Can you imagine hearing this for the first time at a dance club? The dance floor is jammed 1000 people, overcapacity, with Go by Moby coming through the speakers. It was a very bizarre & surreal time being in your early 20’s & this music emerging...
I can't find anywhere the version which was on almost every techno bootleg cassette released sometime around 90-91. It was without the Twin Peaks motive, it contained the "GO" sample, it revolved around this certain very aggressive, harsh sound with climbing pitch, it had 909 kick and breakbeat loop. It was fast, and very very aggressive. It was on various technotrax compilations usually packed with artists like 80AUM, Interactive, Misteria, T99 etc... I consider THAT version the original - mainly because that was the first one i heard. THEN i got to the Twin Peaks version, and this version from the Mobility EP i'm hearing for the first time ever. Did someone recognized the version i was trying to describe? It was 1991 version i think.
No, it's the Rainforest Mix. Thanks Trev. I though that i send that "thank you" long time ago, but i apparently did not. So again Thank You, the Rainforest Mix was exactly what i was looking for. That's the version of GO i considered being the original for a long time. I thought that the version with the Twin Peaks motive is some kind of remix. And it was the other way around. Still, it's weird, because the Rainforest Mix was everywhere back then. I heard the Twin Peaks version for the first time when almost 2 years passed since i heard the Rainforest Mix.

maybe the barracuda mix?

@@flare242 thanks to you I found that too! I forgot about it and it's still really good!
Yep, the rainforest mix was my go to as well during our techno nights in seattle. It’s all coming back to me now…😆✨
It's Play (1990) and don't confuse with the album (1999).
Go it's the Twin Peaks mix (1991)...
The rest of this song has aged beautifully, but that clap has not kept up.
you're right the first version known as "original" is the woodtick mix ;-)
moop moop moop moop.....
feels like larry levan
I think the other 'Original' is actually the 'Woodtick remix'.
