I built one of those! After completing it, I dusted it with black spray paint to add burn/soot effects to make it look like it had been in battle. Cool video, man. Thanks for uploading.
That is sort of how I was thinking of painting up this one, I saw a picture from Wonderfest a few years ago of the Moebius kit built up, and that's what inspired me to finally buy this one :)
The decals for the wings lay over greeblies which prevent them from properly adhering to the surface. It's best to just use the decals as guides for masking and painting your own stripes.
I think they added them in just so that people wouldn't complain that they weren't there. I can't really imagine trying to lay those decals down and getting them to work properly.
Alright it's not detailed as the Moebius kit, BUT this kit looks dam good when it's done and supper simple for lighting.
I think that this kit is going to look so great when it's completed. I really want to build this one, but I'm waiting for a new scriber tool as I'd really like to carve out those panel lines :)
@johngrubb1590 Yes, this Cylon Raider was the first kit I ever lit. It's mostly just a top and bottom clamshell put together and you're done.
Can anyone tell me where a person would go to buy LED lights that fit this model? I am a new modeler and have no reference. A link would be great! Thanks all!
