- She thinks I still care
Just because I ask a friend about her
Just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I rang her number by mistake today
She thinks I still care
Just because I haunt the same old places
Where the mem'ry of her lingers ev'rywhere
Just because I'm not the happy guy I used to be
She thinks I still care
But if she's happy thinkin' I still need her
Then let that silly notion bring her cheer
But how could she ever be so foolish
Oh where would she get such an idea
Just because I ask a friend about her
And just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I saw her then went all to pieces
She thinks I still care
She thinks I still care Видеоклипы
I'm 37 , I remember when I was 5-6 yrs old, we only had two channels and I used to wake up 4o'clock early mornings and watch the 50 classic country advertisement of all the old singers...
Only one George Jones❤❤❤❤😢😢😢
A great song by George Jones. RIP George. Always remember, never forget.
Just because I haunt the same old places, what a singer ,what a man with such voice, gone but not forgotten. R.I.P. Sir.
George Jones - legend. That's all.
I love you George.
This song gives me a different perspective towards men!
R.I.P.George,a lasting memory you leave in Music.thank you.
Country as it should have remained............
George Jones is way before my time, and I dont listen to allot of country. But I could listen to this anytime. He really has a beautiful voice. Nobody sounds like him.
Just a few minutes ago, I found out Mr. Jones passed away today. This is one of my favorite songs from George Jones, which is why it's the first song I listened to when I came on RUclips. George Jones, Born - September 12, 1931, Died April 26, 2013 aged 81 years. Goodbye Mr. Jones.
best country singer ever
The greatest singer that ever lived!!!!!!!!
The best pure country singer ever. George pulled up beside me in his silver mercedes one day on Old Hickory Blvd. He was on the phone but still waived at me and gave me the universal symbol for cool. Great human.
Seen him in concert at the metro center in Halifax Nova Scotia great times seems like yesterday love ya possum
For pure country nobody can touch him
I have been a fan of George Jones for more than 50 years, and I consider him the greatest male vocalist in country music history by a wide margin (among females, my choice is Reba McEntire). His voice had a tremendous range, and when he sangs the lyrics of a song -- heartbreaking or hilarious -- you believed that he had lived them. Like all of the greatest singers in any musical genre, Mr. Jones' voice is unique and instantly recognizable within a word or two of the song. His ranking as best of the best is further strengthened by his duets with Melba Montgomery, Patty Loveless, Barbara Mandrell and others, but especially by the series of duets with Tammy Wynette. I realize that choosing "best" anything or "favorite" anything is a subjective decision, and I respect the right of anyone to disagree with my opinions. But, of all the great duet pairs in country music (Porter and Dolly, Kenny and Dottie, Loretta and Conway, David and Shelley, etc), I think George and Tammy were the greatest. The marriage may not have worked, but the music simply could not have been better. Mr. Jones had an interesting and tumultuous life, and his chart success and popularity extended for more than a half century -- an unprecedented achievement. That is the best news of all for us, because he left behind an enormous record catalog, filled with classic performances that will be enjoyed forever.
I like many types of music, and I enjoy artists whose fame spreads over all of my 65 years of life. But, the music of George Jones is played as often in my home as that of any other artist from across the musical spectrum, If too much time passes without hearing a George Jones tune, I head to the CD collection or my You Tube Favorites for the pure pleasure of "She Thinks I Still Care,":"A Picture of Me Without You," "Near You" (with Ms. Wynette), "The Door," "You Don't Seem To Miss Me (with Patty Loveless), "Golden Ring" (with Ms. Wynette), "If Drinking Don't Kill Me (Her Memory Will)," and especially "He Stopped Loving Her Today."
Mr. Jones and Barbara Mandrell sang "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool," but, in fact, Mr. Jones was country before it was cool, when it was cool -- he helped make it cool -- and if it ever becomes not cool, he will still be country, and he will represent the best that country music ever offered its public. May he rest in peace!
George is definitely one of the best country singers ever. His voice has the soulfulness of a steel guitar. Reba, not so much.
WOW! You must be a fan! I love reading intelligent comments bc I learn something. I'm 43, but feel & live like I'm 27, & I was a "dork" for liking this "gentle, balladeer" music. I love hard rock & pop from 20+ years ago, but I think being like the only child with country-listening parents opened my ears & soul to melodies & lyrics that bleed emotion or heartache. "He Stopped Loving Her Today" made me tear up at 7 years old!
@@bingbonk I agree. I hate being unkind; but it seems when musicians turn to Hollywood & television, it changes their spirit to perform like they used to.

Nothing tops He stopped loving her today. But man I love this song as well.
In some strange way everyone of George's songs is a favorite.
You must be joking. There’s a hundred better than this
Everyone has their favourite........
@@JohnSmith-iv2bs Hmm, it's almost as if musical taste is subjective or something!
thanks for posting. This song still rings true today! :)
George Jones -- the legend in Country Music !! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
What is the message he wanted to say in these words?
Steve I would also say he was the greatest singer
this song has been recorded by at least 100 different singers, but none can touch this! even elvis, he also recorded it.
I agree , even though I really like Elvis' cover of this. If George Jones had an original hit with the song no artist will even come close. Take for example Grand tour... He stopped loving her today.
He is also the greatest country singer ever
Its true i still care
