I think being in the military does something to us 😂 I think we get used to just figuring out a solution no matter what gets thrown at us. I took my last apartment sight unseen too. Found the Roadtrek and didn't even test drive it either😂
I am the wife of my retired Navy husband. The experience of just making whatever situation work. Is something I wouldn't have now. If he hadn't been in the military. It definitely helps me now and in the future.
I loved the videos of your travel trailer! And I feel like for your lifestyle having the trailer kind of makes more sense🤔 But I definitely love my Roadtrek!
Hi Ann! Super cool Van, I see why you love it, it’s very versatile. Are you currently in Seattle? It looked pretty sunny. I’ve always heard it is always overcast (my favorite weather btw) over there? Hope your AC happens soon. 😉🧊🇺🇸🇲🇽
Thank you so much! No, I'm not in Seattle right now, I'm in Georgia... but Washington State was my favorite place to RV! And yes, it was usually overcast while I was there (but not too much, I went in the summer time).
Thanks for the tour of you house on wheels. Very sound reasoning for choosing the camper van that you did, and I remember when you went home the last time that you missed driving it. Loved seeing Henry as a puppy!
Agree! I've learned so much about RVs just from being in the Roadtrek... but there's so much more to learn! Especially as I'll be doing more upgrades in future.
@@PriorityFocused I had two months in Queretaro and then a week to see a friend in Monterrey and got to Puerto Morelos Friday. I am much more comfortable here already
It cracks me up how you still use US military terms/slang and (maybe) don’t even realize it. Sure, “boots on ground” (from other videos) is pretty obvious, but I’m not sure you meant “side of the house” literally. 😅
I don’t think it’s a military term😉 I’m just referring to my rv as a house and I kind of break up my “house” in three portions: The cab/driving side, the main/kitchen area, and the bedroom side of the house.
My husband is retired Navy. He has dementia you think the $900. He gets in military pension covers it all. No it doesn't he gets SSDI I work part time as Nanny. The fact you think that single mother. Who made it possible for you to have the freedom to type something. So insulting while her and her two kids live in van. Have it made is tone deaf.
@@angelaschaefer5883 I wish nothing but the best for you and your hubby. My beef is with the wild mind boggling fraud in Disability & Hacks sucking the system dry. It takes $ away from people that really need more help. You see it. You see the people climbing out of $ expensive $ trucks & cars parked in Handicap Spots. You can bet your bottom dollar they are also scamming $$$ for Disability benefits. Laughing at all of us. We got to work Monday morning. They go to the beach.
@SteveninTune The problem is most "retired" military wiggle their way into yet another Govt job becoming a double dipper. Then Soc Sec kicks in down the road & you're a triple dipping lifelong govt Hack. Government was NEVER supposed to be a Jobs Program. And certainly not an early retirement plan.
I’m headed to Vegas to pick up one I found. 1999 Roadtrek Popular 190 dodge
I can’t wait to hit the road
I am looking at 1997 Roadtrek 170

Great minds think alike! And I agree... military life definitely does something to us!

So jealous! I've always wanted a roadtrek! I've have a travel trailer and it's a pain to put in storage when I'm visiting people.

LOVED SEEING YOUR OLD PICS AND VIDEOS ❤
❤️ Alex was so tiny!😂
I have a 1997 road trek 190 and we love it.
They're the best!
When did you buy it ?
I am curious how much do used ones roughly the same year as yours cost???
@@angelaschaefer5883 22-27 thousand

Yes, I definitely missed my rv! And I couldn't believe how tiny Alex and Henry were when we started this! Time has flown since retirement!
Thanks for sharing. We are the exact same height!
Perfect!
I want one of those. I'm looking for one right now with lower millage
The lower mileage is getting harder to find. Hoping you find yours soon!
@PriorityFocused thank you.
Cool video. Building out your own may save some money but nah you would learn about every mistake and what you would miss

@@PriorityFocused Yes having a solid base is good then you can add but doing it all would be rough
Totally agree!

@@jpsmusicandmore5457 I'm not a beach person, but I hear good things about Puerto Morelos! Videos from there are beautiful.
🎃 Gracias 🙏 Roadtrek Rocks!! 😘
Yes! They're the best!

What year is yours ? How many miles were on it when you bought it ?
It's a 2000, and there was 116k on it when I bought it (in 2019).
notice how many 1990s mercedez vans you see! None, I think id rather buy an old dodge than any new sprinter.
Very true!

Yup and anybody can do it ,but most do not. 20 years military ain't 20 years civilian ❤

Poor kid that have to live moms dream with no privace
Our life is fairly fluid🤷🏻♀️ So sometimes he gets more privacy than other times. Just like most people.
You need to shut up and mind your business. I grantee you have no kids if do I know they ate miserable
Mind your business and worry about your kids
