Hey I’ve only played for a big year because of covid and I just perfected this move thanks to you! I can barely stick handle yet I still learned how to do the Michigan! Thanks for all your help and the tiles were the best investment ever! I got it 27 out of the 27 tried i did, thanks so much!
Where is Mikael Granlund? I think Granlund's style takes less time and space to do than any of these styles. (And i'm from Finland ofc :D)
Svechnikov's is the same as Granlund's to my eye, but I could be wrong.
Suomi perkele

wish I had an ODR... but we didn't even have snow this Winter
You and me both, it's 65 degrees out right now lol
Vinny G The worst thing is that my PE teacher used to make an ODR in Winter every year, but nowadays it's just too warm.
David Degenhardt i made a 70 by 30 foot rink in the yard and we havnt been able to skate on it once in southern ontario. :(
David Degenhardt bro I’m in Indy and we didn’t even have the two weeks of odr szn we usually do. Climate change is awful
I live in Jackson WY , just got done playing outdoors. Been outside since end of November , we have had ice some winters into March. We are the BEST place in the US for outdoor hockey...very cold , very dry , unreal ice.
Man I wish they had this move when I was a kid playing in the eighties. Now I get to play with my kid and I perfected the move finally this past weekend.. After a lot of practice thanks for the video
I play rec hockey and I wanted to learn to do this move so I looked at several videos but this is the only helpful one.
I’ve done it on my hockey mat in my lawn about 5000 times now. I can do it every time😅. So it’s worth the time to practice because even a rec hockey player can do it
I’m not trying to be rude to rec hockey players btw.
We're still good just not the best
Yeah. I played on a rec team and we won a tournement against try out teams
Finally using the STX stick with the nasty curve
Pretty sure that wouldn’t be legal in most leagues .
As not having a rich family I cannot play on a organized hockey team for a highschool or anything like that. So, the only thing I can really do is go to my local park, which has a roller hockey rink, and practice there. Idk how many times I've tried this and failed. Thanks for the tips.
Nearly everybody on my hockey team don’t come from rich families. There is cheaper equipment if you need
@@ansharora5724 it’s not the equipment, it’s the ridiculous registration prices
@@Drsimp27 yea its pretty crazy, for the rink i play at its about 2k for a fall season
just find a rec team and play some pickup games... or puck and stick public sessions (or puck-chasing or whatever you guys might call it over there). for a pickup game i play 10E/hr which is like very close to 10 bucks an hour. i mean there's cheaper sports out there, but once a week for 10 bucks is not that bad.
2011 Granlund never forget.
Anton Karala no meed to mention everyone
Kato suomalaine
Or Crosby in Rimouski. He made it famous
1996 Mike Legg never forget.
Suomi perkele
I don't even know why I'm watching this, I can hardly stick handle without losing the puck 😂
Dream big bud!
@@CoachJeremy I'll give the Forsberg method a try the next time I'm on the ice!
APEX16 beer league is the place to try and make mistakes brother!
@@ryanjohn6690 I can't even play beer league, because the league starts in the middle of the summer, and the regular season/playoffs are after I go back to college. My school doesn't have a league yet :/
This move is really nice intelligence if you can get it around the post
Its getting overplayed now and works inconsistently
@coachjeremy try a behind the net puck flip in motion. As you skate behind the net, drag and flip the puck over the goalies head- and land it grease high area. Finish by scoring yourself or having a teammate jam it home
You guys forgot the Granlunds goal In world championship game 2011 vs Russia
thanks so much for this i will have to do this for my next varsity game!
Couldnt get the puck on yhe stick before i saw this video, Immediately started practicing at home on dry land before the video ended. Did about 400 tries and was getting 2 in 10 tries by the end. All in less than 1 hour, thanks coaches!!!
I call the backhand Michigan (the HowToHockey) the Crosby. The reason for that is because Crosby tried to do that type of Michigan on Lundquist. (This was like 2 seasons ago but still)
Everyone: It takes years and months to perfect this legendary move...
Coach Jeremy and his friend: You were saying?
No cap
I like that you’re implementing your brother into your videos :)
Haden Hiles ughhhhh😳
Here after Bedard's Michigan last night
I’m a huge canes fan! I’ve liked svech from the second he was drafted. I always had a good feeling about him. Turns out he’s great!
Tropical Space Turtle1 haha but what about when u guys played my caps in the opening round of the playoffs and ovi destroyed him in a fight lmao 😂
@mallory bymers He’s good just not at fighting. He was destroyed in that fight though.
have you seen mikael gralunds goal finland vs russian 2011 SUOMI
"Michigan Style"? We always called that goal "a Legger" because it was Mike Legg who did it. But then, I'm from Michigan (and I was there too!) so "Michigan Goal" wouldn't really narrow it down much for me :).
for a while it was called the crosby shot cuz he did it in juniors then it came back up that the first to do it was a michigan player so it went back to being the miohigan goal
where is granlund??
What my kid does he will jam the puck against the net and get it on his stick and it works very well for him.
Forsberg and Sweden love it so mutch ... im from Sweden
I like the toe scoop version the best forsbeeg
Do the STX stick review that you showed in the ultimate hockey garage video
I know everyone thinks this is a “Michigan” but I learned it on roller from a 14 year old Aaron Hammer refereeing a your roller hockey game at “side by side “ a roller and ice facility in Huntington Beach ca. Long before that Michigan game. On roller you can roll it from the heel to the toe and the puck is on. You don’t really scoop it noticeably.
I literally can do it one handed (either hand) and it’s a great tool to motivate young kids at the power skating camps or clinics I used to coach.
I call it the lefty rap around. You do this move against teams you don’t like or teams you like.... my rule is never if your winning. It’s unstoppable unless a logging defenseman is there then your getting your arm chopped off.
I love when the goalie covers it then you just go opposite side or 5 hole.
Record? 3 in a game all at speed faster than most could skate without a puck and yes I paid the price for those beer league indiscretions. Try the roll method on lce. It might work. Trying to flip it up while doing this actually hurts it more than helps.
I learned this year how to do the svechnikov on ice

Do you remember I'm Adam we meet at the canal
Thank you for taking a picture with us
The Crosby 0:13
Jeremy let’s see you do this in a game
I've never played hockey, can't even afford skates. Big fan of hockey and love to watch it. Maybe this will teach me something
Is it possible to do with the green bistut
Am I able to do this trick using the Crosby curve?, Kane curve?, and Matthew curve?
Jeremy I live right around the corner from that park
I thought I saw someone post about the Michigan "fake-out" goal (that's practically unstoppable by the goalie) recently but have not been able to find the video again that showed someone doing it. Player scoops the puck at speed coming around the back of the net (for example: from left to right) to pull off the Michigan goal, gets the goalie to slide right for the block and then the player stops behind the net and wraps the puck around exposed left side.
The goalie has no time to stretch back to the left to block the shot once they anticipate the "standard" Michigan goal coming.
If anyone has/finds the link to this shot, could you please reply with it here? Thanks!

This is so helpful
I’m only 9 years old and could do the Michigan and between legs and toe drag on puck and I could 1 timers and spinnerama Michigan and backhander and wrist shot and I could flick the puck on to my stick while moving and flick the puck and slap shot in the air shoutout to coach Jeremy for the tips
I am trying to compute Gretzky’s goal total if this known back then.
I think the toe one would work better with a ball on street hockey. Imagine doing it with a ball
This is an epic video Jeremy
Granlund.. is first who make it
I’ll try it soon
It looks so easy 😬
2011 Granlund
Excellent video!
Can you guys try the Michigan fake

I think the grandlund style is better in game
Where is granlund
Haden makes the forster look better
bass stands up to his fishook curve
How did I not make this connection 😂
Hey defense, as soon as their eyes lock on the puck, drill the player into the 3rd row.👍🏾
I’m 11 and i have done all of them in games

Syd87 with the Oceanic in 2003 Come on guys
Just 10/10 times, pretty consistently
I think I don't have to mention Granlund anymore...
Yeah you should practice this on skates; it's more natural. I should rebuilt my rink in the back yard.
imma try the ???
I can do this
Where my red wings fans at?
How's it going LGRW!!🐙🏒
Do you live in Michigan or Washington?
Where is Nils Hoglander?
i think this move is easy but for people that cant zorro its somewhat hard
As a dman you are getting lumber when you try that shit. Cause as a forward there is no chance I could pull it off
nice!
It so funny they cut it 7:15 they cut the clip
Just needed to shorten it because I was zorro-ing for way too long 🤷🏻♂️
I love your channel keep up the good work
@@HadenHiles also can you tell Jeremy I love his videos! Thanks
Is this rink in orillia?
None of these as slick as the Hoglander at WJC
Sirre50 who is Hoglander? Sounds a bit like the Höglander dude
Hi
Nils höglander????
i live in michigan
I know how to do the Michigan move but it took me about 50 times and I’m 10
I could do it every time 😂
Just talked about that with my C.
As a flames fan, the beginning of this video severely triggered me. Hahaha.
