@@c3otb816 glad it made sense. Basically it's like an unintentional whip when the wind hits you. That's how you bring a standard whip back is with your legs.
Good video I needed a jump video that went into how to correct the bike when it goes sideways. I tend to freeze and hope it works out which is not a good way to jump. I just crashed on a windy day and broke a rib so I’m paying the price but look forward to next time thanks to your video.
@@moto_head-u2t using your feet and legs is crucial. Watch a normal practice day and watch the fast kids. Pay attention to their feet and legs. They are always using their legs to correct the bike. Wind or no wind, that's how you can correct the bike
@@brettspringett3335 this will actually correct that. You're actually bringing the bottom back too when using your legs. I would not find a track with insane winds and put I to the test tho 😜 thank you!!!
Actually you can manipulate the bike with the bars.. you don’t turn them but you pull and push. Take a BMX bike or any bike hold it vertically in the air and pull and push on the bars and look what it does to the rear or the rest of the bike past the bars.. it moves the more you pull ..
You can manipulate the bars, but that isn't necessarily going to move the 200 lb motorcycle behind you. You could do both, use your legs and manipulate the bars, but I try to teach people to be lite on the bars. Motocross is primarily a leg sport. You can go decently fast using your arms, but that will fatigue you much quicker than your legs will.
makes sense.....thank you so much, I don't even ride when it's windy but now I want to!!!

Argyzz gets so windy , bummer cause track is fun ! Thanx for the stellar tips Jurvich !!

I have to admit...riding in windy conditions is a bit scary. Great presentation, thanks for posting.
@@johnverstegen8836 thank you! for sure, it is scary. Safest way to ride in the wind is to just not do it 😜

Just found your channel and I am going thru all your videos. Great explanations, the pics really help. Keep up the good work!
@@oscarpucheta746 thank you for the feedback, 🙏 keeps me motivated to keep doing it
Good explanation!!! Every other wind jumping video they just say which way to aim your direction which is still sketchy. Thank you
@@boomshakalaka408 thank you!!
Great vid and great channel. The problem i have in the wind is when the bottom of the bikes starts to go sideways. I never know what to do..

Thank you!
Do you put your feet back on the pegs before you land , or as you are landing?
@@chandlerveasey4259 just have to make sure they get back right before you land
