“I was only commanded to do these things that were enjoined upon me.”-Tafsir Kathir, Surah 18:82; www.alim.org/library/quran/AlQuran-tafsir/TIK/18/82
“…whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him.” -Surah 5:54
“We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.” -Surah 6:6
“If He wills, he can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people.” -Surah 6:133
If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment and will replace you with another people.” -Surah 9:39
“And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged…Then after them We made you so that We might see how you would do.” -Surah 10:13, 14
“If He wills, He can do away with you and produce a new creation.” -Surah 14:19
“So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy.” -Surah 18:81
“And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people.” -Surah 21:11
“Then We produced after them a generation of others.” -Surah 23:31/23:42
“If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation.” -Surah 35:16
“And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.” -Surah 47:38
“We are able to replace them [disbelievers] with better than them; and We are not to be outdone.” -Surah 70:40b-41
“We created them…and when We please, We shall exchange the likes of them.” -Surah 76:28
“We turned them into ruins. Then, We produced other generations. We caused some of them to follow others, and We turned them into stories.” -Surah 23:41, 42, 44
“Perhaps his Lord, if he divorced you [all], would substitute for him wives better than you.” -Surah 66:5
The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved (עצב) him to his heart. -Ge 6:5-6.
This is expressed even more strongly in Gen 3:16, 17 where עצב is used to describe the painful punishment imposed on man and woman which now shackles the existence of humankind alienated from God. Here the verb from the same root is used to describe the pain of God in his decision to destroy his creatures. The same motif occurs in the prophetic pronouncements of judgment when God laments that he must intervene against his people, e.g. Is 2:2-3; Jer 12:7-13. -Claus Westermann, A Continental Commentary: Genesis 1-11 (Minneapolis, MN: Fortress Press, 1994), 410-411.
“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live? -Ezek 18:23
Say to them: “As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.” -Ezek 33:11

islame is a very feminist religion:
      1. muhummud increased women employment by introducing mutah and sex slavery as professions.
      2. muhummud encouraged gender equality by legalizing wife beating
      3. muhummud prevented pedophilia by making it legal to rape prepubescent girls calling it nikah
      4. muhummud increased the security and protection of women by introducing adult breastfeeding.
      5. muhummud was a true feminist because he identified as a woman. He wore women's clothing, wore eyeliner, colored his hair orange and even sat down and peed like a woman.
      6. muhummud also provided opportunities for women to date other men by introducing halala marriage.

@@sayedf11 I don't know about the Bible because I didn't read that. But I will respond to your statements about the Quran.
I don't know how you can say Islam is good to women when the testimony of a woman is worth half of that of a man. Men can have four wives but women can only have one husband. If a husband wants sex the wife must comply. In sex the man can penetrate her anyway he wants including anal and she must comply. If they get divorced the children belong to the husband. Men can wear whatever they want but the women have to cover their body. Men can beat their wives if they don't obey him or if he even thinks they won't obey him. Men can have sex with their slaves.
Muslims can't even agree on what the Koran means and what the rules are. The different sects of Islam fight over it. Yet the Quran is supposed to be the perfect eternal word of Allah. It's not perfect if God made it such that different people can interpret it differently and understand it differently.
It's also not perfect and eternal if Allah needs to reveal future verses to clarify previous versus or correct previous verses. That is not sensible. That is not logical. Therefore it is not from a God but from a non sensible non-logical human who is capable of error. This is clear to any rational human being who uses their intellect to think about it.
There is much more evidence that the Koran is man-made and not from God. I'll give you just a few. The sun sets in a spring of muddy water with people in the vicinity. The sun is floating in an orbit. Sperm is produced between the backbone and the ribs (not the testicles). God created the world in 6 days. God created the world in 8 days.
The flat-earthers who follow 7th century Islam need to wake up and read their own book again but this time think about it using your human intellect instead of reading it under the premise that it's from God.
I hope you all wake up and join the rest of humanity. I wish you all luck my brothers and sisters in humanity.

Actually, if a person wants to get away with any crime, all you have to do is to find the loophole: if you fear disobedience or that your children may leave Islam, they may be killed. If you fear disobedience in your wife, you may scourge her, but if perchance she dies of infection, would the man to be to blame for this or complications of broken bones? NO! If men want a younger woman and is angry about paying for his wife or wives and the children he had with them, if you accuse them of Zina (adultery), the state will put them away as in Iran and the man gets out of paying for anything. Imprisonment is certain, that there ever will be a trial, is not likely to ever happen. The waiting time for your trial to come up, your children who are imprisoned along with their mother, will be grown.
Most people whether they are Muslim or from the West, are good time Charlies and would rather have a good time and not think about very much at all. So that so many are so busy with daily life or frivolity, not much will get challenged as thinking is discouraged in Islam.

    • @wlan246
      @wlan246 4 года назад +8

Critical thinking is not merely "discouraged", it is actively punished. One is not a true Muslim unless one accepts everything Muhammad said or did _without reservation_ . (Qur'an 4.65)

    • @courag1
      @courag1 4 года назад +8

@@wlan246 When things make sense, critical thinking becomes a part of nature, as you observe and notice what works and what works better. But if you constantly get a different result, you cannot draw a conclusion. Muhammad kept people with a totally inconsistent message. The amount of literature to have to read is for most, insurmountable. Considering a book which was arranged by line length it is a nightmare to discipline yourself to read, so people depend on the imams. If you have a nice one, not much harm. But then again, I live in the West, in Saudi Arabia, you would not dare think for yourself even today. But as there are many these days who have an education or who study abroad, they have to be able to draw conclusion as for those in the sciences, you cannot diagnose or prescribe unless you observe. Somewhere in there the ability to think will emerge.
One of my sons attended Cal State LA and had a philosophy whose father had become a medical doctor and went back to Saudi to practice. If you are a doctor there you may be called upon to treat amputations of hands and feet so the person does not bleed to death. He hemmed and hawed and would lose his medical license if he did not comply, he gathered up his family and what funds he could take and their clothing and fled to Scotland where he was able to practice medicine. He had concluded that in medicine as he was taught: first do no harm, that he could not participate in a system which Hippocrates would despise.
His son told his class about this. Even in a country where critical thinking is forbidden, humanity is stronger. Situations come up which the Sharia cannot tell you what to do.

Your voice is so low, even, and soothing to listen to!
Your information is stellar, and leaves me wanting more!
David Wood recently taught about girls having to give up
their dolls when they have their first period, because they are now grown up, and must put aside dolls, because they are idols! Then reading that Aishia took her dolls with her AFTER Mohammad consummated the marriage when she was 9, means that he had sex with her BEFORE she had even begun to bleed! Apparently, she fell ill, and her hair fell out, and took a while to grow back in. Mohammad is known for liking long hair, and so waited for her hair to grow back. When her hair grew back long enough for her to be desirable to him once again, the marriage was consummated, and she took her dolls with her! That kind of trivia is telling!

    • @OrpheusXL
      @OrpheusXL 4 года назад +6

Well, as the scholars know, that this is mentioned, that Aicha played with her dolls when she had been "consummated" by the "prophet", they desperately try the take the dolls away, so that nobody can say anymore: But this is still a girl, because she is playing with dolls!
All makes sense this way. You just have to understand muslim minds.

Why oh why can’t the feminists see Islam for what it is, and get shrill about FGM! They chant, “My body, my choice,” about abortion, and are silent when IN AMERICA, littler girls are undergoing “female circumcision-Female Genital Mutilation?!? Then there’s child sex slaves, and women being disrespected in general...
The LGBTQ people also need to use their clout to protect themselves from Sharia! Especially the guys! They are KILLED in Saudi Arabia and Iran, and other Muslim countries!

I am not sure how many times I have to repeat this.
I support Christians, but I am not a Christian. Anything related to Christianity you need to ask them not trying to justify the sickness of the quran by diverting to something else, in this case Christianity.
Now, for your leader Muhamammad, read very carefully!
There is zero evidence, ZERO that forcing 6 years old children into marriage with 53 years old men was common.
IF indeed it was common -(please Muslims provide evidence it was so common all around the world to FORCE a marriage WHEN a child was 6 with a 53 years old man).
it was because men were ignorant back then and it should NOT be excused.
Forced arranged child marriage did exist (the “ common” is disputable) because of the ignorance of people, HOWEVER the age difference, 6 years old with 53 years old,was NOT commonly practiced at all.
And still this despicable act should not be excused in the context of time and ignorance.
People know how harmful it is now.
How come this Allah, did not inform Muhammad that having sex with children is immoral?
If it was so common back then ( I doubt it, it was common for 6 years old to be forced into a marriage with a 53 years old, evidence please) Allah ( Muhammad’s alter -ego) should have made a priority to let Muhammad know having sex with children harms children and it is a despicable act.
Instead this Allah fellah gives the green light for Muhammad to engage in sex with a child ( rape Aisha unable to consent) and forgets to tell him such important detail NOT to set an IMMORAL example to be followed by all people and all times, however did not forget to tell Muslim men, as prescribed in sura 65:4 that having sex with children is ok.
That verse gives specifics on child marriage.
Muhammad set an immoral, disgusting example; and also provided regulations on child marriage and sex with children , sura 65:4, yet Muslims find justifications for it.
The important factor is that you Muslims do not seem to understand that a devine being, being devine, all knowing being, ( assuming it exists) is NOT constraint by time .
If Muhammad was in contact with this Allah( an all knowing, all powerful God, the one that sets moral examples for all people and all times) would have told him that those behaviours of having sex with children should not be practiced at any time or in any context.
A God is beyond time, or context.
Instead gives the green light for Muhammad to rape Aisha and gives previsions in sura 65:4 for disgusting sex with children.
Muslims excusing Muhammad’ s behaviour just prove further that Islam is a disgreceful ideology that has no place anywhere, anytime.

I read the first part of your link on Surah 65:4: "not once has the word ‘Nisa’ been used for a ‘child(ren)". Surah 7:127 describes the account where Pharaoh kills the baby boys and let's the baby girls live. Here's what Kathir says, "After the dream, Pharaoh ordered that every newborn male among the Children of Israel be killed and that the girls be left alone." Here's the parallel account in Exodus: “When you help the Hebrew women in childbirth, look at the child when you deliver it. If it’s a boy, kill it, but if it’s a girl, let it live.” Here's the Quran: "Their male children will we slay; (only) their females will we save alive; and we have over them (power) irresistible." This is clearly referring to male and female children. And the word the Quran uses: "nisa". So your "Dr. Rohi Baalbaki" doesn't know what he's talking about. With an error that blatant at the first part of the article, I didn't read that rest. That's very sloppy.
Maududi: “Therefore, making mention of the waiting-period for the girls who have not yet menstruated, clearly proves that it is not only permissible to give away the girl in marriage at this age but it is also permissible for the husband to consummate marriage with her. Tafsir Al-Baidawi: {and those who have not menstruated yet} Meaning those who have not menstruated yet.
Tafsir Mujahid-Ibn Jabr: Those who have not yet menstruated, their ‘idda is three months. Tafsir Bukhari: He made the ‘idda of a girl before puberty three months.
Tafsir Abu-hayyan: “Those who have not menstruated yet” denotes those not menstruated because of being young.
Tafsir Al-Fayrooz Abadi: {and those who have not menstruated yet} Those who did not menstruate due to their young age.
Tafsir As-Suyuti: {and those who have not menstruated yet} They are the young girls who have not menstruated yet.
Tafsir Muqatil ibn Sulayman: {and those who have not menstruated yet} … means the Iddah of the young girls who have not menstruated yet, and they were married and then divorced. Ibn Hajar: (65:4) indicates that giving her into marriage before puberty is permissible.“
Tafsir ‘Uthaymeen: If a woman does not menstruate, either because she is very young or old and past menopause, then her ‘iddah is three months
Tafsir Al-Sa‘di: “along with those who have it [menses] not” means minors, those who have not yet started to menstruate.
Tafsir Shafi‘ and Usmani: “‘iddah for a woman who does not menstruate on account of minority of age, or because she has attained menopausal age, is computed on monthly basis. Their ‘‘iddah is three months.
Islamonline: Since this is not negated later, we can take from this verse that it is permissible to have sexual intercourse with a prepubescent girl.
Islamweb: So (in 65:4), Allah set rulings of marriage, divorce and waiting period for the women who have not yet had menses, i.e. the young girls.
Islamqa: In this verse (65:4) we see that Allaah states that for those who do not menstruate - because they are young and have not yet reached the age of puberty - the ‘iddah in the case of divorce is three months. This clearly indicates that it is permissible for a young girl who has not started her periods to marry. Encyclopedia of medical jurisprudence: The waiting period for the little girl who has not menstruated is counted as three months, in accordance with the saying of the Most High: “and [also for] those who have not menstruated” [Qur’an 65:4].

One other point, Allah also doesn't value sinless humans either: Abu Ayyub Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) said: If you were not to commit sins, Allah would have swept you out of existence and would have replaced you by another people who have committed sin, and then asked forgiveness from Allah, and He would have granted them pardon.- Sahih Muslim 6621 (51:7140)

Succinct and clear, as one can come to expect from this channel.
It's so interesting how Islamic polemicists will attack Christianity and say that 'Allah is just, since he won't substitute one for another. Your sins are your own....' - when if they've looked into such a topic at all, we find that in Islam Allah does *just that* without any regard for justice. I wonder if they're also merely deceiving, so they can be like Allah who claims to be 'the greatest of deceivers', or if they're merely ignorant of their own theology?
Whereas in Christianity Jesus pays the price in our stead (instead of shifting the blame to another, He takes it on Himself!) and offers to pay the price of sin in our stead to any who would 'turn from evil' and accept Him (there's those passages from Ezekiel echoing)!
Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
In one I see grace and mercy abounding in love.
In the other I see almost a 'who cares' attitude: something which also seems consistently echoed throughout Islamic theology.
What do you worship, Muslims? If you say Allah of the Qu'ran, I have news for you: it is abundantly clear that he is not 'all-merciful'.. nor even *merely just*, much less maximally just! It almost looks like he couldn't care less!
Not to mention this same Allah also lays claim to the title 'greatest of deceivers': would you even trust what you read in the Qur'an if you thought it is authored by one who prides himself in being great at lying?
Would you trust a handshake from the Joker?

It's not something I would produce a video on. I don't always default to one or the other. In places where differences exist, it's helpful to evaluate all of the available readings. This is easily done these days, at least from the perspective of collecting the data. On the LXX though, one interesting and more recent (early 90's) development is the recognition that assumptions of a different text type, based on the LXX's rendering of the Hebrew which would appear at variance with the MT, are often flawed. Overall, the LXX appears to be from a Heb text that was substantially the same as what we call the MT. Of course in places where we can check, Isaiah scroll for example, the Hebrew text has been meticulously copied.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
      Masoretic isaiah 61:1-2:
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn."
      LXX isaiah 61:1-2:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me; he has sent me to preach glad tidings to the poor, to heal the broken in heart, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind; to declare the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of recompence; to comfort all that mourn."

"Opening" in Is 61:1 is a reduplicated form that can refer to opening eyes wide (cf Is 42:7). The meaning in Is 61:1 would be that prisoners are let out of their dark dungeons in to the light of day. This goes right along with Luke's Gospel where Jesus made this a reality in more ways than one. "Do you think these differences are significant in the preservation of the MT?" That answer should be obvious.

Now let's put you into the shoes of a ruler/king, would you listen to anyone disrespecting you? And no one was killed just for that except they went to excessive measures with their intensions. Rather than quoting hadiths, would recommend having the story behind it.

And if God is a ruler he should be tolerant. Because many idiots mock and disobey god intentionaly he can't take everyone so seriously all the times. And according to you if allah is a god who cannot tolerate this kind of behaviour than why does he act upon himself. Why does he needs humans to execute these judgements. If he is already frustrated because muslims don't have Sharia in all the countries and muslim belief is intolerant so god of Islam turns out to be silent. So he is more tolerant than muslims are according to your logic.

Thanks for your well researched video, but a few quotes from the OT do not represent the spirit of Christianity in how God deals ultimately with sinners.
While Adam and Eve died, and the world was punished with the Flood, it was specifically to these souls that Christ preached when he descended into Hades, as St Peter reports. It is not just that God laments the death of the sinner, but that he will in the end find a way to bring that sinner back to salvation, even if it is at the deepest place in Hades.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  4 года назад +1

The goal was not to compare how God deals ultimately with sinners. The goal was to compare how God regards human life in the context of catastrophic judgment. In the Quran, successive people groups are wiped out and replaced in a too often repeated cycle of stories. The closest we get to this is in the Bible is the flood account. I have an entirely different interpretation of Peter’s words, but that’s another story. Thanks for your comment

    • @Josdamale
      @Josdamale 4 года назад +1

@@IslamCritiqued I just recently subscribed. I like your content - well researched - good arguments - and calm delivery.
I get your point of wanting to show that God laments when sinners die or are punished, however, this in itself is incomplete and can be potentially misunderstood. Imagine for a moment God claiming to lament that he must kill the children and animals along with the sinful men at the time of Noah. Such a view of God can be quite disturbing. You might not have thought that but a non-Christian could.
Consider, however, if one juxtaposed the Scripture of the world being destroyed by the Flood and Jesus Christ descending into Hades to preach to those who died in the Flood. This may show a Muslim a purpose for the crucifixion that they may have never thought of: namely, how Christ used it to preach to and save the dead.
It comes down to: he who believes in Christ will never die.
This would show that God not only laments the death of a sinner, but can defeat death to save the repentant sinner. It is a powerful message of love.
I felt that simply recounting God's sorrow at the death of a sinner may be construed as insincere grief if he is the Judge punishing the sinner and not also the Saviour saving him. Actually, death becomes a means of salvation through faith in Christ.
      Good video anyway.

The child said " if muhamed himself were here, I could not eat this any faster" he didn't even say anything negative about muhamed, he was actually praising him, nonetheless, they took the child to the middle of the town, where the child was slaughtered. Muslims, what did the boy say, that was offensive to muhamed? The boy told the truth. Muhamed couldn't have miraculously cooled the boys soup down, considering allah didn't give muhamed any miracles, because ya know, the miracles of the early prophets didn't work. Oh but they did, they always did. Did Moses miracles bring the Jews out of Egypt. Yes. So then they worked. Did Jesus being born of a virgin, dying and resurrecting work. Looks like it did.
