Thank you so much for sharing this. I would have loved a few more slow shots during the build for beginners like me. However I have built a pretty good first attempt using some of your ideas. I would love another build video if you get the chance. Thanks.
Thank you! There will be plenty of more builds in the future, I do intend on making some tutorials-style videos for smaller builds, as well as share some of the tricks I use to take my builds to the next level.
I would've loved to, but farming the materials takes forever, and so does the building. On top of that, I am constantly deviating from my original design and making improvements as I discover them, so at this point I have ended up with something that is similar, but not a replica of my original blueprints.
@@sverkerbonk my friend how did you manage the entrance and align the roof with the little hat so that you can put the small 45 degree below accordingly? Aaaand, what are the little triangle walls made of which u use for ornaments
Yes! I am using the smaller stone foundations as pillars since they make everything they touch bright green, even if they are at a level of red. It is a must if you want to build a bit higher.
It is very good looking. The only issue I find is it uses 2 plots and does not fit at least one furnace, or windmill. And if it gets small kilsn at the bottom floor, the smoke wil permeate all the above floors. But great RP build for sure.
great build, i am currently building this in my world ... the only question i have is, how are you getting up to the very top floor? i dont see any stairs up there
Carpentry 8 unlocks the thinner stone walls (under foundations), although the half foundations seem to be what you need if you are having trouble supporting upper stories (the stone pillars and walls don’t seem yo give the same support)
@@brindelcow Those aren't the walls I'm indicating. I;m interested in the walls that use bricks. I am beyond carpentry 8 and don't see those as a selectable item.
Thanks! I honestly played far too much in order to build this inn as fast as I could, it was like something around 6-8 hours, but you got to remember that my skills were low at the time as well, so it did get a bit faster as I improved them!
@@sverkerbonk Cheers for the info! Not got the game myself, wanted to gauge the sort of time sink needed to just go all sim city (as frankly that seems the only thing to do in the game, or only thing worth doing! But I don't want to spend half a year clicking on rocks to build a wall or something if it was that grindy but good to see it's not too crazy !!)
How high does your carpentry have to be to be able to build straightened wooden beams and pillars? I'm patiently solo grinding away and can't wait to get there. Fun build, gj!
I want to, but it takes too long to farm this material on your own, and building takes even longer. I might do some smaller tutorials however that will help people take their builds to the next level.
Well, yes and no. I am part of a clan, and because of them I have been able to access better tools and equipment a lot faster, but in terms of this build, it has been a solo project from the start. I am the only one farming the materials and constructing it.

Respect! Great job. Appreciate the details
Can't wait for Part 2!! Awesome work!
The building in this game is awesome.
I think I could live there. 😁
looking at these "prestine" builds makes my grim dark fortress even more gritty lol
Incredible work!!
Awesome build. Tried to attempt building it but failed dismally. Is there a step by step guide showing what is placed in positions??
Wish could do a tutorial on this..love too put as my base/home in my single player game

could we get a general step by step?
Gorgeous build!! Excuse me... I need to tare down my pos and start over. 😅
Lol 😂 right?
Me too 😂😂😂
How are you managing to get that high? Are you doing anything special with supports?
Yes! I am using the smaller stone foundations as pillars since they make everything they touch bright green, even if they are at a level of red. It is a must if you want to build a bit higher.
How did you raise the foundation as mine stays low to the ground. sorry for the newb question. just began playing today
Alt + Scrollwheel!

so when you cut down a tree, does it come back?
They do come back unfortunately :(

nvm its in part 2 lol
What do you need to craft to get access to brick walls and slate roofs?
Carpentry 8 unlocks the thinner stone walls (under foundations), although the half foundations seem to be what you need if you are having trouble supporting upper stories (the stone pillars and walls don’t seem yo give the same support)

@@LesterSuggsah. Carpentry 18-20 unlocks the half timber construction parts (hardwood planks, bricks, and pegs).
Very nice!
how the hell did you make such a roof on a day 4?
Totally amazing. Thank you for sharing this. Are you an architect ?? :)
Thank you! and no, not at all. I am just a man with a plan (and an eye for detail).
Epic. How long did it take you to gather materials did you have an entire team helping you?
Thanks! Sorry for the late reply, but I gathered the materials myself, and lets just say it took quite some time...
wow 😍😍😍
Looks amazing, how are you getting the cinematic camera angles/pans?
Did a quick search and for the rest of you wondering, F5 clears the HUD and F7 puts you into free cam.
How long approx were you playing each day and was it you alone gathering resources? Good building though :)

What level carpentry do you have?
He has to be at 19 or 20 since he is using half timber walls and windows

LVL 17,18,19 :)
This is insane lol
Is this on a double plot?
Yes, although what has been built in this video could technically fit inside a single plot if that plot is jointed with other plots.
How are you getting these freecam views?
Just press F7!
Press F7. While loving the camera, press alt and scroll the mouse wheel to speed up the camera movement
I have 6 foundations and I was proud...... F@%k😂
Tutorial please 😉
I want to, but it takes too long to farm this material on your own, and building takes even longer. I might do some smaller tutorials however that will help people take their builds to the next level.
Would buy if the early access wasnt full priced
Are you playing as a solo player?
