Icelandic is a little easier to speak than Danish and Faroese. Faroese is written in a similar way to Icelandic, but it is different to speak. To me, who doesn't know much about it, Faroese seems like a mix of Icelandic and Danish, Icelandic and Faroese are purer languages without so many branches, very curious.

Saying "takk fyrir" definitely gets you a long way in Iceland. People's faces light up when you say it.

We have an easier time understanding Faroese but it’s still a headscratcher
