- In this video, we compare the APFG MPX to the Maruyama SCW9K. Both of these are amazing but just for fun there has to be a winner right?.
Witch of these would you pick to be your primary?.
I got the Scw9 +2 mags for £500 in the UK, The MPX is at 499 here in the UK. So prices have changed quite a bit
Honestly loving both need to get lights for both
I have both of these in 9mm in the USA, it’s crazy that the price of the gun is so cheap and parts are so cheap, the stock/brace with endcap on my APC9k pro was around $675 for the telescoping part and $160 after tax for the brace/stock end. $835 for the end. I love both but the APC9k pro does have the edge over the mpx IMO in real 9mm but I prefer my MCX virtus Tacops in 300blk over the MPX. It’s crazy that the airsoft mags cost more than the real 9mm counterpart. Just purchased new Glock 33rd mags for $36 yesterday but my B&T mags were also $50 and the sig mags were $50 as well. I have the metal lower b&t as well as the g lower but both are good but were over $650 just for an extra lower and another $270 for the adjustable trigger on b&t. Overall last year I spent more than $6,000.00 usd on my mpx, $8,000 on the b&t, and $16,000.00 on the mcx virtus including gun price, attachments including lasers, thermals, optics, sling, mags, and internal upgrades. As much as guns cost here in the USA, I would love to also get a matching airsoft version for all my guns so I can participate in milsim events with them and practice room clearing without the cost of simunitions and blanks. I’d love to also see recommendations on more AR style airsoft guns to match some other guns i have like sr15, sr25, hk416, hk mr762, hk g36, Barrett m107A1, and pistols as well if they have infinity 2011, Cabot, sig legion versions of p226, p229, p320, p365xl, staccato c2, among others to name a few.
Hopefully the new end cap has tighter tolerances
I want the mpx but honestly just to install the taskforce TTI kit on it
A question for you my man. Got the maruyama, so far loving it. Used it in an outdoor game where it was relatively cold and fps did suffer a bit. Was wondering what inner barrels and compatible with this as i know relatively little about vfc gbb platforms (ive ran other gbb for years)
I know about the power up barrel inside the suppressor. But I've butchered that to fit a tracer.
Any advice about what barrel and where to get them much appreciated
Hi there, vfc uses the same footprint as Marui or, more precisely, standard gbb for their inner barrels, I tightbore 6.01mm and will suit it well. Hope that helps.
Hope you have more sub, mate
Thanks 😊
Hi there really love your content and the level of detail you give is great when reviewing! Will you be reviewing the m249 Vfc GBBL? Thanks
Hi there, I do plan on getting hold of one, but right now, my schedule is a little full. There's the B&T GHM9-G, the APFG MCX virtus, and the new Noveske N4 Gen 3 MWS coming.
That’s great I’m looking forward to the reviews. Your review the of the biohazard TM USP made me buy it. I’m scared if I carry on watching all those other vids; my wallets is going to cry haha. Keep up the good content!
love your videos bro
What's up, MAG? Apparently, my SCW9k's suppressor got screwed up! The inner linings got damaged -- now, the accuracy is tainted, so when I field it, I go without the suppressor, kinda sad.. I used high-quality BBs and fired at least 3000 rounds. Checked out the market for inner barrel that'd fit the suppresor, but all of them have this cut for the hop assembly. What should I do?
Hi there, sorry to hear about your suppressor, I had the same issue with the rattler and switched out the inner barrel to a crazy jet. If you can't find a replacement suppressor inner barrel, then an option is to use a longer main inner barrel and place the suppressor over it to keep that look, or use a tightbore original length but remove the suppressor inner barrel. I hope that helps
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Good point. My only issue with a fixed main inner barrel is that I now have to shop for a longer bag, lol! Thanks, MAG!
I would say the pricing for the SCW9k is slightly off there, for the RIF + 5 spare extended mags it was £417 delivered to the UK for me (+£70~ customs). The 50rd Mags were the equivalent of £22 each, so pretty cheap really.
This was through ProAct direct from Taiwan
Awesome, the price I was refusing to was the current uk price available at www.defconairsoft.co.uk they retail for £450 as at the time of this being written. I got mine from www.wgcshop.com, and for the replica, I paid £280 plus £120 ups shipping, then 25% customs fee. The mpx is £300 plus approx £59.99 for a decent stock, and the mags are £34.99 pluss shipping. Currently have the B&T GHM9K G edition on the way for the end of September ish.
How much was the shipping from ProAct? The shipping cost of a RIF + mags puts me off buying from Asia
Hi there, shipping is hard to be exact due to the fluctuating currency exchange, a genral rule is if you can get the replica in your own country then your looking at £50 more or £50 less to import it approximately. For instance, the apc9k is £450 at www.defconairsoft.co.uk, and that includes shipping, yet it will cost you a little more to import it yourself. The MPX-K is sold out here, so that would be worth importing.
Got an SCW9 myself. So far really loving it. Only issues ive really had with it are feeding issues. BBs getting caught just short of the feed lips. That an issue you've had as well?
Hi there, I've not had it with the scw9k but I have had a similar issue with another replica in the past, it was mainly the follower of the mag getting Jamed near the top, I quick stir of the mag and a deep clean seemed to fix the issue. There's always some over spray or excess that jams the mag follower near the feedlips.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk yeah funnily enough when I cleaned it and used it again in the next game day it didn't happen anywhere near as often. Hoping that after they been broken in and cleaned out a number of times it shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Change bbs, I had issues only with some smaller and more precise bbs, using "bad quality" bbs solved my issue 😂
mate what are those lights you're running and are there lens protector for them? They look awesome.
Hi there, as I do run these in very close CQB, I use wadsn lights as they are very bright and durable. I just got hold of their PEQ15 with light and laser, this is currently attached to the Noveske N4 MWS GBBR. Wadsn have lots of remote options for them too.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk so no protector since they are durable enough if I understand you correctly? I'm only wondering since I bought a light months ago and am too afraid to use it because I don't know the durability basically.
In the last 5 years, I've only had one light shot out, and that's a nuprol x300 clone. I since found wadsn and so far they have been great. Their prices are low enough that if you did get one shot out, you can replace it. On average, the wadsn lights go for £36. With lens protectors, you find the throw of the light gets distorted, and so the objective of blinding the enemy is not so effective.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk thanks for the intel. I'll use the one I have now then and when/if it gets shot out I'll use look out for a wasdn
Do you know if the Ghm9 hammer is standard ar as well? Mine broke and no parts support yet
Hi there, the ghm9 hammer is custom from lambda defence, parts are being made, but as they are a small company, it's taking time. Hopefully soon.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk thanks for the reply, I shall try to be patient then lol. Appreciate the awesome reviews!
Letsgoo!
Great video. Did you had any issues with the MPX HU? I cannot get it to shoot consistently. Does the APC9 shoot consistently? Did you try it in a game? Thanks for your videos and Happy New Year to you and your family
Hi there, happy new year, with regards to the mpx-k gbb, it does need a break-in period, and I did in the end chainge the inner barrel to a maple leaf crazy jet. After approximately 1k rounds with the stock inner barrel, it went from 12" grouping to under 6" but with the crazy jet, it ended up shooting 2" groups. My testing was at 10m cqb distance, but with the crazy jet, it would easily reach out to 25m even with such a short barrel. As for gameplay, yes, I ran it a lot. It was my goto over the apc9. The apc9 was more consistent out of the box, but at the time of review, there was a lack of spare parts, and from a user point of view, the mpx was the more comfortable smg/pdw to shoot. Hope that helps.
Thanks for your reply… I don’t know why but mine does not settle… if i shoot slowly they go straight, with rapid fire in single.. first straight then fliers, then straight again.. my HK416 the same.. both of them have nozzles with NPAS. Keep up the good videos 💪🏻
Hi there, I found mine took a while, but eventually, it did settle. I really do recommend crazy jet inner barrels from mapleleaf for gbb smgs and short rifles they work great up to 8 or 9 inches, give or take, but any longer, and its a case of diminished returns due to how they work. Hope that helps.
