It's not illegal in Australia to stand up whilst riding on the road, especially if riding for sometime.
The state the video was in has specific regulations to what you are allowed to do, in certain states you're not allowed to stand, reach around to access your saddlebags, sway side to side in your lane. Know your area laws and regulations. I have gotten a ticket for not walking my bike across the road.

Most of the USA doesn’t allow standing whilst riding.

If that dude's never done chain maintenance on that thing, you can only imagine how many other things are way pass due for maintenance.
I would like to think these last two generations of kids understand, even the content creator, the reason dashcam channels are so popular is because how bad drivers are because traffic laws aren't being enforced, along with other laws in some states. When laws aren't enforced a society is doomed.

It also shows you know nothing about the law . Depending on the state . In ohio the law states must be riding on a permanent mounted seat or saddle .

@@frankbattams322 I've been riding for 60 years. Many 3 day weekend rides all over the eastern U S , and two trips to Sturgis 2200 miles. Dirt bikes is the only time I have stood up .

I get the frustration of Stone Mountain Moto, but getting upset was not the way. You can still explain to a nonrider why you ride like that without being too defensive and giving attitude. I get it, you have a cop coming at you claiming reckless driving and the first feeling is to defend yourself, but the best way to go about it, is to explain why you ride that way without attitude. There's room for education everywhere, no need to be frustrated that you have to educate on a subject you know..
I dont know the actual law in New Zealand about standing on your pegs but i do it all the time.
Some cops have looked at me but never stopped me. A man needs to adjust his plums now n then especially wile riding a single on the road

And sorry not sorry these people run around on these atvs and dirt bikes etc with no registration or insurance obviously, and probably no license, and when they get into an accident which is inevitable, guess who has to pick up the tab????? Those of us who do the right thing. You want to run around on some rural private property with permission, go for it. But don't drive unlicensed uninsured and unregistered. And then add to it doing stunts. And yes that was karma.

That dirt bike rider is right in a way you do ride standing up but when you're riding in the dirt. He was on a asphalt public road there's no need to ride standing up since you're not going over jumps and bumps

Do you ride a dirt bike on the road. They are single cylinder bikes and after an hour you need to move around a bit to stop pins and needles and adjust ya man hood.

It's their job to check out ALL of us motorist to make sure we are following the law, laws that makes us all equals and laws that are designed to keep us ALL safe.
