Too kind. Thanks so much for being with the channel.
Everyday feels like a war with myself. The psychological effects my childhood has had on me has been daunting. I’m always stressed and anxious over minor things about myself and lately ive been depressed. I know you made a video and one thing you mentioned is that the less you accept yourself the more distress you’re going to experience, but its been so hard. Mixed with perfection its been very hard. If you can make a video or give any pointers thatll be greatly appreciated. Thank u ❤️
Have you watched my video on healing your inner child? That video might be helpful for you. Have a good weekend
@@DocSnipes thank you ill check it out
@@krash6951 i know how you feel. have you tried meditation? specifically loving-kindness type? sharon salzburg is a great resource and her work is widely available.
@@psychologicallyspeaking nah i havent but ill look at it and probably try. Meditation could help me with gathering my thoughts & and that what you mentioned though so I understand that and should do it more
I could not have described this better if I better I tried. It's awful and I haven't got much left to deal with it. My life force feels drained . Only way I can describe this life stealing mess.
It's a very good advice on how to handle distress from caregiver jobs
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you for this presentation on Distress tolerance. I've been feeling very stressed lately and haven't been sleeping well. music helps, and listening to documentaries when I'm working on something or reading the bible is very helpful for me.

You can NOT modify what narcissist's have done but only deliberately forget which I'm NOT doing ! For me it's walking & praying & I know to do this so that would make me bad to me to not love myself.......................... You are good to yourself if you'd happen to love yourself!
Thanks for watching. Wishing you peace, health, and happiness.
It’s so good. This one comforts my soul big time.
Thank you. 😘
You're welcome 😊
Wow my high stress abuse NEVER ended until 6 months ago by getting away from insane narcissist's that was only 1 at a time!

What a great video, thank you so much for sharing!
You are so welcome!
I commend you on your exceptional attitude and presentations to honor and help others!! You truly share what people need. I wish I could have assimilated this sooner. You surpass my counselors; I would ask for this information and received more of a Rogerian approach which wasn't helpful. I don't need to hear my voice echo. You are highly organized and an outstanding teacher in how you do your writeups and overviews. Kudos to you! May God grant you many blessings. You are a champion!
Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for watching. What was your favorite tip from the video? May God bless you and yours.

You’re so welcome. Thank you for watching. What’s your favorite distress tolerance skill from the video?
@@DocSnipes The most useful, practical, and easy skill (my "go-to" technique) is by far the diaphragmatic breathing. Until I discovered DBT? My go to coping skill was CRYING. Literally, I would flee a stressful situation and go find somewhere private to cry 😢 until I felt capable enough to rejoin society. That's awful to admit, I know, but since discovering these skills? and your channel? I rarely ever cry anymore and as a side benefit? My immune system has become much stronger and I rarely ever catch a cold or get sick anymore. My intention now is to help everyone learn about the benefits of DBT🙂.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the tip as always. I appreciate your support. Have a great weekend

Brilliant 👏 tysm 🙏🏼
You’re welcome 😊
Doc got a question for you. Thought maybe you Might know.
Where's the switch Doc? Where do we go from being innocent, loving accepting of pretty much everyone and trusting children to whatever we are as adults?
Been thinking about it and I really don't know where or how that happens. 🤷🏻♂️
P. S. Ok not trying to sandbag you or anything like that. Just thought maybe they taught you that somewhere along the lines.
My question will always be how can be authentic if we never had a self, truly?
Wow! The victim can NEVER get away from their insane narcissist who trapped them with no resources or friends & thier verbal gaslighting abuse! The victim doesn't have any freedom to get away from the insane narcissist who won't STOP torturing them! The victim can't distract themselves because of the negative narcissist who won't let them try to feel good!
Thanks for watching and commenting.
You got it! Sad, but really true!! Even after leaving, he is in my life socially. ❤❤️🩹🙏
Distress Tolerance Skills coping skill
Thanks for watching.
Immerse yourself in pleasant distracting thoughts😂🤣😅😆😁😄😃😀🙂😂🤣😅😆😁😄😃Think about anything positive you could do & do it................even if it's taking a walk & singing the bad thoughts away.............imagining the bad thoughts to leave you! Shout SHOUT let it all out! These are the thing's that I leave behind ! They're gone ! They're vaporizing in the air! I love myself ! I'm walking feeling good & maybe I'll volunteer & be made fun of..............who cares...............they can't take away my joy! To do anything positive against fretting about the past & future cause only bad ever happened to you WON'T WORK but cause you to be at your worst!

Can distress tolerance creates aphasia?.
I really dislike all of my abuser's cause they have gotten away with acting out thier high levels of distress on me!😠😡😠😡😠😡😠😡😠😡😠😡😠
My insane narcissist dead husband beat me up ! So did my mom for the ENTIRE year of 2006! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭They both made me wanna die & NEVER had to face the consequences for what they did to me! Both of them could of killed me!
😟 Thanks for watching. Wishing you peace, health, and happiness.
what do you think about this: we're either religious or non-religious. from a religious world view everybody is either good or bad and will end up either in heaven or in hell and no matter what you've done, Jesus or your prophet of choice will save you.
from a non-religious view nobody might be truly bad or good, as there exist no hell or heaven
