I remember XG had like 600k to 800k unique monthly listeners on Spotify before Shooting Star and now they're hovering over 4M in less than a month. Very proud of the growth. Truly the most organic rise in popularity for GGs in recent years. They're rising on the basis of their talents alone. It's pretty incredible to watch.
Well said! sO TRUE! and sooo amazed how diverse the people that stan them! i love reaction videos where non kpop people or even those that are long time kpop fans are instantly falling for these queens! the talent is undeniable! and the swagggg !!! crazy!!! and i love how their exec pd calls their music as #XPOP because it's true to their core identity!!! Is it "organic" if it's heavily due to marketing? I had never heard of them before an ad to the video was shown to me on Facebook. And I still don't know anybody who knows them. All I've seen or heard from them has been algorithm-induced.
I'm not judging, the ad was spot on, I got hooked. I'm just trying to make sense of the term.

Korean girls don't wear or have fashion or style in real life. South Korea is very modest dressed and they don't cosplay on the streets. Japan & China, Thailand, and Singapore all have actual styles and cosplay. South Korea does not have any styles but through Kpop Idols, they get to see their idols wear cosplay on stages from uniforms to colorful clothing that are borrowed and rented. XG is from Avex and XGALX, meaning these are Japanese styles and they get to keep their entire wardrobes.

@@HipHopLucky7 As someone into Korean fashion and brands, this is so badly wrong, Korea has a ton of styles and had its own Y2K era in Korea just like Japan did. These aren’t really disticive harujuku styles either, these are pretty but basic revival Y2K styles

the Americans brought it back into fashion some time ago, there is a reason why the Kardashians went down in popularity and models like Bella Hadid or Lily Rose are now top models, just because new jeans has transformed it to their personality doesn't mean that they are the owners of a style that was already used a long time ago.

The style is for sure not unique but they are really talented.

This group just does an amazing job of showcasing their own identity and persona in their work. As I look at their other MVs and performances, you can see how they gradually developed and improved over a close duration of time. It's amazing to see a new presence that is able to captivate me this way. I applaud their work and hope for their greatness. Future designs, dances, and concepts will be highly anticipated.
the styling for this era is so crazy. just their hairstyles (mv and live stages) alone must have taken a lot of time to conceptualise. they're all so unique and different!
edit: also, i love that their stylist team know what looks best for each of them! as individuals they all have different looks that complements their individual styles but at the same time nothing seemed out of place as a team.
You guys, the final dance sequence at 2:57 is so beautiful. The fireworks, the outfits, the Y2K theme, the girls in line-formation doing the "oOoOoh" bobble head move... everything is chef's kiss and so beautiful. There is nothing as magical as this in the pop world, K-Pop or even elsewhere.

Today I was in a store looking for new stuff and suddenly I heard Shooting Star on german radio for the first time! 🤩🤩😍😍I couldn't believe it and thought I was dreaming since I listen to their songs all day. Haha, I thought that moment was so special that I took out my phone to record it. What surprised me the most was that their song was actually played in a store located in a small village that no one actually knows xD
In such a short time XG were able to increase their fame worldwide. I'm 100% sure the girls will go very far. Like Jackson Wang already said XG is the future!
