Goodness me, that brings back memories! I was always very anxious and scared when I was younger too-if you see this, Lexi, you don't have to write back, but I just wanted to say that you won't always have to feel that way. It sounds like Buddy is helping you feel more settled, too.
Dear Lexi & Mum Jane, Your story is one of my favourites from all the episodes of 'The Dog House'. So pleased that you gave Jim/Buddy a home, he hadn't been treated well before you but now he clearly has a wonderful life. That's great & it is very nice that he has made your lives happier too.
Dear Lexi, Jane, & Buddy, Just realised that in the part of the film clip which has you all at home that Lexi was wearing a jumper which was similar to Buddy's improved coat ! Very good. You all look happier & having a great time. Smashing !
i remember when we adopted my dog we didnt think a lurcher would b suitable cos weve got a cat and there renound for being iffy with their recall and high prey drive but then i left with my little lurcher puppy and it was the best thing that ever happened to me ngl he turned out wayy bigger than i expected ahah 😭
Poor little girl❤️ She need a very good friend, and to let go of her fear of loosing mother…this lovely puddle is so beautiful and perfekt❤️ - But can’t help thinking, that maybe a dog and a cat isn’t the solution…. Was this my daughter, I would sit close to her, hold her hand, hug her, - maybe in a period sleep in same bed , -show her I love her and never will leave her… It is the security in her mother’s love , that is needed for developing a free and happy little girl!
This girl is aged maybe 9-12 though. She needs to learn some independence. Sleeping with mommy just tells her that there actually is something to worry about and will hold her back. Plus, mother needs a good night sleep too so she has the energy to be a good parent. A companion to support her is more likely to build her up.
@@lexismith9782 that's great. Counselling is a great thing. I think everyone should talk to someone when they're feeling anxious. I have anxiety and I see a therapist every week. Seeking help is a strength and it makes you stronger. Sometimes it takes a while to find the right therapist/counsellor but it is worth it when you find the person for you :)
Interesting show but, I much prefer a regular shelter where you can go down the runs and see who you connect with. When I volunteered at a shelter so many came in for one idea of what they wanted but, would connect with something completely different. Every dog I have adopted, I just told them, the cat is in charge - and I never had a problem.
They obviously do this just for the sake of TV. But I don't like them glamourising the rehoming process. The reality is a lot of dogs are not rehomed and it's not good that they make people think they can just drop off their problem children with ease.
Hi its me lexi we do like staffies but are friends dog who we always go on walks with has had bad experiences with staffies and is very nervous around them which is why we wouldn't get one we have nothing against the breed at all x
People say they hate Chihuahuas all the time, yet no one complains about that. 'Get that drowned rat away from me' and then goes and snuggles the Huskey. Tbh, some people don't like some breeds. My friends don't like English Bull Terriers, however, they're my favourite. I think you were just assuming they don't like Staffies because they're 'aggressive' when there was no suggestion or hint of that.
Jacks need a lot of exercise and can be snappy if not trained properly. Staffies can be quite headstrong. Plus if you want something to cuddle they have very short fur
What a dear little girl, she so needed Buddy in her life,so glad this worked out for them all
Lexi is so sweet and I hope her dog will help her with her anxiety. Young people are so vulnerable nowadays.
"can we adopt him?" Yes, Lexi! Bravo 😁❤️🐩

I just love Lexi and Buddy 🧡🧡 Lexi seems such a beautiful person - and looks beautiful too. Buddy is simply cute!

Thats a past life experience!!!! 100 per cent! lots of the new generation kids from 2000 onwards are able to know who they were before.
I’m glad Jim (buddy) found his forever home. 🥰

@@lexismith9782 I'm sorry if my comment offended you. That wasn't my intention. In my experience, most people need to see a therapist about something
@@emmamoffat867 are you American?
As my counsellor told me: "your dog will be the best therapist you ever have" and she was not wrong.
Lovely Sweet story 🥰

I felt really sad when they said they don’t like Staffies.
