Why do people share their sexual behavior. Sexual behavior is a private matter. Now people take on a personal identity based on sexual behavior. Do these people talk about sex at family gatherings? Do they bring up their sexual kinks in front of their parents or grandparents?

It wouldn't surprise me. The very fabric of decency has pretty much been torn down at this point.
I'm loathe to jump on the 'boomers are to blame' train, because I truly think boomers get accused too often. But in this case, the root cause IMO really was that generation, the hippies, counter culture, LSD, free-love, all that nonsense. By successfully overturning the world of morales their parents and grandparents had lived in, they opened the door to subsequent generations becoming ever more degenerate. There's a through-line in societal degradation from 1967 to 2024.

RE: The Swifties, I’ve seen old footage of fans of the Beatles, Elvis, The Jackson Five etc. The crazy doesn’t seem unusual around these types. It seems people get rapped up in the hype and the frenzy and, like Phil said, make these entertainers their new religion. Not sure if social media has made it worse or just more visible.

Bring me the horizon is my favorite band of all time them and Pantera. I've been listening to them since they came out with Suicide Season. Diamonds aren't forever had a residency on my MySpace page. I've stayed with them through the genre change and everything, I've endured the addition of pop into their music. But I don't think this is something I can condone.
