I absolutely love that they didn’t beat around the bush with Adam and Rhaenyra. The episode started with them standing face to face and dragon to dragon! What an intense moment!!!!

I truly believe that Vermithor wasn’t actually trying to kill them all in the beginning. His fire is very directed to a small group and he blasts around the large group. It isn’t until the screaming really gets loud and shrill that he starts actually getting angry and directly killing. He also seems to be extra aggressive towards anyone who’s being loud/shrill until Hugh steps up
Vermithor is the annoyed Grandpa that was just napping, summoned for whatever and had to deal with a bunch of loud people. He was fed up!

43:02- i love that they had aemond actually say the word “flee” to vhagar. loved that little detail
I have a question…. Rhaenyra is QUEEN. So the dragon keepers are in public defiance of her. Did Rhaenyra show them grace by not punishing them for the way they spoke to her? We recently saw her slap someone and say “it is my fault that you have forgotten to fear me”. Well obviously the dragon keepers are showing that they do not fear her either. I took major offense to the way they treated Rhaenyra and I’d like to see the dragon keepers punished for it.
My take on it is that the dragon keepers are akin to a religious order that fulfills a role but that even Rhaenyra has limited power over. Sort of like our modern equivalent of the concept of separation of church and state.
Aemond asking sweeet baby girl halaena to hop on dreamfyre to battle is making my blood pressure spike.
Alicent seems a bit lost but I think she'll somehow save Halaena from Aemond's plan. Surely she can get it together to do that much!

25:04 it feels like his having a dragon was what made him feel ‘legitimate’. Sort of a “they can say whatever they want about my looks- but I’m special because I have a dragon,” and now that’s being challenged. The kid is STRESSED.

I agree with you that the arc with Daemon is 50/50 and I really hope the showrunner has learned from GoT. We as viewers are faithfully following them on breaking of our favorite character in Daemon - they better not let us down!

I love the opposing needs both Oscar and Daemon have that you mentioned. Oscars wants the love/respect from his vassals while Daemon needs their swords. And if they play their cards right, which they do, both could come out on top. I didnt think of it that way. Brilliant analysis.

I still am holding out hope for Nettles though. Yes I know I'm delulu, especially when I want something very badly. I am the girl who when reading the GoT book after watching to first season, still hoped and thought that Ned would make it... delulu haha.
But since there is only one episode left, and Rhaena is off trying to find Sheep Stealer, maybe she does, but she also finds Nettles who is taming and then mounting Sheep Stealer. 🤞🤞🤞

I really appreciate Oscar holding his ground when talking to Daemon! He was a little too much on his high horse acting like there's no consequence for the mess he made in the Riverlands.😅😅😅😅

I just want to say I whole heartedly and genuinely enjoy ur videos so much they are so fascinating to me especially when u give perspectives that I would have never of thought of (that may be because I’m not the brightest) such as the bird in the sky and u inferring Alicent wants to be that free and thought she would be but she is actually just trapped and it’s her own doing like I loved that (I thought we were just getting a cool shot of a bird)

I like the fact that they used the word “mongrel” in the show. It’s a really disgusting word and it gave me a visceral reaction when I heard it - and I feel like that’s how we were supposed to react as the audience.
Jace is being extremely hypocritical in that moment and when he used that word, it was really obvious how he thinks of others, but doesn’t think of himself like that. Maybe he’ll go on a journey and learn some humility. Just my 2 cents.

I kept gasping during the scenes with rhaenyra and vermithor… For me this was the first episode since rooks rest that the appearance of the dragons has literally had me jaw dropped. The design of silverwing and vermithor were so fucking cool and I can’t wait to see Raena claim sheepstealer in the finale!! But damn have they stretched that out, it feels like we have gotten an average of 45 seconds with raena each episode and it sucks cause I want more!

I find it facinating to watch the inspiration the show writers are clearly getting from Macbeth.
I swear Alicent is seconds away from going full on "Out damn spot" with her whole obsession with being clean. It very much is the same concept of innocence and purity she was raised with being corrupted and being made dirty by her guilt. Exactly the same as Lady Macbeth. A queen who drove her son/husband to usurp the rightful ruler out of some odd sense of duty and pride, only to be driven insane by her guilt manifested in the form of dirtied hands.
Almost makes me think the show will have Alicent throw herself from the tower (like Lady Macbeth) rather than Heleana.
I wonder why she didn’t have Seasmoke and Addam out there at the end scene

I really loved episode 7, just as the entire season. Yes, I wished some moments would have happened differently but I love the season, even the Daemon at Harrenhall plot.
The one thing from the books I hope they change is Helaena turning Team Black 😂, she's my precious angel and she needs to be with her sister, she'd treat her so much better than the greens

The scene with Jace broke my heart, children paying for parents mistakes. Rhaenyra should have listened to him considering what Ulf and Hugh will most likely do. Also, I love how Jace would follow her as a leader as Aemond discards Alicent without a blink, a nice parallel in how sons see their mothers

The last 20 minutes of this episode were both epic and grim at the same time given that after Vermithor went full ham on dragon seeds they weren't even allowed to escape... and there were some religious cult like undertones for a character we know isn't religious at all (Rhaenyra) tho she still does believe in a higher power/purpose that being Aegon's dream, the prophecy which he called a song of ice and fire but I think they're trying to give her this god complex in attempts of making her fate similar to that of Daenerys and branding her "the mad queen" as they did with Daenerys... thinking of it gives me anxiety 🤡😭

The villainizing of Daemon has made me, as a huge book fan, disappointed. I’ll watch the finale first though, before I shun it completely. The character building has been fantastic to witness.

I know people are upset about Nettles being replaced by Rhaena but at the same time in Fire and Blood it’s suspected that Nettles was a daughter figure to Daemon so she may take on a vigilante persona maybe or an Arya like plot. (Yes it’s also suspected that Nettles was a lover to Daemon but this portion of fire and blood is heavily green biased since it’s being transcribed by a maester of Oldtown).
