Having Joey Belladonna back around is definitely considered the classic lineup, but what John Bush brought to the table can NEVER be underestimated. He helped shape the band into writing more though provoking material, more complicated arrangements and let's be honest, a more deliverable vocal style. In the early days of the Big 4 and thrash, John Bush was considered the lottery if you get him to sing for your band. Of all the vocalists at the time, he stood out ahead of anyone else, still does
Belladonna is Steve Perry compared to bush rock n roll, they sound so much better w bush. I was so happy to meet him,such a humble nice guy. Almost got Metallica under his belt.

Absolutely! Never got that much into Anthrax, but no matter how my taste in music evolved and changed over 20 years - this always remained as on of my absolute favorites. Like an old cherished friend I still see from time to time. Some songs are just more than songs.

anthrax got some hidden gems, its sad that they dont get all the love they deserve. persistence of time, sound of white noise and weve come for you all are underrated
masterpieces.
Nearly 6 years passed since the last time that I heard this song and after all this time, for me, this is still one of best songs from Anthrax. Everytime I listen to this song it nearly makes me cry because it's so sad and beautiful at the same time.

I used to feel I had to justify why this was my favorite Anthrax tune back in the day. As the years rolled on I found more and more people seeing the sadness and beauty in this song the same as I did.

HEDWIG ETCETERA John is good live. But his albums with the band weren't so good.
Its a difficult one, but I related more to John Bush being in Anthrax than Belladonna. No offence to Joey, but theres only Persistence of Time that gave me anything. Maybe State of Euphoria aswell. but not much else.

Lots of this was shot 2 blocks from my house near Rolling Stones records just outside of Chicago and concert footage was at the Metro..

I was wondering if that was Rolling Stone Records so thanks for confirming my suspicions. As for that being the Metro, I could not tell, I was thinking it was House of Blues or the Aragon. Since I don’t remember that architecture of the Metro.
When John was in the band the WHOLE dynamic changed, for the better. Big FATTER grooves, waaaaaay catchier songs but
still heavy and dynamic, love the gravel in his voice suits this style soooooooo well. Their writing seemed to be more on point when he was involved. For me, THIS is the Anthrax that makes me want to listen to more and more songs back to back and not it hit skip. I wish they

I always enjoyed Anthrax with John Bush as well. That sound kept them fresh and relevant for me when I was 14. Especpecially this one. It has a very special place in my heart and memory.

7 years have gone by, and this song still strikes one hell of a chord with me.
When Anthrax goes "hard rock". Every time I listen to it, can't wait for the solo. This is my favorite solo by Rob while in Anthrax. It just fits the song and picks it up very well. He was underrated in the band.
It's almost 2019 and still this song is pure gold! Just be kind to each other and embrace life!

Probably the first Anthrax song I've listened. Still love it to this day along with lots of stuff they've done after and before.
If I remember correctly how they got Keanu Reeves was Scott used to write a blog on the bands website. And he said how this song was gonna be the lead song off WCFYA. He said it would be awesome to get Keanu Reeves to do it because it was right about the time the Matrix Reloaded was going to come out. Then all of a sudden he did it for them. I guess they only were able to film him for like thirty minutes or so, but he did it because he liked the fact that they wanted him in it. I could be wrong but he did it for free too. Cool guy that Keanu.

Niko S I read that Anthrax were at some fancy party with loads of Hollywood actors and a lot of them said they would appear in the music video. Then when the day came, only Keanu showed up.

Anthrax fan since 1st album. Bush is the best vocalist they ever had; he can sing anything in their catalogue. Unfortunately,Belladonna can't. IMO,Catharsis from Vol 8 is his greatest performance.

Love old scool heavy metal. Thrash and melodic doom and some death metal are my main genres in metal but i find these kind of bands inspire me and calm me a lot more than those other genres, especially when im down in a way where i dont wanna feel any more negativity or sadness. Everything has its time i suppose

I've met Anthrax a couple of times. 2018 and 2023. I met John Bush with Armored Saint yesterday afternoon and I met Keanu Reeves with Dogstar last year.
