review very honest! The plus and minus... I think I will spend some time in this channel...
Thank you! I try to keep it real. Thanks for watching
The a250 wich had a 2Litre turbo? Has it been discontinued?😢
The 2023 FL A class 220 & 250 are discontinued, the 2ltrs are now AMG only
😱 good review, horrendously expensive..
Thank you! But yes, quite pricey
2020 Pre-owned BMW 340i I'd rather have for that price range
That’s a great alternative
Best in class hands down.
I'd argue that the Mazda 3 is best in class.
Mercedes is fleecing the brand loyal folk 😂😂😂
You can get a top of the range Hyundai Tuscan for the same money
Lmao, comparing a hyundai to a mercedes? Comeon now
@@pwj86772 my aunt has the Hyundai and my cousin has the CLA, and I can confirm to you that my aunt is not missing out on anything and there are no creaks in her car my friend
Looks good but very expensive
It’s a great looking car! The price changes everything though
A self respecting man would never pay that much for a front wheel drive platform.
Also, is there any chance that the 1.3L engine is taken from Renault/Nissan?
It's the same engine that you find in the latest Renault Captur and Nissan Qashqai..
@@brutersaaronmasindi6703 last time I checked Nissan wasn't doing too well in terms of reliability.
So merc is charging this much fo a Nissan engine.
@@tungstencarbide7255 The 3 of them developed the engine together. It’s all made in their own factories tho
9/10ltr per 100kms? Thata terrible my goodness
My 2023 A180 gets 50mpg on average or around 5.6L/100km.
800k 😅
Golf 8 GTI v A200 😆 🤣 😂 😹 price
It’s a great car can’t see what your moaning about
Thanks for the comment... overall It's a great, premium hatch. It's just expensive and underpowered for the price.
Ridiculously priced, doesn't make any financial sense. Great video though.
