  • Ubisoft has just announced that The Division 2 Brooklyn DLC is delayed indefinitely. They claim it’s to deliver a “quality project,” but let’s be real-this delay is about more than polish. In this video, I break down the timeline of events, connect the dots with other Ubisoft projects like The Division Heartland, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and The Division Resurgence, and expose what’s really happening behind the scenes. Is this about quality, or is Ubisoft in damage control mode? Watch and find out.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments-are you still holding out hope for this DLC?

I knew it months ago during one of the live streams, you could see it on their faces, you could hear it in their voices and you could see it in their body language, being asked about the DLC was an irritant to them and they had zero excitement talking about it.
I also had a feeling when project Dissolve was announced and released which worked for less than a week and went back to being just as broken as always and then when they announced seasonal characters and mods, they keep working on things we AREN'T asking for.
This past season was horrendous, The season itself was a broken stripped down disappointment, the Journey was a tedious mess, the mods themselves weren't fun, the event timeline was lacking as we went 3 times with 3 weeks with nothing to do, all of the reward events stripped out, no more apparel events and no more leagues with back pack trophies (but boy there sure are a lot to BUY lately aren't there) and then a payoff at the end.
The manhunts...excuse me scouts are a joke that take all of 10-15 minutes to complete and now we get more of that minus the DLC in season 7? Yay???....
Well over 2 years is more and enough time to create and "polish" DLC.

There’s no shortage of $30 cosmetics for us to purchase. Apparel caches give nothing but dupes but good luck finding something to buy with the currency they give. Pull out the wallet though because there’s tons of premium currency items to buy. Bugs, server instability, balancing issues, we eat it all up with the unfounded belief that Ubisoft will get around to it. They won’t. I’ve supported this game monetarily, just recently with the premium + season pass when I came back to the game a few weeks ago. So Ubisoft here is one more thing delayed indefinitely, my MTX. If Tensent take over, they might see the potential of this franchise. We don‘t know hoe dedicated the Chinese player base is. There is not really a game like the Division out there and instead of throwing Assassins Creed games out like FIFA every year, they should have given this Unicorn much more love. In the age of whistleblowing it‘s sad that none of the devs seeks a way on the internet to give some insights to what‘s really going on.

This is all summed up with one word INCOMPETENCE! Every release for the division 1 or 2 was and is loaded with bugs, I have played from day one and have seen it all. The only thing they are good at is resurrecting old bug and making new ones. I remember farcry 1 was unplayable on release this is Ubi and always will be. With this latest expected "delay" I am sad to say I am done also, plus ubi will never see another dime from me no matter what the latest greatest this they release is.
I am not familiar with Tencent but I know they own some big IP's maybe the best thing is for Ubisoft to die and be split up. Sorry for the rand I am not mad just very disappointed and feel sorry for the community that has been abandoned, there isn't another community that I have ever seen like the division community.

Remember, WoNY was the end, but we wanted more and got it, although this drip feed is old and tired and repetitive. No more cosmetic buys (to misguidedly) supporting a dead game. I still play every day (dailies) but after 6 years it’s beginning to feel like a chore. They’ve cancelled XDefiant too which had so much potential (the content dump proves that) personally I think that UBI getting involved in star wars sucked the life and finances out of the company. The one thing I don’t understand is why fuck around when they have the framework of a successful game to build on already. TBH I suppose it doesn’t matter what any of us think because they clearly aren’t in a position to give a fuck

It should be painfully obvious by now that Ubisoft is dangling the DLC carrot in front of the foolish players who are paying full-DLC prices for their outfits. The more you buy, the further the delay will be. They know that without the hope of a DLC, no one would pay a cent for the cosmetics. They also know that once / if they launch the DLC, the revenue stream for the game will end with it. No one will continue to fund a dead game. The DLC is the paradox for the game, and with the state of Ubisoft becoming more dire by the minute due to moronic leadership, it doesn't seem as if the DLC will see the light of day-especially when they can follow the Star Citizen method of milking the supporters with purchase offers while infinitely delaying launch. Stop simping for Ubisoft; they are playing you for fools.

Every patch there is a massive issue that screw up our build and it took the dev forever to resolve but the are fast to remove fun builds and using "balancing" as an excuse. I hope Massive is the one to close down next and get rid of these incompetent Dev. The community save Yannick job once during covid, now it's time to let it end. When Ubisoft inevitably goes under I hope somebody else will snatch up the division and start pumping money into it because it's such a cool concept and if the third game gets enough traction it can become a hugely popular franchise. It might be the only hope we have of even seeing a third game within the next decade. Plus being able to have a team devote more attention to the series will greatly increase the scope and quality of the games and expansions, we can only hope.
