Do appreciate the TRX4 support you show on your channel, very informative. Showing all the option parts from Traxxas again, very informative. This has helped my son and I build up our very own TRX4 Sport (also desert tan) to the RC vehicle we like and style to the driving we do with it. Plans are in the works to purchase the TRX4 Traxx and your video timing perfect. Job well done!!! Yes, the notification bell and subscribe button have been selected. Cheers!!!
I have the traxx and love it, I use it in all conditions and for light rock crawling. Could you do a good video about servicing/cleaning and tensioning the Traxx?
@@charlesbaril3038 I have a weird problem? With a little acceleration the front right and rear left wheels don’t have power, with medium throttle only the font right has no power but at full throttle all wheels have power?
I just picked up the TRX 4 sport with the traxx that Traxxas just put out can't wait to try it out, and comes with both sets of tracks and wheels and tires and lights, such a cool package...love your sport looks awesome..👍👍
I got the TRX4 sport bundle that came with the standard and deep tread TRAXX and a set of wheels/tires. They have been working great! I did have to tighten them a bit to keep from skipping. In wet/warm snow conditions it gets frustrating how fast the drive gears ice and pack up. Although when its colder with dry snow they are awesome!!
Great driving video. I bought a set of Trax for my Axial Jeep and am making portal brackets so that they'll fit Almost finished and should have it running in the snow tomorrow.
Nice rig! Just got one for Christmas and recently got back into the hobby, but I'm in a new area. Thus far, loving the way this thing performs, but am wanting to upgrade the transmission to a 2 speed. Just subscribed to the channel, keep up the great work!
Great video brother, loved this playlist for sure. Really LOVE the results of the build! Maybe one day 🤞. Speed is not the only source of smiles 😊😁😊😁😊😁😁
Waiting on New York's 2022 snowfall right now! I've got them first set of tracks, love em, these extra duty ones look amazing, I had no idea I could upgrade other than bearings, but I prefer the bushings, great video brother
Thanks for presenting those upgrades. You're totally right. The standard Traxx cannot handle this kind of snow. I made last weekend a video (will released tomorrow) and had some bad fails, including overheating motor and ESC. Especially fresh and wet snow makes some issues. Now I'm thinkig of upgrading the Traxx.
Looks like an awesome time out in the snow! I hate mud and hate cleaning up muddy trucks so this would be the only time I'd end up running them but it totally looks worth it to get some just to be able to go out when everything else is benched due to the snow!
My TRX Tracks got frozen up and it lost its' 4X4 ability. The center hub would turn but the track would not work. I had to bring it in and thaw it out and it works fine. I can't wait for the snow to go away so I can take it to the Gravel pit. For 525.00 I got the TRX Sport Tracks Truck Kit. Has 2 different types of tracks, wheel Kit, Light Kit, safari off road kit and inside fender wells to keep out the dirt etc. It was a steal.
Hi! Great video and review of the Traxx! 💪😃 Do you think a stock Trx4-Sport (no 2nd gear; Diffs locked) can handle the traxx nicely? I am worrying about steering with all-time-locked diffs, the stock 21Turns motor and pinion as also the overall speed with only 1 gear. What do you recommend? 👍 Cheers 😃
I would like to see a comparison video between stock trx with tires vs. tracks in snow. We have a lot of snow were I live so i need to know this before purchase. Thanks!
Thats sick those tracks are cool as hell it still sinks quite a bit i wonder if there is any way you get a wider track or somehow double up the tracks on all 4 corners
I don’t have tracks on mine or my son’s but I have been amazed how long the stock motors have lasted us. Mine has been under load crawling in 90 deg weather a lot and my son’s has spent much time in 2nd gear bashing and climbing pea gravel hills sorta like gravelrama lol. Cool video I love RV in the snow. Maybe tracks are in my future. My boy’s trx4 has a lift and emaxx tires/wheels atm so maybe paddle tires for his 3s mini e revo!!!
I agree. That stock motor didn’t owe me anything. It’s a brushed motor which means it’ll wear out at some point and it’s been through a lot of abuse prior. Have fun with those rigs! 😎
It's shocking the improvement a Holmes hobbies 12T Crawlmaster motor will make on a stock TRX4. It is worth the research and no wires need to be cut. Same price too.
Are you doing an ultimate TRX4 build with only traxxas upgrade parts? If so you have done what I’ve been looking for for the last 5 years! Ever since the first TRX4 was released it’s not been done enough ( I want to do it myself but not on £1 a day )
I'm in the Pac NW, and last summer I bought a set of TRAXX, anticipating that we'd get a few good snow days, but all the snow has been at higher elevation only, with the exception of one time before Christmas. It looks like I'll have to drive in towards the mountains in order to find some snow. :(
The newest TRX4 Traxx comes with lights and the original light power supply. Can I run the rock lights, scene lights and the front bumper light as add ons with the basic setup? I dont really want the fancy light controller at this time. Thanks for the help!
They do look like the perform better than the stock tracks. They do seem to be one of those mods that only have two mind sets, people love them or they hate them not really any middle ground.
Thanks for the big effort that you put in, making good reviews of products, to help people like me in the r/c community. What would be a good set of tracks that would work on the SCX10 III Gladiator ?
That is one great looking TRX4 you have created there! So what actually caused the motor to burn out? Do the tracks have a greater rolling resistance or is there something specific about tracks in the snow? I assumed snow would be easier on a car than say mud?
I am really want to get a Maxx! However there is also the Hoss as an option. Which one do you like best? Only looking at fun factor and leaving cost aside.
@@rcdriver Thank you! I even like videos where you just go out and have fun bashing. I believe the sometimes fun factor precedes technical specs when choosing a basher, especially a 4x4 monster truck.
Hello this is Thomas Callison from Winterhaven Florida and I just bought across country 1970 off road Buggy I would like to know your opinion on this thank you have a good day
So, now for the $64,000 question: Do the Traxx actually work better than a set of aggressive tires with soft foam inserts? I ask because, in my experience, tracks just don't work well on RCs. I had a Kyosho snowcat with full-length metal-treaded tracks, and even that couldn't handle snow very well, so I'm suspicious of any setup that is objectively less aggressive than a snowcat actually being able to run well.
All types of tracks faile in sand i tried everything crawler with tracks and tanks and rc Ripsaw and wpl with tracks all failled . Iam very sad no body telling thats to new hobbiest

So how do they grip on ice? Seems like they'd just slide sideways.
And what about deeper (>1') soft snow?
I got the deep Traxx last week, still haven't installed them!!! Now I will, you have motivated me. All the snow is gone around here!!!

You gotta do some custom mods to this truck. Like some after market accessories from other companies. Great vid Greg 👍🤙
This particular one is all Traxxas. But I have several TXRX-4’s and at least one of them will get the aftermarket treatment at some point. 😀

Can you make the interior for the bronco build

The bogey wheels didn't look like they were all turning. Did it affect the length of battery life? Any drag?

is it possible to mount this on a slash?
Really cool video. But Tracks are mounted the wrong direction
A modified Clod would devour that snow environment.
So the XMaxx won't drive in snow?
Do you do anything after running in snow? Or do you simply let it dry and clean the dirt off?
I use an air compressor and gently blow out all the snow from the tracks, then air dry and wipe down.
