I grew up with my 85 yr old neighbor playing the organ. Anything like this makes me feel warm, cuddley, and safe. His name was Ernie Battery in Torrance, California. I remember you Ernie👍. Thank you❤
See also: *John Medeski* of Medeski, Martin & Wood. I feel strongly that the incomparably beautiful Leslie speakers should only go to the best organists (think Stradivarius violins to only the finest), so I’m glad he’s got one too. (or did in earlier KEXT session; I didn’t have video for this one tho eep) Hope DLo3 get to play a hundred gigs this summer for sure!
Jimmy James is my all-time favorite guitarist. His feel is just amazing - those bends, the vibrato…the soul he puts into his playing it's just next level. I wish I could play like him. If he was alive in the 60's he would be a household name. DLOT, you guys are so tight! Those grooves, the swing...it's just awesome.
I just found out about these guys this week, but Jimmy James is easily becoming one of my faves. I've been burning through The True Loves and Organ trio albums like no ones business
I miss David McGraw on drums too, but this guy is also a pocket machine. And the sound of that snare is snappy AF, and those Istanbul Mehmet are the perfect match.
Thanks Jonhattan, I appreciate the kind words! I’m trying my best to fill the shoes of previous drummers! And yes, I love my Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals, they are exactly what I was looking for. If you have questions about them, holler at me!! -Dan
Jimmy James is a genius, I have to see Jordan Peele do an impression; surprising everyone how his solo keeps getting better and better as the song goes on....
I just fucking love these guys, so kool so original so musical. No one is close to them. Love Alabama shakes and there probably the closest thing. Just getting there funk on totally pure musicians and fucking love it.
@@leemsky Most people do. The synapses are built by mucho practice! Having said that, he and the other organ masters have, I think, a neurological advantage. Plus, remember, Delvon was a drummer before this.

When Jimmy Smith first came up with that kind of bass technique, back in 1955, it changed everything. There have been some brilliant organ bass players since then, and Delvon is one of them!

LOL. Once again my mind is blown! I love that you counted the duration too. And then that I had to also count it. Plus, that's not altogether a bad guitar solo that follows immediately afterwards!

DLO3 has been my "happy place" music for the last few years. Both (past and present) drummers lay down the perfect groove. I really can't explain how deep in my soul their music reaches. Thank you DLO3.
I was lucky to see DLo3 in Louisivlle, Ky almost a year ago. They put on an AMAZING set! If you have a chance to see them live (when live music returns) you owe it to yourself to go see them!
This is ridiculously good. One take? Untreated front room of a house, in the middle of the day? Instruments AND spoken voice are crystal clear? It just seems unfair.
This Stratocaster looks awesome and sounds like a charm !!! I discovered the band only a few weeks ago and I'm already a huge fan, great feeling and tunes, hope to catch them live in France sometimes ;)
Your previous records helped a lot coping with last years absence of live music. Now this comes up and this year allready seems to be a good one. Thank's for the music!
Great Organ playing, the guitarist reminds me of the Meters which is a recommendation in itself, but the DRUMMER is fucken ROCK SOLID! It don’t get better than this!

Lamarr killing it on the bass, on the organ. These guys are an American treasure.
Just discovered Delvon Lamarr at a jazz festival in Paris but with a different team, these 2 guys are even better
If this don't get you to Friday on a cold, rainy Wednesday then nothing will. Ty!
I love how Jimmy James just plugs straight in and then just casually leans back and turns up his amp for solos - Awesome.
Looks like he’s using the Hot Rod Deluxe. I’m guessing he’s just switching to the Drive channel.
