- I got this tractor about two weeks ago (up to when this was filmed).
The New Holland Workmaster 25S Subcompact tractor is surprisingly powerful. This is my 10-hour review on how I like it so far and some projects I am working on. Hope you all like this review of my subcompact New Holland Workmaster 25s!

If you manipulate the seat a lot the wires for the seat safety switch can chafe and short out on the hole in the seat frame causing the fuse to blow and not allow the tractor to start. Tape up the wires to keep them from rubbing. Also i noticed you run your seat safely switch the same way i do. 😉 If you keep a stick handy you can push on your forward pedal to move the backhoe without having to get on and off. It makes the trenching go so much faster. Turn the bucket down and use it like a foot/ anchor to stabilize the tractor and keep it from rolling.
Looking for a subcompact tractor for the yard. Pretty sure it's going to be one of these. Thanks for the info!!
You’re having way too my fun with that thing brother.
Haha man I am loving every minute of it!
Your video is just what I needed. I have a New Holland TZ 22 and I was toying to upgrade as I now have landscaping I want to do on my property. Thanks for talking about the price, it helps.
Thanks for the feedback!
I just bought one of these early today. Delivery toward the end of the week. I'm excited!
Thanks for the review!!
Thats awesome man! Hope you love it and good luck!
@@MBKUncut I just passed the 50 hour mark. It’s a great machine and the perfect size for my needs! I just did the 50 hour service.
@@usethenoodle ah that’s awesome man! Glad it’s holding up for you. Just passed the 50 hour mark myself!
@@MBKUncut I don't know if you have done the 50 hour which is an oil change, and fuel filters, clean the air filter and replace the two Hydraulic filters, grease the zircs and inspect a bunch of stuff. The manual says to change the fuel filters and bleed the fuel system using the little lever pump on the fuel pump which looks like a pulse pump to me. Not sure about that. So I took both fuel filters off and replaced with new... the small clear one is $60!. Yikes. It's just a strainer and it had a small amount of debris in it. I frankly don't think it needs doing at 50 hours, but I followed the OEM instructions in the maintenance schedule like a good boy. Then I couldn't get anything to happen in order to bleed the system per the manual. The little hand pump wasn't doing anything. Arg! New Holland's manual isn't very up to par if you ask me. Removing the backhoe per the manual is totally bogus.
So, here is what worked to change fuel filters and bleed the system. Make sure your drain pan is under the small filter. Remove the fuel cap. Disconnect the fuel line out of the small clear filter on the frame rail. It's the line pointing toward the front of the tractor. Be ready as diesel will immediately fill the small filter and it's a gusher. Reconnect it. Now your small filter is full. There will be some air visible in there. It's OK. next, use the lever pump on the side of the fuel pump to fill the larger filter up on the engine all the way and pump 20-30 extra pumps. The thumb pump won't pull fuel from the tank unless the small filter is gravity filled first. The manual doesn't tell you this. Then, attempt a start. It will take a few attempts to sustain an idle condition and do some smoking. Go ahead and pump the thumb pump a few more times between attempts. When you get it to idle for a bit smoothly, go ahead and rev it to 1/3 throttle and let it roll for a couple minutes. You should be back to normal easy starts after that. The key is to gravity fill the small clear prefilter first.
The oil change is routine. I haven't done the hydraulic filters yet as the dealer gave me two oil filters instead of the small hydraulic filter and one oil filter. So... be sure the counter guy gives you the correct stuff. I also bought a gallon each of the OEM hydraulic oil and the premix OEM coolant. ~$200 for all of it. And, I even gave him the part numbers I wanted. He still screwed it up and I didn't realize it until I'd driven all the way home. So I ordered the smaller OEM hydraulic filter off eBay and it just arrived. I'm not sure how much Hydraulic oil is lost on those filter changes. The bigger one is inside of the left rear tire on the frame. The small one is under on the front of the rear diff. I may do those today. Best regards... Craig
I’m in the process of buying one of these, it’s supposed to be delivered next week. I’m excited to try it out.
Heck yeah, hope you love it as much as I do!
I appreciate you sharing the review. We love our 25S and have dug out many trees with the backhoe.
Thanks for watching Paul! Just around the 50 hour mark now!
@@MBKUncut That's awesome!
Love all that rich soil! Jenna is going to be able to grow some great veggies!
It is like… BLACK lol! You should bring some back to AZ with you!
New Holland is an excellent product. Not as well known as John Deere or Kubota but in my opinion every bit as good.
I believe they are actually a LS from Korea.
Capable little tractor, definitely a must have for living in the country.
Oh absolutely brother!
Love it,shame it is just beyond my pocket book. Thanks for posting
Thanks for watching Don!
all is good but it needs a loader bucket level indicator
I guess mine was the one built on a Friday afternoon. Numerous issues. Not Happy. Fall is approaching fast and I’m without a tractor!
I am still trying to figure out if it's a toy or tool? Yolo!! Looks like you're having a good time. Also glad to see you in a ford again. Plan for a belly mower for all your mowing?
LOL you and your fords 😂
I have a cub cadet mower for the lawn, these tractor tires are definitely not lawn friendly. I think I’d rather keep this thing with its ground clearance.
I appreciate you all watching!
Wheels being too small? Well, it is a sub compact tractor, otherwise you'd be in the compact category. I think these are sized just right for the around the home type tractor. These are swiss army knives of tractors in this category. Doesn’t matter about the wheel size in mud for most cases, I use a Case 570mxt and it's too heavy and will sink and or lose traction in the same manner as you've described about the 25S. I'm actually looking to purchase a 25S soon.
Thank u
Have you used a post hole auger with this? I’m considering buying one of these, just curious how they do digging holes. I have a few projects I’m gonna need some 18” holes dug 4ft deep.. think it can handle it?
I would love to find bigger rims and tires for these. Have anyone done a swap ?
Haven't found anything yet. Definitely on the lookout though! I might call the dealer and run the question by them
@@MBKUncut mine didn’t have and info but let me know if you have better luck!
If you want bigger tires, just buy a bigger tractor. These are designed for the tire size they have.
Buy the workmasrer 25 that's without the s.its alot bigger but cost like 8 grand more
Be careful and how much you put in the in the I had one same size as yours tour the tractor in half the motor detached itself from the rear end my machine was 2 years old from what I understand it's quite common now I don't even have a tractor
Wow, thats crazy! Sorry that happened to you
How the tractor running now?
Put chains on your tires it won't get stuck.
good tip!
MrBigFarmer
Hah! That has a ring to it 😂
Review is neither 25s OR 10 hours. Fake news. IT'S FAKE NEWS PEOPLE!
....kinda rad little tractor though...
😂😂
So far it has been working great!
So the dealer did infact hook you up with the "Paid Ladies" once a week for a year....I was tempted too, nothin like jackhammering out a cookie
Lol ladies of the night
