I know that feeling of being cheated on. My dear Sheba was IN. LOVE. with two of my roommates. She continued to abandon me whenever they were at my new place. I had to rehome her because my husband and I had to leave the Bay Area and we didn't know where we would be ending up. She was EMPHATICALLY not a travel kitty.
Sheba went to a new place with total animal lovers. She picked the new caregivers so clearly. I miss her but I know I did right by her. It's been 12 years. The hurt never goes awa. I loved that little Empress.
I won't have another critter to care for until I have my own place. Then I will rescue mom cats with babies.
