Billet 6061 hub centric spacers with grade 10.5 studs are available for around $150 a set of 4. Billet 6061 is not as good as 7075 aluminum, but it’s stronger that 99% of the cast wheels on the road. Also, spacers are no worse for wheel bearings than similarly offset wheels are. Next thing is how wide can you go without putting to much stress on things..
    I run 1.5mm front and 20mm rear.m hubcentric.
I find my car handling much better..cornering is more tight and less body roll even my suspension feels better..18 inch low tires..Qashqai J11..it was a bit stubby on bumbs etc..but now with the little more leverage of the angle..it feels much better.
So spacers perfect..but just don't over do it ..and if you know your bearings are a bit old already..change them before you put spacers..

Well if you use a 12’ spacer of course it will be dangerous… is a 1/2” spacer more dangerous then no spacer… sure but by what factor. The factor of more dangerous is so small that other factors while driving are a bigger concern,
